Woman Thought She Won $43M Jackpot, Then Told Slot Machine Malfunctioned

RadioOnFire.com - A New York woman who thought she won over $40 million on a slot machine jackpot was devastated when informed by casino officials that the winnings were void because the machine malfunctioned.

Katrina Bookman told WABC that she was at the Resorts World Casino in August when the machine informed her that she had won nearly $43 million. She even took a selfie that included the winning message.

While the mood was celebratory on the casino floor, officials told her to come back the next day. That’s when casino officials delivered the bad news — the machine had malfunctioned and Bookman had won nothing.

Officials offered Bookman a free steak dinner.

Bookman, who has faced adversity in her life, including being raised in foster care, being homeless as a teen and raising four children as a single mother, is not satisfied with the casino’s response.

She has hired an attorney and plans to sue the casino. Bookman and her attorney argue that she should at least receive the maximum payout that the machine pays, which is $6,500.

The New York State Gaming Commission said they cannot do that, referring to a warning appears on all slot machines: “Malfunctions void all pays and plays."

Lil Yachty and Soulja Boy Beefing Over India Love

RadioOnFire.com - Tensions appeared to surface between Lil Yachty and Soulja Boy on Friday night [October 28], when the Sailing Team captain hit up the SODMG CEO to ask what the deal was with him posting up pictures with India Love on his Instagram page. In the message, Yachty, who has publicly acknowledged Soulja Boy as an influence on his career, expressed disappointment over his counterpart giving off the impression that she is his girl and swiftly asked that he take the flicks down. But Soulja Boy wasn't trying to hear it.
"Yo g. U whylin on the gram g. India my shorty. I f**k wit u bro u no dat but u gotta take dat down," Yachty wrote, in a DM that Soulja Boy would post up on his IG. The Ignorant S**t rapper declined Yachty's request, responding, "I can't tell. U want beef N***a?"  In the caption of a photo of them nestled cheek to cheek, Soulja Boy expounded on where he and India stand, and questioned what claim Yachty had to her the same breath.  "How this your girl when I been rocking with her before you. How she your girl and we been rocking for YEARS," he wrote. "If she yours post a pic wit her, oh I forgot u never even met her before."
Soulja Boy posted about a half dozen images of he and India seemingly coupled up. In one bathroom selfie, she sits on a counter with her legs straddling his waist, and arms wrapped around him as she kisses his neck.  By Saturday morning he had posted several more. Things seemed to be cool between Soulja Boy and Yachty leading up to the ordeal, with Yachty tweeting a Vine of his elder on Thursday.

Lupe Fiasco Wonders Why Kid Cudi Wants to Fight Drake But Not Him

RadioOnFire.com - Previously, Kid Cudi broke his silence in reference to Drake's lines about him on the track "Two Birds One Stone." Via Twitter, Cudi said directly to Drake "say it to face, p*ssy. You think it's a game. I wanna see you say it to my face. I'll be out soon. Promise." Now, Lupe Fiasco (who has an issue with Kid Cudi) has voiced his opinion on the rift between Cudi and Drake. Via Twitter, Lupe had some choice words for Cudi while responding to fan tweets. When asked why Cudi wants to fight Drake and not you, Lupe said "Cuz security gonna break it up & it's not gonna happen. Security wasn't gonna stop ours hahaha." From there, Lupe called Cudi a disrespectful clown and also said "Man f*ck that n*gga...what part of "rehab" is calling people pussies and asking for fades?! Rehab is checking your own problems not this sh*t."

One fan asked Lupe if he ever went to rehab, to which he responded: "No but when sh*t got real and suicidal for me, I accepted the compassionate solace and therapy of my true friends & I cherish them to this day." Is this a case of kicking another person while they are down? Comment below.

Dr. Dre's Lawyer Threatens Suge Knight's Lawyer Over Beats Suit

RadioOnFire.com - Dr. Dre's lawyers threatened Suge Knight’s council over the lawsuit filed by the former Death Row head who claims Dre put a hit out on him, and that he’s entitled to some of the Dr.’s Beats money.
Dre’s lawyer issued a statement tearing up the allegations. “Given that Dre has had zero interaction with Suge since leaving Death Row Records in 1996, we hope that Suge’s lawyer has lots of malicious prosecution insurance.” Team Dre plans on putting the case to rest.
The lawsuit was filed earlier this month. Suge alleged that Dre hired a hitman on two separate occasions to murder Knight. One of them being Cle “Bone” Sloan, the man who was present when he viciously ran over Terry Carter last year. The first hit allegedly came from a man who shot Suge 7 times in 1 OAK. He claims a man named T-Money who was questioned by police after the shooting said Dre paid him to kill Suge. Aside from the hits, the suit says Suge had a lifetime management contract with Dre that entitled him to 25 percent of all of his earnings. This means he would have gotten at least $300 million from Dre’s Beats headphones deal.

Twitter Planning to Shut Down Vine

RadioOnFire.com - Today Twitter announced that it is preparing to shut down Vine.  The video service suffered an agonizing decline after initially shooting up quickly in popularity following its 2013 debut.
Vine emerged as a new platform for ordinary people to become stars, all off creative six-second videos.  People like Lil Terio, the "LeBron James kid," Aggy, Hannah Stocking, and more became household names because of their funny videos.  Vine is also credited with being the source for pop culture terms such as "on fleek" and "Netflix and chill."  The video service was also a popular platform for sports clips of highlight plays like an NBA player being dunked on, or an NFL player doing a touchdown dance.
In a Medium post, the company did not provide information about what specifically led to the shutdown, but a former Twitter executive pointed to the declining usage sparking a myriad of problems.  "It’s been a rough year for Vine,” the exec said. “Obviously usage hasn’t been spectacular, and so much of the team has jumped ship.”  Many users have flocked to Snapchat, Instagram videos, and Twitter videos.  Vine co-founder Rus Yusupov appeared to blame Twitter's handling of Vine leading to its demise, today tweeting, "Don’t sell your company!"
According to reports, Twitter considered selling the app, but apparently, no buyer materialized.  Today, Twitter announced that it was laying off around 350 people.  Asked if Vine’s entire operation of 50 or so people is included in that number, a Twitter representative declined to specify.  As for videos made on Vine, they will still be accessible for now, as the announcement says:
"You’ll be able to access and download your Vines. We’ll be keeping the website online because we think it’s important to still be able to watch all the incredible Vines that have been made. You will be notified before we make any changes to the app or website."

Jay Z Reportedly Bids $40 Million to Buy Prince's Unreleased Music

RadioOnFire.com - Jay Z reportedly made a $40 million bid to snatch up all of Prince’s unreleased music.
TMZ reports that the Roc Nation head met with the late singer’s sister Tyka and her husband Maurice Phillips several weeks ago to discuss possibly purchasing the material. Sources close to Prince said Jay Z offered $40 million for the music, but no deal has been struck yet. Prince’s sister cannot sign off on the music until she gets permission from his other siblings and the trust managing his estate. Jay is also still attempting to get the overall deal for streaming rights for his TIDAL platform. He’s facing fierce competition for the rights and will most likely have to shell out a lot of money for them, according to TMZ.
Aside from his unreleased music, Prince's vast catalogue will be turned into a 40-track greatest hits collection titled Prince 4Ever which will be released next year. Warner Brothers Records is at the helm of the project and announced it a few days back. Prince 4Ever will also feature a 12-page book of photographs that will include flicks from the eras when he had his biggest hits. A follow-up to the greatest hits will also be released in 2017.

Arian Foster Announces Mid-Season Retirement From the NFL

RadioOnFire.com - All-Time Houston Texans rushing leader Arian Foster retired from the NFL on Monday, October 24.
The four-time Pro Bowler announced his exit in an open letter published by Lebron James' UNINTERRUPTED platform. "Faceless gladiators have been shuffled in and out of this arena for decades and I'm proud to have taken part in that legacy. My father always said, 'You'll know when it's time to walk away.' It has never been more clear than right now. I'm walking away with peace," he wrote.
Foster came into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2009. After being cut, then re-signed to the team, he was given a spot on special teams and scored his first touchdown against the Miami Dolphins in December of that year. Seven seasons later he steps away as a member of the Miami Dolphins organization, after an injury plagued career that saw him become arguably the best running back in the league at one point in his career. During his first full season [2010], Foster led the entire league with 1,616 rushing yards. It was one of six major categories he came out on top in, having outdone all other running backs in yards average, yards per game, touchdowns and receptions as well. In the following year he would dominate all running backs in the receiving categories, and he'd finish his 2012 campaign with his second touchdown title. Foster would complete his career in Houston as their most prolific running back.
With the 2016 season would come a fresh start. Foster spent much of the 2015 season hindered by injuries, and his time as a starter was short-lived in Miami after he injured his groin in September. Jay Ajayi, who had shown promise as Lamar Miller's backup in 2015, went through fits when he realized that the Miami coaching staff was committed to giving Foster the ball coming into the season, and was benched for his attitude early on. But since Foster's injury, he has carried the team, becoming only the fourth NFL running back to ever gain 200 rushing yards in back to back games with Sunday's historic performance [28 carries, 214 yards, 1 TD].
Although the majority of football fans would vie that Foster's still got some game left in him, he leaves the ball to the Dolphins' young running back corp in full confidence that they will satisfy the teams needs at back. And he leaves having accomplished more than he had ever set out to, writing, "Every athlete would love to go out as a Super Bowl MVP, riding off into the sunset with the crowd cheering their name. Unfortunately, life has other plans and they're usually opposite the imagination. But that imagination got me this far and I could not be prouder of the things my teammates and I accomplished in this game."

Suge Knight Says $300M From Dr. Dre's Billion Dollar Deal is Owed to Him

RadioOnFire.com - Suge Knight believes Dr. Dre tried to have him assassinated on more than one occasion. This according to a lawsuit filed by the former Death Row Records honcho, through which he seeks to be compensated a share of Dre's earnings which he claims he was owed but never paid. In the suit, Suge suggests that there is anecdotal evidence that proves Dre paid hitmen to off him, to rid himself of his financial obligation to his one-time label boss.
Knight's lawsuit centers around Dre's 2014 Beats by Dre deal with Apple, which he says he was never notified about. He cites Dre being bound to a lifetime management deal that he allegedly signed him to back in the 1990's. The fallen mogul is pushing for a $300 million settlement, which would satisfy the 30% cut [of the billion dollar deal] he claims to be owed from any of Dre's entertainment earnings.
The suit cites a man by the name of T-Money as having admitted he was paid to put a hit on Suge, upon questioning of a shooting that landed him in the hospital with seven bullet wounds in the abdomen. Despite the supposed admission and footage from 37 cameras at the 1 OAK nightclub, no one was ever arrested for the 2014 VMA weekend shooting. Knight's assumption is that the incident was plotted by Dre, as he claims his 2015 confrontation with Terry Carter and Cle "Bone" Sloan by the set of "Straight Outta Compton," was. Suge remains behind bars for running over and killing Carter, and seriously injuring Sloan in what he calls a case of self-defense. In the suit, he claims that Sloan was outright paid [$300,000] to initiate the alleged ambush-turned-hit and run.

Russell Simmons Has Heard Trump Make Racist and Anti-Semitic Comments

RadioOnFire.com - Since Donald Trump launched his presidential campaign, one of the questions that has dogged him is whether he is racist. Russell Simmons has known Donald Trump for three decades. The hip-hop pioneer and entrepreneur said Trump has been an “amazing” and “very kind” friend, endorsing his books, attending his shows and hosting him and his family at Trump’s Florida estate.

But, according to Simmons, Trump also said things that “seemed a little racist,” “anti-Semitic,” and “Islamophobic.”

Jahiem Asks Charlamagne for Interview, Charlamagne: He Wanted It Whole Time

RadioOnFire.com - The final hours of Friday, October 21, ran down with the social media quarrel between Jaheim and Charlamagne Tha God at a standstill after the R&B crooner requested a sit-down, and his radio host counterpart responded with a maybe.
"@cthagod I'll be in the city next week. I'm requesting for us to have a personal interview. I'm not with all the social media Twitter fingers," Jaheim tweeted just before 10 p.m. Charlamagne replied immediately, saying he's game if the demand is there. "Lol. Y'all know this what he wanted the whole time? What y'all think? @breakfastclubam is a show that belongs to the listeners, y'all want to see this? Let me know in the comments. Will go through it over the weekend and figure it out," he wrote.
Jaheim had spent much of the day defending his swag, after a photo he posted of his new hairstyle on Thursday became inundated with the comments of heckling trolls. By midday, it was apparent that it had come to his attention that Charlamagne dedicated his Donkey of the Day honors to Jaheim, prompting him to unload a bevy of shots at the Power 105.1 host, some of which threatened violence on sight.

Michel'le Gets Meeting with Oprah After "Surviving Compton" Biopic Airs

RadioOnFire.com - It looks like legendary media giant Oprah Winfrey wants to hear a more in-depth account of singer Michel’le’s life with Dr. Dre and Suge Knight from the actual source.
Michel’le recently hinted at Oprah contacting her about the story which is documented in her new biopic “Surviving Compton” which aired on Lifetime over the weekend. “When OPRAH calls, you walk straight in her direction! Hope you all had a good start to your week, as well,” wrote Michel’le on her Instagram account. She also posted a picture of what looks like the waiting room at one of Oprah’s offices.
Michel’le’s Lifetime biopic tells a different side of the “Straight Outta Compton” story which grossed over $200 million in theaters last year. The film shows Michel’le being battered and abused by legendary hip-hop producer Dr. Dre and his former partner at Death Row Records, Suge Knight. Dre has refuted the film’s narrative and even threatened to sue Sony before it aired. It seems to have significantly harmed his reputation as fans rushed to social media to blast him for beating the singer early on in their careers after seeing the film.
Daz Dillinger, a former Death Row artist and producer, also claimed “Surviving Compton” took some liberties when portraying real-life figures and legends like 2Pac and Suge Knight. Pac is seen in the film being bossed around by yet another ruthless portrayal of the former Death Row head. Dillinger claims Pac would never have taken that from Suge. Michel'le appeared on Wendy Williams to discuss the film and claims she didn’t want to make it. However, being excluded from the blockbuster “Straight Outta Compton” made the “opportunity visible,” according to the singer.

Beyonce Fans Cut Themselves After She Performs with a Bloody Ear

RadioOnFire.com - Reports of Beyhive fans cutting themselves as a gesture of solidarity with Beyonce have begun to surface. The self-mutilating trend follows Beyonce's bloody performance at the Tidal x Benefit concert on Saturday [October 15]. While performing "Haunted," Bey sustained a tear to her earlobe, when her earring got snagged by her braid.
"Only a real fan would defend their queen like this," one die-hard fan wrote, beneath a photo of her sliced up wrist. Another proud follower of the Beyhive posted a photo of blood dripping from a cut, beside a caption that read, "If the queen bleeds the hive must unify and leak our blood to restore her spirits."

The fad is believed to have taken off after the hashtags #CutForBeyonce and #BleedforBeyonce began trending on social media over the weekend.

Nicki Minaj Calls Out Kanye: He Lived Out His "White Girl" Line on Gold Digger

RadioOnFire.com - Nicki Minaj is tired of racial double standards and unafraid to let her voice be heard.  The Pinkprint rapper covers the November issue of Marie Claire magazine and did not hold back on her thoughts about the way black women are treated and viewed in Hollywood, in both the media and rap.  Not only did she voice her opinion, she called out hip-hop heavyweight Kanye West, whom she collaborated with in the past.
"I'm so tired of black women feeling that when our men get rich, they're going to leave them for a woman of a different race," Nicki shared with the magazine. "It wasn't funny when Kanye said [in his 2005 hit 'Gold Digger'], 'When he get on, he'll leave your a-- for a white girl' -- and Kanye happens to be with a white girl now. It wasn't funny when he said it; it was the f------ truth."
She also called out Sharon Osbourne who supported Kanye's wife, Kim Kardashian, when she took a naked selfie but called Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" artwork a "cheap porno cover of a DVD."
Minaj not only talked about the issues of just black women, but she also spoke of all women struggling with having the wrong type of goals.
"Nowadays, I feel like [young women] see marrying into money -- I think that's a big thing now. I don't want that to be a woman's goal in life," Nicki explained, before offering some sage advice for what women should be striving towards. "I want your goal in life to be to become an entrepreneur, a rich woman, a career-driven woman. You have to be able to know that you need no man on this planet at all, period, and he should feel that, because when a man feels that you need him, he acts differently."

Troy Ave "Barely Getting By," Judge Won't Allow Him to Do Shows

RadioOnFire.com - Troy Ave, whose real name is Roland Collins, faces attempted murder charges from a deadly May 25 shooting at Irving Plaza.  His close friend and bodyguard Ronald McPhatter, 33, was killed in the chaotic shootout that night, while Troy and two other people were wounded.  Police reportedly believe Troy shot McPhatter and released footage of him opening fire in the concert hall.
Troy was released on bail but will have to wait until at least next month to see if his bail conditions will be loosened.  Troy wanted to ask Judge Ronald Zweibel to lift the order preventing him from leaving New York City and banning him from performing in nightclubs or other venues, according to his lawyer John Stella.  Unfortunately for Troy, the request was put off because the judge still has to go over some of the evidence presented to the grand jury before he can decide on motions filed by the rapper's lawyer.
The bail restrictions have reportedly put a strain on Troy's finances as he's missed dozens of tour dates and lost out on tens of thousands of dollars.  He typically makes between $6,000 and $10,000 for a performance.  He had to cancel at least 50 tour dates since he was arrested, some of those he had already been paid an advance for.  So far no one has sued Troy Ave for breach of contract, according to Stella and court records, but he still owes thousands to those that paid him in advance.
“I think they’re waiting to see what happens in the short term to see if he regains the ability to perform,” Stella said. Troy paid his $500,000 bail by using his mother's Crown Heights home as collateral, according to Stella.  He has since been unable to schedule any new tour dates.
“He’s barely able to get by,” Stella said. “Touring is what drives everything else, and it’s hard to release music if he can’t promote it with live performances.”
Troy has been free on bail since July 11, but the conditions of the bail require him to obey an 11 p.m. curfew, stay out of bars, nightclubs, and other venues, and remain within the five boroughs.  To make up for lost income from his inability to perform, Troy Ave has been putting out music videos at a furious pace, with two videos released on World Star Hip Hop in the past week alone.
The decision on motions, which are standard procedure in a criminal case and include requests by Stella for the judge to either dismiss the case or reduce the charges based on his assessment of the evidence, has been rescheduled to Nov. 4.

Floyd Mayweather Training Adrien Broner After Suicide Scare

RadioOnFire.com - Adrian Broner seems to have received more than an old friend back in his life, with Floyd Mayweather taking to Instagram on Saturday morning [October 15] to share a video of himself overseeing his younger pugilist in a sparring session. On Thursday night Floyd and AB linked up for the first time in awhile, after which a recording of them joy riding through the street's of Las Vegas got out. The video was a relief to fans still concerned about Broner's mental state, following a series of Instagram posts he put up to suggest he was contemplating suicide earlier in the week.
"We got some easy work today," Floyd is shown singing in the camera, as he wraps AB's hands in preparation. The clip then cuts to Broner battering his sparring partner, as Floyd instructs him on punch selection. It is a sight that the boxing world has not seen since their falling out some years back. Adrien Broner was once considered by some to be the successor to Mayweather's throne. As he rose up the ranks, displaying the speed, snap and showmanship many had gotten accustomed to seeing from Floyd, he drew the boxing king's eye, and was taken under his wing along with a host of other talented young fighter's in The Money Team's stable. Broner would go on to win titles in four weight divisions, but at some point along the way a falling out which Mayweather long attributed to a lack of focus on AB's part, estranged the fighters. Broner would go on to lose fights to Marcos Maidana and Shawn Porter, thereby losing some of his appeals along the way, but he recently rebounded with a win over Floyd's fighter, Ashley Theophane. After the fight, Broner called Mayweather with hopes of grappling with his former mentor for what would be Floyd's 50th fight.
According to reports, Floyd has taken Broner into his Vegas residence and plans to keep him in his company for the foreseeable future. Prior to Broner's breakdown, he was in talks to fight WBA Super Lightweight champion, Ricky Burns.

Oschino on State Property: Beanie Sigel Can't Be My Leader

RadioOnFire.com - Former State Property member Oschino said Beanie Sigel could never be his leader.
The Philly rapper appeared alongside fellow State Property alumni Peedi Peedi on The Breakfast Club this morning where he admitted to never getting along with Sigel. Oschino said he didn’t want to do a State Property reunion because Beanie Sigel is the leader of the group. “They had Beans as a leader, and he can’t be my leader,” he said. He revealed to “never like” Beanie Sigel as the head of the group and Peedi told the show that the two never got along. They also explained that State Property was formed by Roc-A-Fella and was not together before the individual members signed to the label.

Oschino said the problems with Sigel started when he was shorted on show money. “He stole my Hot 97 money. We went on tour. We got paid per diem. We was getting paid every day, but we never went on tour. So we didn’t know how that work,” he said. "It was 4 years later. And the booking agency was talking about how they booking all these shows and I remember I made a joke 'y’all booked our first tour but we didn’t get paid.’ [They said] ‘y’all got paid.’” Oschino believes Sigel kept their money. When asked about it by Charlamagne, Sigel said the story was false, but Oschino claims he’s a “liar” and a “bad person.”

Pusha T Sends Shots at Drake on "H.G.T.V."

RadioOnFire.com - It's been a decade to be exact since Pusha T and Lil Wayne had a falling out that would lead to a plethora of subliminal exchanges over the years. For nearly half of that time he's been letting Drake know he could get it too. And much the same way it doesn't appear Push is ready to hang up his perennial claim to oversee the top of the bars game, it is clear his rivalry with the Cash Money duo has yet seen it's last days. That much was made apparent with the release of "H.G.T.V." on Thursday, October 13. Nestled In the G.O.O.D Music president's hookless single is a bar or two that does some poking.

“It’s too far gone when the realest ain’t real,” Push raps in the verse. “I walk amongst the clouds, so your ceilings ain’t real/ These ni**as ‘Call of Duty’ ’cause they killings ain’t real/ With a questionable pen so the feeling ain’t real.”

Considering the history involved, it's difficult to overlook how close "too far gone" comes to sounding like "So Far Gone," the precursor to Drake's official debut. In the very next line, Push taunts "your ceilings ain't real," which pretty clearly invokes Wayne's "No Ceilings" mixtape released that same year. He then, of course, goes on to resuscitate the ghostwriting allegations that have challenged the OVO artist's reputation over the past year.

Pusha T's beef with Lil Wayne dates all the way back to 2006 when a dispute over whether Wayne was biting The Clipse' style was brought to wax on "Mr. Me Too." The rappers would proceed to trade shots on numerous tracks in the years to follow, with Push introducing Drake into the quarrel on "Exodus 23:1" in 2012.
