Chicago R&B Singer Johnny P Dead at 44

RadioOnFire.com - R&B singer John Pigram, who came to be known by fans as Johnny P, passed away on Sunday, November 27.
Rumor of the Chicago crooner's death began to circulate after he was admitted into Mount Sinai Hospital last week. But while an undisclosed health crisis had resulted in him slipping into a coma, Pigram remained on life support until Sunday evening. Fans will recall Johnny P having suffered medical complications earlier this year, only to fight back towards recovery prior to the relapse of his health.
Signed to 10-album contract at the age of 16, at one time Johnny P looked to be one of Columbia Records' most promising artists. While he was most notable for his work in the Chi-Town scene, his success would eventually bridge beyond his contributions to the group Do or Die and collaborations with such local legends as rapper Twista. In 1998 Pigram released his Rap-A-Lot Records debut "The Next", which featured appearances from Scarface and Mike Dean. His assistance on Scarface's 1997 hit "Smile" featuring Tupac was one of the highlights of his career, but beyond radio he toured with the likes of Whitney Houston, MC Hammer, The Jacksons, and Regina Bell among many others.
He was 44-years-old.

Knife-Wielding Man Shot By Police In Northeast Baltimore

RadioOnFire.com - A man wielding knives was injured in a police-involved shooting Friday morning in northeast Baltimore.
The shooting happened on 3300 block of Greenmount Avenue near East 33rd Street around 9:30 a.m., witnesses said.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis held a news conference shortly before 11:30 a.m. to provide an update on the situation.
"Earlier this morning we received a 911 call for a man armed with knives who was threatening folks in and out of this business area, right here in a busy part of Waverly, the day after Thanksgiving. He was also threatening people who were waiting at the bus stop with the knives, so that generated a 911 call to the Baltimore Police Department. We responded immediately," Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said.
Davis said three uniformed police officers responded to the scene and issued verbal commands to the suspect, but he refused to drop the knives. Officers then used a Taser on the man, but it did not take effect, Davis said.
"None of those efforts worked to disarm this man," Davis said. "Two of our police officers then discharged their firearms and they struck the suspect several times. I don't know exactly how many. He's in critical condition right now."
The man is being treated at a local hospital. He has not been identified.
At least one officer was wearing a body camera, Davis said.
"We're in the process of reviewing that body-worn camera right now for that footage, and if and when that footage is retrieved and is of value to share with (the media) and the community, it's certainly our intention to do that," Davis said.
Davis praised the officers called to the scene for their efforts.
"I'm so proud of these officers the way they responded to the scene, the way they attempted to de-escalate. Unfortunately, that didn't work and then their use of a non-lethal tool, like a Taser, is something that we train and we expect of our police officers, and by all accounts, preliminarily, they did just that," Davis said.
The armed man's motive were not clear, police said.
"I'm not sure what his state of mind was. I think it's safe to say it was unstable. It was threatening. It was menacing, and thank God none of our citizens got hurt out here," Davis said.
Officers rendered first aid right after shooting the suspect, Davis said.
This is the second police-involved police shooting this week.

Police-Involved Shooting In West Baltimore Leaves Man Injured

RadioOnFire.com - Baltimore police are investigating a police-involved shooting, city police spokesman Detective Jeremy Silbert confirmed.
The shooting happened 10:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Monroe Street in West Baltimore.
Police said an officer stopped a gold BMW station wagon and called for backup. One of the officers said he saw a gun in the driver's hand and opened fire, striking the driver in the shoulder.
The driver is current at a hospital in critical condition, police said. None of the officers reported injuries.
"The officer on the driver's side asked the driver to exit the vehicle," Baltimore police spokesman T.J. Smith said. "As the driver was exiting the vehicle, the officer on the passenger's side noticed a handgun in the possession of that driver. The officer on the driver's side fired one round, striking the suspect in the upper body."
A loaded revolver was found at the scene, according to police. A spokesperson for the department said he believed the officer made the traffic stop because the driver had two different tags on his vehicle.
The officer who opened fire is on administrative leave.
No other information has been released.

How Many More Chances Will Kanye West Get?

RadioOnFire.com - For a long time now, many people have excused Kanye West’s bizarre behavior as “Ye just being Ye”. Whether it’s him snatching microphones during awards shows, fighting paparazzi, loud outbursts during radio interviews, or his weird obsession with Jay Z, Kanye West is a walking blog post headline.

Although he dabbles in sneaker and fashion design; his bread and butter has always been music. However, his recent series of on-stage outbursts, US tour cancellation and subsequent hospitalization for ‘dehydration’ reeks of drug use or mental instability to say the least.

We attributed him interjecting in the MTV Music Awards “on behalf of Beyonce” to grief from losing his mother. Some of his other behavior may be the result of a spoiled ‘mama’s boy’ having a temper tantrum because he has a wife that is more famous then him. However, how long will his fans deal with abbreviated concerts, cancellations and sub-par music? Kanye West may always have a core group of die hard fans but if this unpredictable, foolishness continues ‘The College Dropout’ may go from selling out stadiums to filling small lounges. Get yourself together Mr. West – and get back to making “’G.O.O.D. Music, (in my Drake voice).

Lil Wayne and Birdman Ordered to Pay $150K to Music Companies

RadioOnFire.com - Apart from their own contractual dispute, Lil Wayne and Birdman found themselves embroiled in more legal trouble when a judge ordered them to pay up for neglecting to satisfy a settlement it reached with two London-based labels three years ago.
4AD Limited and XL Recordings sued Cash Money and Young Money in 2013, for what they claimed was a failure to compliment them with royalties for samples they used. At the time the companies alleged that they licensed a pair of songs to Wayne and Bird, which would eventually be used in the production of records for Nicki Minaj and Drake, but were never paid from profits made off of record sales and public performances. A London court oversaw the case, which concluded with Cash Money and Young Money agreeing to fork over $312,000.
4AD Limited and XL Recordings sued once more earlier this year, this time claiming in a New York City courtroom that the New Orleans rapper/executive tandem refused to cooperate after the judgment and simply abandoned the deal. On November 15 the Judge presiding over the case granted the plaintiff's motion when neither Lil Wayne nor Birdman appeared in court. They have been ordered to pay 4AD Limited and XL Recordings $154,623.

Stop it, stop it. Hey radio, fuck you! Radio, fuck you! Y'all don't want to lose again. A lot of people here tonight felt like they lost. You know why? Because y'all been lied to. Google lied to you. Facebook lied to you. Radio lied to you. Radio, fuck you! I know it's a lot of real niggas working at radio, real people, real programming directors with wives and kids that love music, that can't play what they want to play because they've been paid to play that bullshit over and over and over. And when I say that bullshit, what I'm saying is we love Drake, Drake is great. He's a great artist. But Frank Ocean is great, too. But you know who the greatest of all of us? Who do y'all think? [Crowd shouts "Kanye" and other names] Nope. Kid motherfucking Cudi. Radio, fuck you! Oh yeah, I'm on my Trump shit tonight. Radio, fuck you. Yeah, I'm taking his lead. I'mma just say how I say, be 'Ye, and win. I'mma take his lead. Radio, fuck you! Radio, fuck you! Wait a second. Eh, is it, "Radio, fuck you? That's what you're saying?" Exactly.

Not fuck the people that work at radio because these is real people that gotta feed they kids and they're not being allowed to play that real shit because they think that in order to feed they kids they gotta play the same shit over and over and over. I was raised by KMS 1, I was raised by Tribe Called Quest, I was raised by DMX. The last real nigga alive? Naw, nigga! We real niggas alive, we alive tonight, bruh! We alive tonight, bruh! Virgil Abloh is alive tonight, bro. A$AP Nast is alive tonight, bro. [A$AP] Bari is alive tonight, bro. Ian Connor is alive tonight, bro. [A$AP] Rocky alive tonight, bro. Aye, y'all love my show. When I say these names, y'all better scream for me. I don't give a fuck if you know the names or not, go ahead, Google them. They will give you a little bit of factual information. They will give you that. Why did I name A$AP? Because that's the future. That's the niggas they got me and Cudi [...]. It's life.

We've got a hundred years out here, a hundred years on this planet, bro, and we can have a utopia. We can love each other. But the rules gotta be fair. Khaled and Drake and radio and Doc and [Real] 92.3 and everybody. Is it just me or did you hear that song so many times "you say you wanna play for free." Aye, aye. You know what it is, though? Because aye, I love Drake. I love Khaled. But they set that song up, bro. And let me tell you something: MTV, fuck you! Once again, as always. I'm on my Trump shit tonight. Let me tell you what it is, bruh. Aye, you know me. I went down seven years of my life of motherfuckers hating me for saying Beyoncé had the best video. Hey, baby, let's rock and roll tonight. Y'all might be experiencing a lot of pop shit, but the vibes is back. The prodigal son, Kid Cudi, has returned. The vibes is back. I know it's going to be a lot of conversations after tonight.

Khaled, I know you got hitters from Miami. Please do not send them at my head. I just want to have a conversation about how we playing radio's game. Khaled, you a real nigga. Khaled, you a real nigga. You got the keys. But as we learn all the politics that niggas was doing for years. Obama couldn't make America great because he couldn't be him to be who he was. Black men have been slaves. Obama wasn't allowed to do this [screams] and still win. He had to be perfect. But being perfect don't always change shit, bro. Being perfect don't always change shit, bro.

So, when I talk about MTV, let me explain something. I was hurt. Beyoncé, I was hurt because I wanted to present a video called "Fade" and I don't expect MTV to help me. Mr. West, I don't respect you. I will let you know that Beyoncé is winning the video tonight for "Formation" over "Hotline Bling" and "Famous." They told me beforehand so I wouldn't run on stage. Hey, bruh, y'all ain't gotta fuck with me, but you know I got the vision and you know I'mma gonna keep it real with you. Beyoncé, I was hurt. I went down seven years on behalf of your—eh, nigga! Don't [...] no shit while I'm talking. I am putting my career, my life, my public well-standing at risk when I talk to y'all like this. This is a moment in the [...], bro. The vibes is back. The vibes is back. Motherfuckers might feel a way about this tonight. Beyoncé, I was hurt because I heard that you said you wouldn't perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over "Hotline Bling." In my opinion—now, don't go trying to diss Beyoncé. She is great. Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people. We are all equal.

But sometimes, we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are just to win. Fuck winning. Fuck looking cool. Fuck looking cool. Fuck being cool. Fuck all that, bruh! I've been sitting here to give y'all my truth even at the risk of my own life. Even at the risk of my own success, my own career. I've been sitting here to give y'all the truth. Jay Z, call me, bruh. You still ain't calling me. Jay Z, call me. Aye, bruh, I know you got killers. Please don't send them at my head. Just call me. Talk to me like a man. I'm not trying to be the man. I just am a man, the same as anybody here. I ain't above, below none of y'all. We all equal. We all equal. This is the vibes, bro. This is the future. This is the way of thinking to make America great again. Ha! You didn't like that! Guess what? Y'all need the vibes. I was hurt. Feelings matter, bro. The way motherfuckers put money up so high, popularity, radio spins. Feelings matter, bro. Feelings matter, bro.

It's a new world, Hillary Clinton, it's a new world. Feelings matter. Because guess what? Everybody in middle America felt a way and they showed you how they felt. Feelings matter, bro. It's a new world. It's a new world, Barack. It's a new world, Jay Z. Hey, don't send killers at my head, bro. This ain't the Malcolm X movie. We growing from that moment. Let 'Ye be 'Ye. And wait a second. Do y'all agree with that? Let 'Ye be 'Ye. Wait a second. I ain't hear enough screams on that. Let 'Ye be 'Ye.

People I'm not saying this out of my own well-being because it wouldn't be smart out of my own well-being to say things like this. Radio, I done talked to you a bunch of motherfucking times. Y'all motherfuckers is behind the times. Because guess what, the Saint Pablo tour is the most relevant shit happening. The Saint Pablo tour is more relevant than radio and if y'all keep following old models, your ass is going to be Hillary Clinton. You might not like it, but they gotta hear it. I ain't here to massage you with a fake truth, telling you that Hillary gon' win over and over and over and then you wake up [and] you still can't believe it! You know why? Because you was lied to by Google. You was lied to by Mark Zuckerberg.

Mark Zuckerberg, you wanna call me now? Do I got the vision, Mark Zuckerberg? Was you wrong? When I said I was $53 million in debt and you didn't call me, was you wrong? You ate dinner, you asked my friend Anthony Schiller to have dinner with me. I told you about Donda. You said you would help and you didn't. Then you went to look for aliens. Me and Kid Cudi are aliens right here, bro. The vibes is back. [Talking to DJ] Take it all the way back to the beginning. Shia LaBeouf, Kid Cudi feels a way. Give him a call.

Q-Tip, I love you, bro. Don't tell me how to be me, though. I love you. The Tribe album is dope. I love you. Don't tell me how to be me, though. I've been me. I am me. There's a Richard Pryor interview that you can watch about people coming into power and not changing everything and just becoming a part of the power. That's happened with musicians because they're scared. I'm not scared. I'm here to change things. I am here to change things. And things won't change until people admit their own falsehoods. I got the visions, bro. That's what I've been blessed with. My vision. I'm not always going to say things the perfect way, the right way. But I'm going to say how I feel. Right now, press get ready to write your passive-aggressive, LeBron James, racist comments. Season 4, racist comments. Get ready to have a field day, press. Get ready, get ready. Because the show's over. [Drops mic]

Netflix Announces 3 New Dave Chappelle Comedy Specials

RadioOnFire.com - Dave Chappelle will release 3 new comedy specials in partnership with Netflix.
Bloomberg’s Lucas Shaw confirmed that Chappelle had sold 3 specials to the streaming service earlier this week. “Dave Chappelle sold Netflix 3 comedy specials, one from his most recent tour and two from his 'personal comedy vault,'” he tweeted. The deal includes an original special that will be produced by Chappelle and director Stan Lathan. The other two will come out of Chappelle’s vault of material and will be released together sometime next year, according to Variety. The original special doesn’t have a release date at this time. Chappelle made his return to TV as the host of “Saturday Night Live” earlier this month. He’s been spending recent years doing standup and touring the country. He hasn’t had a significant presence on television since “Chappelle's Show” was canceled in 2006.
Netflix also just signed a $40 million deal with Chris Rock and is excited to partner with another legendary comedian. “Dave Chappelle is a legendary voice in comedy—searing, vital, and now more than ever, essential,” said Lisa Nishimura, Netflix’s VP of original documentary and comedy. “Dave’s three new specials promise to be some of the most anticipated events in comedy.”

A Tribe Called Quest Gets Their 1st No.1 Album in 20 Years

RadioOnFire.com - A Tribe Called Quest’s latest album, “We Got it from Here…Thank You 4 Your service,” debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
It is the group’s first album since 1998’s, “The Love Movement,” and their first No.1 since their 1996 platinum project, “Beats, Rhymes and Life.” The new album will be the group’s last and pays homage to deceased member Phife Dawg who passed in March. A Tribe Called Quest took a long hiatus back in 1998. Together, the group did some performances together including opening for Kanye West on his “Yeezus” tour in 2013/2014.
They suffered from inner turmoil and weren’t able to come together for an official follow-up to “The Love Movement.” Their infighting is highlighted in the 2011 documentary “Beats Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest” which was directed by actor Michael Rapaport. Despite the problems, it seems that Tribe was able to record a lot of songs over the years which were used for their latest album. The remaining members promoted the project on a recent Saturday Night Live episode which was hosted by Dave Chappelle. They also graced the cover of Complex’s Oct./Nov 2016 issue. The album features guest appearances from Talib Kweli, Kendrick Lamar, Busta Rhymes, Consequence and Elton John.

Ray Lewis Apologizes For Flacco Critcism

RadioOnFire.com - Ravens legend Ray Lewis has taken a lot of flak in the past of few days since criticizing Joe Flacco's passion. Now he's apologizing.
"I'm a Raven for life, but Joe Flacco, what I was talking about, my brother, it wasn't even about you, it wasn't even personal," Lewis said in a video posted on social media Monday morning. "It was just me being frustrated [over] watching something that I had control over for so many years, which was men and inspiring them to go on and do things and guess what? Like everybody else, I lashed out at the quarterback because, quote-unquote, that's the person who's supposed to carry us or do whatever."
Last week, in picking the Ravens over the Cowboys on Fox Sports 1's "Speak For Yourself," the retired linebacker discussed Flacco's "inconsistency."
"Gifted? Absolutely. Passionate about what he does? I've never seen that," Lewis said.
Current Ravens and former teammates reacted with some level of puzzlement at Lewis' comments. Speaking to a radio show, Bart Scott said Ray Lewis got his second Super Bowl ring in large part because of Flacco, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Lewis acknowledged that criticism, but said "we carried each other."
"Listen, from a man, you'll never hear it again," Lewis said. "Sorry for ever even calling out your name or putting your name in the context of making you try to be anything that I am or anything that you're not."

Kanye West Booed In San Jose: Tells Crowd He Would "Have Voted For Trump" & Advised "Black People To Stop Focusing On Racism"

RadioOnFire.com - For someone who didn't bother to vote in the 2016 presidential election, Kanye West, had a lot to say about politics during his concert in San Jose on Thursday, November 17.
The rapper stopped the show to ramble about his love for Donald Trump, racism in America and other topics.
"I told y'all I didn't vote, right? But I didn't tell you, If I would have voted, I would have voted for Trump," Kanye said. "Everybody told me not to say that I loved the [presidential] debates. I loved his approach. I think that Hillary Clinton should still be a consultant. I think that Bill Clinton should still be a consultant. I think Obama should still be a consultant."

Some audience members grew antsy and began to boo. One woman screamed "shut up!." Another person threw something onstage at the rapper, but that didn't stop his rant.

"Specifically to black people, stop focusing on racism," he continued. "This world is racist, OK. Let's stop being distracted, to focus on that as much. It's just a f*cking fact. We are in a racist country ... period. Do not allow people to make us talk about that so f*cking long."
West also confirmed that he is serious about running for president in 2020.

Floyd Mayweather Won't Fight Pacquiao Again or Anyone Else: "I'm Well Off"

RadioOnFire.com - Floyd Mayweather retired from boxing with a 49-0 record.  It was widely assumed by many people that he would come back for a major 50th fight and win.  In fact, prospective opponents have already begun to line up for their shot at trying to take the champ down, and the big payday that comes with just getting in the ring.  The only issue is, Mayweather says he's content in retirement.
UFC champion Conor McGregor has been angling for a fight against Mayweather and has once again begun to hype up fans about the possibility of the mega fight.  McGregor is even willing to get in the boxing ring instead of the Octagon to make the fight happen, but he wants a huge payout from the match.
“Floyd’s not ready for this,” McGregor said to a crowd at 1OAK nightclub in New York City.  “Much respect to Floyd. He’s a solid businessman on what he’s been able to do, he’s a f**king animal at what he’s been able to do. But as far as real fighting, as far as true pure unarmed combat, Floyd don’t want none of this.”
“He wants a boxing match, he doesn’t want a fight.  I want a $100 million cash to fight him under boxing rules, he’s afraid of a real fight.”
McGregor isn't the only one trying to get the champ back in the ring, Manny Pacquiao is also putting on a full-court press trying to get a rematch from "Money Mayweather.  After quickly coming out of retirement to beat Jessie Vargas, Pacquiao set his sights on a Mayweather rematch.  In fact, Mayweather's appearance at Pacquiao's fight sparked rumors even further about a possible part II.  Pacquiao promised to make the rematch a great fight to make up for the lackluster first bout between him and Mayweather.
“If we fight again I will do everything in my power to win back the trust of the fans,” Pacquiao told the Daily Mail after beating Jessie Vargas. “They would not be disappointed again if it happens.”
“I promise to make sure they love it. That is what we owe them. We have not had any discussions about a second fight but I know I will be boxing again. And if the fans want it, why not?
Pacquiao not only wants to redeem himself from the poor showing in the first match, he also wants the pig purse that comes from a Mayweather bout.  Pacman has been known for causing himself serious financial issues from splurging on his massive entourage of family and friends, and bad investments.  Mayweather noted that he is well off, and does not need to keep fighting like others; he's content in retirement.
"A lot of fighters in the sport of boxing may want to retire, but they have to fight because they have to," said Mayweather to USA Today. "I don't have to fight.
"I just made $300 million for fighting Pacquiao. I'm OK. Like I said before, I'm happy with my position. Once again, the money don't make me; I make money. I'm well off. I make smart moves, and like I said before, I'm happy with where my career has went."
It was Mayweather himself who opened the door to the possibility of another fight for a nine-figure payday earlier this year, but he noted he feels different ways on different days.
"Different days, I say different things. Different days, I feel different ways," Mayweather said in response to his comments that he's open to a ring return. "I feel different each day. Can Floyd Mayweather contradict himself? Absolutely. So that's why I know when I contradict myself, it doesn't mean I'm crazy.
"When someone puts up something I said in the past like, 'Oh you said this, this day, well you said this, that day,' I can contradict myself. I'm only human. I'm not perfect. God only made one thing perfect: my boxing record."

LeBron James Reportedly Donating $2.5 Million for Muhammad Ali Exhibit

RadioOnFire.com - LeBron James is adding to his philanthropic portfolio as his charitable foundation, and business partner Maverick Carter will donate $2.5 million for a new exhibit, "Muhammad Ali: A Force for Change " about the legendary boxer at the recently opened Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington.
"Muhammad Ali is such a cornerstone of me as an athlete because of what he represented not only in the ring as a champion but more outside the ring—what he stood for, what he spoke for, his demeanor," James told USA Today Sports.  "I think of him every day. Without his passion and goals and morals, I don’t know if I’d be sitting here today talking to you about it."
The Cleveland Cavaliers superstar has been a longtime admirer of Ali for his boxing skills, and his penchant for speaking out against racial injustice, which James is doing as well.  Ali passed away June 3 at the age of 74 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.  James was playing in the NBA Finals at the time and spoke emotionally about how Ali's life had affected his own.
“So many thoughts come to my mind when I think about the man who passed away yesterday,” James said at the time. “What he represented, as a kid, I gravitated towards him because he was a champion, but I only knew as a kid what he did inside the ring. As I got older and started to be more knowledgeable about sport in general and about the guys who paved the way for guys like myself, I understood that he is the greatest of all time, and he was the greatest of all-time because of what he did outside of the ring. Obviously, we knew how great of a boxer he was, but I think that was only 20 percent of what made him as great as he was.”
James's donation will go towards adding historical context and memorabilia to the Ali exhibit.  It will span two portions of the museum and focus on both the champion boxer's career in the ring and his social activism out of it, according to USA Today's Jeff Zillgit.
“His support will help us to continue the story of Muhammad Ali and will encourage athletes to realize how important athletics is in terms of social justice,” museum founding director Lonnie Bunch told Zillgitt. “It’s also really important that actions like this by Mr. James encourage younger athletes and people with means to recognize the philanthropy and paying homage to those who went before, how crucially important that is.”
James will join the list of founding donors, which includes two NBA Hall of Famers. Michael Jordan donated $5 million. Magic Johnson and his wife Cookie gave at least $1 million.
James has garnered an extensive charitable portfolio through his LeBron James Family Foundation.  He launched Wheels for Education, which works with third-graders in Akron to keep them on target to get high school diplomas.  He has given away bikes, laptops, backpacks with school supplies and more to the children.  James also pledged four-year scholarships to 1,100 students in his program to the University of Akron.  Those students are currently in the eighth grade and must meet academic and community service requirements to qualify.  The foundation also announced the I Promise Institute at the University of Akron, aimed at making the transition to college life easier for students and their parents.  James is currently working on a legacy of his own.

50 Cent Says He's Bringing Donald Trump Out at the Club

RadioOnFire.com - The two men Roy Jones Jr. deemed the "smartest people in America" came face to face on Wednesday, November 16, and a photo of the encounter was tweeted out only hours after the Jones interview reached the public. The Donald Trump and Floyd Mayweather Jr. meet-up also just so happened to have occurred soon after 50 Cent vowed to bring the President-elect out in a club event he and Floyd are hosting in Long Island City.
There is no word as to whether Trump made it out to ACES New York for Woman Crush Wednesdays, but Floyd would join up with he and DJ Clue after making a stop through the Trump Tower. The moment Mayweather met up with the fellow mogul was captured in a photo in which he stands in between the elder Trump and his junior. Trump Jr. would go on to share the photo on social media.
Trump has been back in his hometown getting his house in order, as he and his transition team continues filling his cabinet in the lead up to inauguration 2017. Tommy Hilfiger, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, and others made their way over to the tower to greet the Republican leader as well. Meanwhile, Floyd's visit and eventual leisure alongside 50 capped off a busy day, in which he held a press conference at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, to announce a January 14 Showtime card The Money Team will be promoting.

Report Reveals Colin Kaepernick Has Never Voted in Any Election

RadioOnFire.com - Last week, Colin Kaepernick revealed that he did not vote in the 2016 presidential election. Now, a report has surfaced saying that the San Francisco 49er was never even registered to vote. The report noted that Kaepernick turned 18 in 2005, but did not manage to register according to records from the California Secretary of State. Kaepernick also didn't register while he was attending school at the University of Nevada, which means he did not participate in the 2008 and 2012 elections that placed Barack Obama in office.

Kaepernick gave a quote to reporters this past Sunday about his voter status, saying "I said from the beginning, I was against oppression, I was against the system of oppression. I’m not going to show support for that system. And to me, the oppressor isn’t going to allow you to vote your way out of your oppression.”

Prince's Label Sues Jay Z for Streaming His Catalog

RadioOnFire.com - Prince’s record label is suing Jay Z for streaming all of the late singer's music without permission.
The label, NPG Records claims Jay Z’s Roc Nation breached an agreement between the two that only allowed Tidal to stream Prince's last album before his death titled “Hit N Run: Phase 1.” NPG claims Tidal streamed the legendary singer’s entire catalog without permission and started doing so on June 7, 2016. The suit claims copyright infringement on the part of Roc Nation and attempts to block the label from continuing to share the vast majority of Prince’s catalog with the exception of that one album. The streaming service shared many of Prince’s biggest hits including “Little Red Corvette,” “Purple Rain,” and “1999,” according to TMZ.
Jay Z reportedly bid to purchase all of Prince’s unreleased music earlier this year and offered his estate $40 million for the music. The deal was brokered during a meeting between the rapper and Prince’s sister, Tyka. It is unclear what the status of that deal is at this point. However, the unreleased music deal concerns the singer’s estate and not his record label so they might not affect each other at all. Jay Z is also trying to get the overall deal for streaming rights on the music.
