Madden 17 Will Incorporate Colin Kaepernick's Protest

RadioOnFire.com - Colin Kaepernick's protest of the National Anthem had made it into the world of gaming. Mention will be made of the San Francisco 49'ers QB's refusal to "stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," in Madden NFL 17, it was announced by EA Sports on Tuesday, August 30.
"Kaepernick's decision will be briefly mentioned in-game, reflecting our commitment to authenticity in Madden NFL 17," a representative for the company told Gamespot.com. "Overall, our new commentary will mainly center around on-field performance, as well as major news like trades, free agency signings, and injuries."
EA Sports' endeavor to ensure that it's 28-year-old Madden NFL brand remains true to its reputation as an authentic reflection of on-field play, has had a lot to do with the realism of its game broadcasts ever since it was introduced behind the color commentary of the legendary John Madden himself, in 1988. Game announcers Brandon Gaudin and Charles Davis make regular studio appearances to record new material throughout the season, which is subsequently uploaded into the game to keep its content current. EA Sports did not specify whether Kaepernick will be shown sitting during the Star-Spangled Banner but did confirm that word about the event and any potential follow-up will be incorporated into Gaudin and Davis' script.

Tomi Lahren Tells Colin Kaepernick To Get Out If He Feels The U.S. Is Racist.: "Aren't You Half White? Didn't 2 White Parents Adopt You After Yours Weren't Willing To Raise You?

RadioOnFire.com - Tomi Lahren has taken aim at San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernickfor his decision to not stand during the national anthem.
As we previously reported, Kaepernick stated that he is "not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color."

Lahren, a conservative talk show host of The Blaze, seized upon those words and delivered a scathing 3 1/2 minute response, in which she called Kaepernick a “whiny, indulgent, attention seeking crybaby.”
“The national anthem and our flag are not symbols of black America or white America brown America or purple America for that matter. There are patriots of EVERY race who have fought and died for that flag and we honor the flag and sing the anthem as a reminder,” she exclaims. "And Colin, if this country disgusts you so much ... leave."
Lahren was far from done.
"Colin how dare you site there and blame white people for the problems in minority communities. After all, aren't you half white?" she continued. "Didn't two white parents adopt you after yours wern't willing to raise you? For a racist and horrible country filled with racist and horrible people, that's really something isn't it?"

I'm not happy with how things are handled and how people can take a false story and blow [it] up into something way more than what it should be." He said, "You look outside and it looks like a war zone for no reason, for some[thing a] stranger said—something about something that don't got nothing to do with nothing, and to react like that, so fast without really knowing the facts ain't cool."
Early Tuesday morning, police and helicopters swarmed the singer's mansion after a woman accused him of pointing a gun at her. Despite the police attempts to get into the home, Brown told his fans in a video post that they would need a search warrant before stepping into his home.

T.I. Backs Colin Kaepernick

RadioOnFire.com - The lines have been drawn in the days since Colin Kaepernick's refusal to stand for the National Anthem, during last week's pre-season game against the Green Bay Packers. Those who have an opinion on the matter have come out in opposition or in approval of his stand, with others expressing some semblance of neutrality. Rap mogul T.I. has added his voice to the growing chorus of support for the San Francisco 49'ers QB, taking to Instagram with a meme quoting Kaepernick, followed by a photo that labels Francis Scott Key a white supremacist slave owner. "I'm rockin with bruh!!!!," the caption of the initial post reads.
"Listen, I respect the troops. I respect their efforts. However, I also acknowledge that black soldiers fought & died in WW2 to defend freedoms & liberties overseas that they couldn't even receive for themselves when they made it back home as veterans," he went on to write, after identifying Key as the composer of the Star-Spangled Banner, and making reference to his having called African-Americans inferior. "Me standing UP (or not standing) for mines shouldn't be taken as an insult against yours," he added.
While reactions to Kaepernick's protest have varied, the loudest response has come from those shaming the 28-year-old Milwaukee native.  Fans have gone as far as burning Kaepernick's jersey, with many vowing to boycott 49'er games until he is cut from the roster.  Most statements from players around the league are in disagreement with his method of protest, with such players as Victor Ortiz saying that the flag ought to be left out of the conversation, and others interpreting his stance as an insult.  Former teammate Alex Boone even implied that had Kap remained seated during the pledge while they played together, he would have confronted him with physical aggression.  As the days go on, however, more and more people have come to his defense, with ESPN journalists Bomani Jones and Stephen A. Smith taking Kaepernick's side, and Myke Tavarres of the Philadelphia Eagles vowing to follow in the QB's footsteps by sitting during the anthem as well.

Rhymefest Films His Trouble Filing a Police Report After Being Robbed

RadioOnFire.com - Song-writer, activist, and former candidate for political office, Rhymefest took to social media with a couple of heavy grievances on Saturday, [August 27] after he experienced trouble reporting that he had been robbed at gunpoint. The "Violence Is Sexy" emcee tweeted a video of himself confronting officers at the Grand Crossing District station [precinct], where he claimed he was denied assistance before taking his phone out to document the interaction.
"I don't feel comfortable because I feel like I'm being treated ... when the camera goes off, you all start telling me to get out, I can't make a report," Rhymefest, whose given name is Che Smith, could be heard responding, after an official requests that he stop recording. The caption of the video implies that such hassle typifies the reason Black Americans often refrain from seeking support from the police. After learning about the incident, Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi issued an apology, saying, "We are disappointed with what we've seen and how Mr. Smith was treated, and the chief of patrol called him personally to apologize on behalf of the department."

Smith's stresses began at around 7:30 a.m. when the unidentified gunman jumped into the back seat, while he sat parked near the 4300 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue. It was at that point that he was forced to give up his wallet, as the man held a firearm to his head. The assailant would flee on foot with what Smith said was all of $3 in his wallet. While he sustained no physical injury, the 39-year-old Chicagoan was emotionally shaken, expressing his frustration via tweet,"To the young brother that put the gun to my head this morning & took my wallet. You don't know how you just damaged your community," he said, alluding to the work he has put into helping stop violence in the city. "I'm not even mad, I'm f***ing hurt."

Colonel Sanders' Nephew May Have Leaked the Secret Chicken Recipe

RadioOnFire.com - For over 80 years KFC has managed to keep Colonel Sanders' recipe for his world famous fried chicken a secret.  That secret may have been accidentally revealed in an interview for a travel piece.
Jay Jones, a reporter for the Chicago Tribune, was interviewing Joe Ledington, a nephew of Kentucky Fried Chicken founder Colonel Harland David Sanders.  It was initially supposed to be a story for the Tribune's travel section about Corbin, Kentucky, where the colonel served his first fried chicken.  However, Ledington pulled out a family scrapbook containing pictures and the last will and testament of Sanders' second wife, Claudia Ledington, who was instrumental in launching what would become a multibillion-dollar fast-food chain boasting nearly 20,000 KFC restaurants in more than 125 countries.  On the back of the document is a handwritten list for a blend of 11 herbs and spices to be mixed with two cups of white flour.
Those 11 herbs and spices are one of the most legendary and closely guarded secrets in the history of fast food.  Ledington initially told the reporter that it was the original recipe, but he later said that he didn't know for sure.
KFC — which is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands Inc. — calls its recipe "one of the biggest trade secrets in the world." It says that the recipe the reporter saw is not the real thing.  "Many people have made these claims over the years and no one has been accurate — this one isn't either," KFC said in a statement.
The Louisville, Kentucky-based company says that the original recipe from 1940 handwritten by Sanders is locked up in a digital safe that's encased in two feet of concrete and monitored 24 hours a day by a video and motion detection surveillance system.
The Tribune tested the recipe and compared it with a bucket of KFC Original Recipe chicken; they say "it was finger lickin' good."

It's now available for everyone to try it themselves and see if it's real or not.
