RadioOnFire.com - Morgan Creek Productions released a trailer for its biopic on the late Tupac Shakur on Tuesday morning [September 13]. Today marks the date Shakur lost his life, six days after he was gunned down on the Las Vegas strip in 1996. It is the second teaser the makers of "All Eyez On Me" has put out, and it comes on the 20th anniversary of the icon's death.
The visual is a reflective one, which begins with Pac making reference to his name having been mentioned by the Vice President at the time [Dan Quayle], before reeling back and forth between his formative years with his mother, Afeni, and his eventual rise to stardom. Much of the clip gives focus to Tupac's inception into Death Row Records, following his release from prison, highlighting the label's violent culture and how it consumed the rapper to his demise.
Directed by Benny Boom and starring Jamal Woolard, Grace Gibson, Danai Gurira, Kat Graham, and Stefon Washington, "All Eyez On Me" is set to premiere in theaters on November 11.
