Former Gov. O'Malley Fails To Qualify For Ohio Primary Ballot

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley has failed to qualify for Ohio's primary ballot, falling short of the signatures needed to appear before the state's voters.
A spokesman for Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted (HYOO'-sted) tells The Associated Press that O'Malley failed to get the 1,000 valid signatures needed to appear on March 15 primary ballots. The former Maryland governor's campaign submitted 1,175 signatures, but only 772 were found to be valid.
Messages seeking comment have been left for an O'Malley spokeswoman.
O'Malley is running an underdog bid for his party's nomination against Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
Clinton already has the support of some key Democratic insiders in Ohio, where she won the 2008 primary over Barack Obama.

The same actor, Jamal Woolard, who played Biggie in the 2009 Notorious biopic will be resurrecting the late great Christopher Wallace once again.

The producers were so shocked at how perfectly Jamal played Big that there was no doubt he was getting casted yet again.

Probation Judge's Travel Restrictions Costing Meek Mill A Lot Of Money

Travel restrictions handed down by Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley in a Philadelphia courtroom on Thursday, December 17, are costing Meek Mill a lot ofmoney.
Meek, real name Robert Williams, was found guilty of violating his probation. He will have to appear back in court on February 5, to find out if he will be sent back to jail.
Brinkley ruled that the 28-year old rapper cannot leave Philadelphia and can't work or perform except for community service until then.
TMZ reports that the timing is especially bad for Meek financially because of previous commitments.
He is paying the lease on a Los Angeles home he lives in with girlfriend Nicki Minaj, has concerts lined up and studio time booked in L.A. for $15,000 a week.
Meek is also worried about backlash he'll receive from fans when he doesn't show up for a sold out Las Vegas concert he and Nicki have booked.

In Year-End Press Conference, Obama Applauds Budget Deal

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The latest from President Barack Obama's year-end news conference with reporters at the White House. All times are local.
2:25 p.m.
President Barack Obama is applauding Congress for passing a $1.1 trillion bill to fund the government and avert the possibility of a shutdown for the first nine months of next year.
At a news conference, Obama said Congress is ending the year on a "high note" and noted the passage of transportation and education bills.
Obama, who is expected to sign it, says he's not "wild about everything" in the spending bill. But he says it is a budget that invests in the U.S. military and the middle class.
He says Congress still needs to promote job growth and increase wages, and he says he wants to work with lawmakers next year to reform the criminal justice system.
---
2:15 p.m.
President Barack Obama says 6 million people have signed up for coverage under his health care law so far this year.
Officials say that shows the program is strong and providing consumers with a valuable service.
Thursday was the deadline to enroll for coverage that takes effect Jan. 1.
Through Thursday, 6 million people had signed up in the 38 states using the HealthCare.gov website.
Of these, 2.4 million were new customers. Officials say that's well ahead of new sign-ups at this time last year.
Despite the latest numbers, the administration is not revising its overall enrollment target, which is 10 million paying customers by the end of 2016. That would be a modest gain over this year.
Jan. 31 is the last day to enroll or face potential fines.

Pharmaceutical Kingpin Martin Shkreli Arrested For Securities Fraud. He Had Vowed To Bail Bobby Shmurda Out Of Jail

Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO, Martin Shkreli, was arrested by the FBI on Thursday, December 17.
The 32-year old Brooklyn, New York native, who just this week said he would bail Bobby Shmurda out of jail, and had previously paid $2 million for the Wu Tang Clan's secret album, "Once Upon a Time In Shaolin," has been charged with securities fraud, according to Bloomberg.
A boyish drug company entrepreneur, who rocketed to infamy by hiking up the price of a life-saving pill from $13.50 to $750, was arrested by federal agents at his Manhattan home early Thursday morning on securities fraud related to a firm he founded.
Martin Shkreli, 32, ignited a firestorm over drug prices in September and became a symbol of defiant greed. The federal case against him has nothing to do with pharmaceutical costs, however. Prosecutors in Brooklyn charged him with illegally taking stock from Retrophin Inc., a biotechnology firm he started in 2011, and using it to pay off debts from unrelated business dealings. He was later ousted from the company, where he’d been chief executive officer, and sued by its board.
In the case that closely tracks that suit, federal prosecutors accused Shkreli of engaging in a complicated shell game after his defunct hedge fund, MSMBCapital Management, lost millions. He is alleged to have made secret payoffs and set up sham consulting arrangements. A New York lawyer, Evan Greebel, was also arrested early Thursday. He's accused of conspiring with Shkreli in part of the scheme.

Sports: Serena Williams Delivers Inspiring Speech for ‘Sportsperson of the Year’ Award

Serena Williams has had an amazing career period but this past year was especially good as she completed a “Serena Slam” complete with wins at the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon.  She now holds four major trophies in each competition as well as the US Open.  She was honored on Tuesday night with Sports Illustrated’s “Sportsperson of the Year” award.  Williams delivered an awesome speech, thanking everyone in her life who’s helped her get to where she is and addressed the doubters and obstacles she had to overcome.
“I’ve had my shares ups and downs.  I’ve had many struggles.  I’ve had blood clots in both my lungs at the same time.  I’ve lived through tragedies and controversies and horses (laughs).  I had to say it; basically I’ve been through it all.  I’ve had people look down on me.  I’ve had people put me down because I didn’t look like them, I look stronger.  I’ve had people look past me because of the color of my skin.  I’ve had people overlook me because I was a woman.  I had critics say I will never win another Grand Slam when I was only at number seven and now here I stand with 21 Grand Slam titles and I’m still going.”
Serena delivered a joke about the people who were mad she won the award over American Pharoah, the horse that won the Triple Crown this year.  She ended the speech with an excerpt from her “favorite poet” Maya Angelou’s infamous poem “And Still I Rise”.

Black Donald Trump Supporters Reveal Their Reasoning For Backing Up The Republican Candidate

With the stupidity that spills out of Donald Trump’s mouth on a regular, most have assumed that the Republican presidential candidate has not supporters of color; but that’s not the case. Two Black women, Lynette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, have spoken out on their reasons for having Trump’s backside.
“He wants to secure our borders to keep America and the American people safe,” says the ladies. “He wants to bring back our good jobs where people are thriving again and he wants to make America Greater and stronger where our country is reverenced again.”
Find out more down bottom.

Do you call yourselves Republicans? Why or Why not?
We now call ourselves Republicans because we switched our party to Republican only to vote for Donald Trump
When President Obama was running for office did you support his run? Why or Why not?
We did what we were taught to do, that’s to vote Democrat
Have you received death threats or hate mail because of your support? What was the worst case and how did you handle it?
We handle hate with love because we know people only attack what they fear
How do you think you are viewed in Black America, especially in social media like #Black Twitter? Have these comments been fair or hurtful in your opinion?
Our support comes from people of all races in the United States and around the world. Although we know that some people may have a difference of opinion, we know that the more some spew hate the more we have to educate
Hardaway and Richardson voice their opinion on critics claiming, “Ignorance is continuing to vote for a Democratic system that promises you hope and change just to get your votes, only to realize that the same system is designed to give you more of the same; poverty, impoverished neighborhood, no jobs and no hope.”

Boosie Badazz Forced To Pay $90K For Surgery Because He Has No Health Insurance

Rapper Boosie Badazz just came home from prison not too long ago, and he is already facing life-threatening issues since he has been home.

The “Wipe Me Down” rapper recently announced that he has been diagnosed with cancer, which he had surgery for just a few days ago. While he was under the knife, sources reveal that he lost a long in the process of removing the cancer from his body.

As we all know, hospital stays are rather costly and without insurance, it is almost impossible to cover the entire bill. After Boosie’s surgery, the tab for his entire surgery came out to $90,000 that he had to pay out of pocket due to the fact he has no health insurance. Luckily he is healthy and cancer-free now, but I’m sure his pockets are feeling his pain!

Ronda Rousey On Holly Holm: "I Need To Beat This Chick!"

It's been a tough few weeks for Ronda Rousey since her devastating knockout loss toHolly Holm at UFC 193. Not only did Holm walk out of the octagon with the bantamweight belt, but for the first time in Rousey's professional mixed martial arts career, she was defeated.
The former champion covers ESPN The Magazine's "Ideas of the Year" issue. In it, she opens up for the first time about the fight, injuries she sustained and her desire to come back.
"It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact," she tells writer Ramona Shelburne. "I'm just really f*cking sad. I need to come back. I need to beat this chick. Who knows if I'm going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open. I have to f*cking do it."
Rousey's ground game has never been in question. In 1992 she became the first woman to medal in the Olympics when she took home the bronze in judo. She had used her skills as a judoka to walk through her opponents on the way to a 12-0 record.
She's worked hard on her stand up game in an effort to become a more well rounded fighter. She's not yet at an elite level with her hands and that proved to be her downfall against Holm, a former professional boxer and kickboxer.

Trump Calls for 'Total and Complete Shutdown' of Muslims Entering the US

In a statement released Monday, Republican candidate Donald Trump called for a "total and complete shutdown" of Muslims entering the United States until "our country's representatives can figure out what is going on."
"Mr. Trump stated, 'Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension. Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life.'"

When asked by ABC News which Muslims would be banned from entering, Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowki told ABC’s Tom Llamas "the ban applies to everyone."
The Republican presidential candidate will be holding a “Pearl Harbor Day rally” later on Monday aboard the USS Yorkton in South Carolina.
Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley has been quick to jump on Trump’s statement, tweeting that Trump is running for office as a “fascist demagogue.”

Analysis: Obama Offers Reassurance, Little Policy In Speech

There were no new policy prescriptions, no fresh military strategies and no timelines. When President Barack Obama seized the spotlight for a rare prime time address Sunday night, he came with one major message: It's going to be OK.
Standing in the Oval Office, Obama sought to calm nerves and quiet a chorus of critics who charge the president has been too slow to acknowledge the threat posed by Islamic radicalism and too tepid in his response.
"The threat from terrorism is real, but we will overcome it. We will destroy ISIL and any other organization that tries to harm us," he said, using an alternative acronym for the Islamic State group. "... We will prevail by being strong and smart, resilient and relentless. And by drawing upon every aspect of American power."

President Obama to Deliver Oval Office Speech on San Bernardino

(WASHINGTON) -- President Obama will address the nation Sunday evening on the San Bernardino shootings in a rare speech from the Oval Office.
The White House announced the speech as a new addition to the president's weekend schedule, with it scheduled for 8 p.m. ET Sunday.
It will be President Obama’s third Oval Office speech as president, his first since announcing the end of U.S. combat operations in Iraq on Aug. 31, 2010.
President Obama met with his national security team to receive an update Saturday morning on the San Bernardino shooting, reaffirming the FBI had not yet found any indication the two shooters were part of any larger international terror networks or cells.
The White House says that during the  address Obama will provide an update on the attack that killed 14 and wounded 21, and will also discuss the broader threat of terrorism. He will talk about the nature of the threat, how it has evolved and how he plans to defeat it.

Obama will talk more about his determination that the Islamic State group must be destroyed. And he will make the case that the United States must draw on the nation's values - its commitment to justice, equality and freedom - to prevail.
Hear the speech live on RadioOnFire.com starting at 8 p.m.

President Obama Visits Paris Terror Attack Site

President Obama made an impromptu stop at the Bataclan theater, one of the sites targeted by terrorists in the deadly Paris attacks earlier this month.
Before his scheduled appearance at the international climate control conference, he laid a single white flower, bowed his head and stood in silence at a candle-laden memorial outside the theater. President Obama's visit comes two weeks after France's capital city was rocked by terror attacks that killed 130 people.

Denver Broncos Make Huge Statement In Victory Over Patriots

DENVER -- If the Denver Broncos end this season with a Super Bowl victory, they will look back on this night as the pivotal moment in that quest. They have enjoyed some exciting victories thus far. They have proven their mettle in difficult situations as well. What they hadn't done before Sunday night's 30-24 overtime win over New England was compete in a way that should have the rest of the NFL concerned about how dangerous they will be come January.
This wasn't merely a huge win over a long-time rival. This was a victory over a Patriots team that had entered the game with a 10-0 record and plenty of people thinking they were the best team in the league. It was a game that saw Denver fall behind by 14 points in the fourth quarter, which usually means death for an opponent facing the time-tested tag-team of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. It was a gut check for a Denver squad that is continually redefining itself in the second half of this season.
