Birdman: Wayne is Halting the Release of Carter 5

RadioOnFire.com - Birdman claims that Lil Wayne is blocking the release of the long-awaited “Tha Carter V” album.
Sources close to the Cash Money CEO told TMZ that Weezy is in possession of the record’s masters and won’t give them up for release. The rapper reportedly wants to settle his lawsuit with the company before the album gets released. He’s also intent on not leaking it on the internet because he doesn’t believe it should be available for free.
Previous reports pointed to Birdman holding up the album’s release, but he claims he doesn’t even have a copy of it to put out at the moment. Wayne’s recent threats to retire have also agitated the Cash Money head, according to the TMZ report. Lil Wayne doesn’t seem to be letting up. He recently spoke with ‘FS1’s Undisputed’ where he said that he would not want to ever work with Birdman, the man he once called his father, ever again. Wayne says that he’s at the “tipping point” and teased his retirement in the heat of an argument. He can still release free music without Cash Money, but he hasn’t announced anything at this time.
