Meek Mill Takes Shot at Drake Being in His Feelings in Hot 97 Freestyle

RadioOnFire.com - Meek Mill was in New York City on Friday [September 30], showing out with some of the material fans can expect with the impending release of his long anticipated DC4 album. The Philly rap boss took to Hot 97 with over 7-minutes worth of bars that showed a range of content that touched on everything from poverty to street dominance. He also went off on his adversaries, dropping subliminal rhymes and ad libs that addressed beef at home, and abroad.
"Riding down Broad Street, I'm in that [May]bach again/ I bully n****s, I'm like Mack again/ Philly!" Meek rhymed, making clear reference to the recent spat that arose between he and Beanie Sigel after Dream Chasers affiliate Teefy Bey put hands on him back stage at the Philadelphia Bad Boy Reunion stop. He then laid aim at Drake, spitting,"All this cash money got me stuntin' like I'm Baby/ posted up with Nicki, that's when it get tricky/ n****s in they feelings, that's when it get Drizzy."
Veteran jockey Funkmaster Flex looked on as Meek transitioned through verses with his signature aggression, rising to his feet as his crew represented in the background. At one point, he raised the issue of police violence that has reignited a national discourse on race, rapping, "Before you know it, coppers pointing at you telling you 'freeze'/ and you can't afford a lawyer, so they telling you 'plead'/ Man this s**t worse than cancer, like a f***ing disease/ living a nightmare, they telling us 'dream'/ look what they did to Martin Luther, bullet holes in our kings/ and they wonder why we never believe."

Having basically covered all of the bases that comprise what he's been up to in the industry, and drawn contrasts between his appeal to the streets and the draw that other rappers enjoy off of the power of the internet, Meek parted with a message for anyone hyping up regional animosities. "Shout out to all my West Coast n****s, all my East Coast n****s, down South. This s**t ain't about East or West, it's about motherf***ing fake n****s and thorough n****s, basic b*****s and bad b*****s, broke n****s and n****s that get money," he said.

Nate Parker Says He Won't Apologize Over Rape Accusation

RadioOnFire.com - The controversy that has followed Nate Parker since the circumstances surrounding his 1999 rape trial resurfaced last month, gained a head of steam on Thursday [September 29] when a CBS News press release cited the director/producer as having refused to issue an apology over the allegations. The network leaked comments made by Parker in tandem with a teaser for it's "60 Minutes" feature on him, scheduled to air on Sunday.

“I was falsely accused …I went to court …I was vindicated ... I feel terrible that this woman isn’t here … her family had to deal with that, but as I sit here, an apology is ― no,” Parker is quoted as saying. While the 36-year-old actor was acquitted of the four counts he was charged with, certain aspects of the case, including details of a harassment suit which revealed that Parker was involved with exposing his accusers identity to the hostility of students around the Penn State University campus, have been viewed as alarming by rape victims and their advocates. During the "60 Minutes" interview, CBS correspondent Anderson Cooper asked Parker if he felt "morally wrong" for his association with the charges, and his subsequent behavior as it pertained to the accuser. “As a Christian man, just being in that situation, yeah, sure. I’m 36 years old right now, and my faith is very important to me. So looking back at that lens, I definitely feel like, it’s not the lens I had when I was 19 years old,” Parker responded.

For those who've continued to follow the aftermath in the years since Parker's trial, the accusations made against him were further exasperated when in 2012 the plaintiff committed suicide. Characterizing Parker and fellow suspect Jean Celestin's eventual acquittal as a typical case of athletes [Parker and Celestin were on the school wrestling team] receiving the protection of college athletic departments in such situations, the alleged victim's family has publicly lauded the trial and those involved as responsible for her death. Hours apart from CBS' release of the "60 Minutes" teaser, Variety published an Op-Ed written by her sister, titled, Nate Parker's 'Birth of a Nation' Exploits My Sister All Over Again.
"I think that Nat Turner, as a hero, what he did in history, is bigger than me," Parker is reported as having said during the exclusive.

California to End Statute of Limitations After Bill Cosby Case

RadioOnFire.com - California created new legislation that will end the 10-year ban on the statute of limitations which will allow victims of sexual abuse to confess when they are ready to do so.
The ruling which was approved by California Governor Jerry Brown was inspired by the countless accusers who claim comedian Bill Cosby abused them but couldn’t press any charges because of the statute of limitations. These barriers to justice will no longer be a problem for rape victims who never had the courage to confess around the time they were abused. For some victims, it can take decades to come out publicly. The measure was proposed by State Senator Connie Levya and signed into law by the current governor.
“[Brown’s] signature of SB 813 tells every rape and sexual assault victim in California that they matter and that, regardless of when they are ready to come forward, they will always have an opportunity to seek justice in a court of law,” said Levya in a statement. “Rapists should never be able to evade legal consequences simply because an arbitrary time limit has expired.” Cosby won’t be affected by the law since it does not apply retroactively.

Jamie Noble Currently In The Hospital After Getting Stabbed Twice

RadioOnFire.com - Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Jamie Noble is currently in the hospital. Noble is recovering from stab wounds after he was stabbed twice at the Shadowood mobile home park on Wednesday morning

According to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Jamie Noble checked in at his home after finishing up a WWE event, and then he left to get a snack.

When Noble returned he was confronted by a driver who pulled up behind his car and then accused Jamie of cutting him off. The report notes that Noble apologized, but the two men continued to argue, and things got physical so Noble took the man to the ground.

When things got physical two men got out of the suspect’s car, and one of the men stabbed Jamie Noble once in upper-back, and once in the mid-back area, then the group took off.

EMS was then called and Jamie was taken to the emergency room. Noble is reportedly still in the hospital but he is no longer in the ER.

Blac Chyna Tweets Rob's Number to "Ensure He Won't Text No Bi***es"

RadioOnFire.com - In an effort to stop her man from talking to other women, Blac Chyna tweeted out Rob Kardashian’s phone number this week.
She even posted a video explaining her actions. “To ensure that your man is not texting no bitches just tweet his number out. How’s that feel Rob? Get your number changed. Thank you,” she said with Rob standing right next to her. It’s unclear exactly what prompted her to do this, but the same move was made by Rob earlier this month when he blasted his sister Kylie for not inviting Chyna to her own baby shower.
“Didn’t invite the Mother of my child to a baby shower you all were trying to throw for me? You all must have lost your damn minds,” he tweeted. He also made sure everyone knew it was him and that his account wasn’t being hacked. Rob and Chyna have had a rocky relationship as of late. Rob has been uncomfortable with his weight, and that’s been documented on their reality series. He’s also afraid that she might leave him for a rapper, according to TMZ.

Joe Budden: I Hope Meek Mill/Beanie Sigel Beef Ends Peacefully

RadioOnFire.com - Joe Budden isn't directly involved in the beef between Meek Mill and Beanie Sigel, but he did address the issue on his show "I'll Name This Podcast Later" as he's done with other hip hop stories in the past.
Meek Mill released the "OOOOOOUUUU Remix" with a verse from Beanie, who defended his fellow Philly rapper. Things, however, shifted between the two when Sigel was later accused of being a traitor on the low. A Dreamchaser affiliate allegedly knocked down Beanie during the Bad Boy Reunion show in Philly.
Budden said he hopes there's no more violence, and that they're able to resolve things peacefully.
"All that Philly sh-t between Beans, Meek, Omelly, and just that whole camp, I would hope that it's resolved peacefully," said Joe. "Rap beef all you want. I don't want to see anybody get shot. I don't want to see anybody get stabbed. I don't want to see anybody get hit."
"I urge everyone to use prime judgment," said Budden. "Prime judgment is when you're aware and you are well thought out, when you are clear on your objective."
He later added, "If you're a rapper, you should be aware of what's happening in your surroundings... Just be aware that you're a target [of law enforcement]."
Budden had his own verbal back-and-forth moments with Meek in the past.

John Wall Said The Washington Wizards Might Protest as a Team

RadioOnFire.com - The Washington Wizards may be planning a unified demonstration in the spirit of the protests that have spread across the NFL over the past month. Wizards All-Star John Wall opened up on the matter during the team's Media Day festivities this week, saying that the conversation is one that has arisen in the locker room. While he expressed being open to taking a stand, he admitted that it would not be something he'd take on apart from the larger group.
“We’re just sitting back and we’re going to have a talk as a whole team, as a group, and figure out what we want to do,” Wall told WPGC's Steph Lova after sharing that the team planned to soon shoot across town for a visit to the new Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture together. He went as far as confirming that the team had scheduled a dinner over which they planned to discuss a potential demonstration. “You don’t want to just leave one individual out there by himself, I think it should be a team thing, and whatever we decide, I hope it’s a great cause and we represent what we’re supposed to represent,” he said.
Players, coaches, and owners across the league have been largely supportive of athletes exercising their right to free speech during the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner, but the response to question of whether they'd partake in the movement, have varied. Most recently, LeBron James came forward to acknowledge Colin Kaepernick for raising awareness on police brutality, but he rejected the notion that he'd select to abstain from observing the anthem in it's conventional manner. James' position falls in line with that expressed by teammate Iman Shumpert and rival Steph Curry, but differs from that given by Russell Westbrook and Nick Young, who haven't ruled out taking a knee.
The Wizards open their preseason on October 4. Fans will be tuning in to see whether the NFL protest movement crosses over to be carried forth by the team in any manner. Wall and the gang will enjoy three weeks of preparation before they enter the regular season on October 27.

I was so afraid my son was going to see that I tried to end my life,” she said while also explaining how it negatively impacted her life. “I was a straight A student. Man Tries to Kiss Kim Kardashian's Butt & Gets Tackled By Security

RadioOnFire.com - Butt-kissing was re-defined by a crazed Kim Kardashian fan who tried to pucker up and plant one on the reality star’s backside while she was walking through a crowd of paparazzi.
Kardashian was busy dodging cameras when a man bent down and moved his face toward her butt. He was tackled by security before he could actually plant one. Kim then made her way out of the crowd. TMZ claims this man also attacked model Gigi Hadid last week when he tried grabbing her butt. His name is Vitalii Sediuk and he’s been able to slip past the security of some high profile people. Kardashian was pleased with her people’s reaction and told reporters “My security’s a G.”
Vitalii also tried to attack Kardashian 2 years ago in Paris. She was almost knocked to the ground in that altercation. He basically lunged at her, but security was able to jump in and pull her away in time. She was with her husband Kanye West attending a fashion show.

French Montana Says Max B Could Serve up to 6-Years if He Gets in Trouble

RadioOnFire.com - French Montana explained the conditions of Max B’s plea deal during an interview with Funkmaster Flex earlier this week.
The two were both happy about the fact that the rapper will be released a lot earlier than expected originally. French explained how it all went down. “Well, he took a plea deal,” he said. “Cause the numbers was crazy they gave him. That whole 75 years. Cause he blew trial. So, when he took the plea deal, they just knocked down the years from 75 to 20. But he already got almost 10 years in..He can come home as early as two years. But if he f**k it up in there, he could do up to six…He thinking he gonna die in there. They gonna own his coffin. Now 20 is like a walk in the park.”
French originally leaked news of Max’s release through a text message earlier this month. “All of Max charges have been dropped and he entered in to a plea deal and took aggravated manslaughter. Best case scenario max could be home in 2 years. Worst case scenario he can be home in 6,” the message read. Montana went on to say that this was a dream come true and proclaimed, “God is the greatest” at the end of the post.

Beanie Sigel Responds to Getting KO'd & Telling Meek Mill to Ignore Drake

RadioOnFire.com - While a guest on the Tax Season Podcast on Wednesday [September 28], Beanie Sigel defended himself against reports that he was confronted backstage at the Bad Boy Family Reunion concert in Philly last week. The legendary Broad Street Bully cleared the record on initial photos and video that showed him laid out as his attacker walked off, asking fans to dig for the complete footage before passing judgement. According to Sigel, he was sucker punched by someone acting on Meek Mill's behalf, after he attempted to have a one-on-one talk with the Dream Chasers rapper.
"Wasn't nothing straight up, he stood up in front of me. Let's keep it 100. The people who got the full tape, show it. It's me and three n****s that's probably, no bigger than 5'2". You got a 6'4" 300 something pound n***a whose front lining for this dude. Young boy, in his prime," Beans told Taxstone. In the days since the incident, additional footage indeed has leaked to show that the punch that floored Sigel came from a blindside. He went on to explain that it seems to him as though there is no talking to Meek at this stage of his career, as was the case when moments earlier he was brushed off by his Philly rap successor. "'Meek, you wanna talk?'" He said, "'Nah. Handle your business; we'll talk afterwards.'" Meek said to Beans before responding, "'Alright, that's what we'll do. We'll talk about it.' Because it wasn't, after awhile, you know what? He's never gonna listen. He's on his arrogance. He's never going to listen because he's on his high. He come from nothing to having something, he ain't take his fall yet. He don't know the same people you see going up, is the same people you're going to see when you come down," said Beanie.
During the interview Sigel also took the time to opine on Meek's year long beef with Drake, saying that he doesn't believe it comes down to rhymes. "It's not taking away from your money or none of that. So what's the real reason why you're mad? What's the real reason why you was made at Drake? And my point of view.. you was laying in the bed one night. You rolled over, and you looked at her cuz, and you asked her: "You f***ed that n***a?" and she ain't answer you in the way you wanted her to," he said. Beanie had been discussing how unwise he sees it to question the street cred of a pop superstar like Drake, when it doesn't apply to someone like him.

DJ Envy Says Stop and Frisk Got Rid Of Guns, Joe Budden Responds

RadioOnFire.com - Power 105.1 host DJ Envy found himself in the social media hot seat on Tuesday morning, September 27, after he appeared to legitimize the effectiveness of the NYPD "Stop and Frisk" policy that was ruled unconstitutional in 2013. The Breakfast Club crew was covering Monday's presidential debate during their Front Page News segment when Charlamagne Tha God contended with a soundbite in which Trump posed that he'd re-implement the tactic to take guns away from "bad people that shouldn't have them." Envy then chimed in, setting off a back and forth that concluded with Charlamagne and Angela Yee questioning whether he was dealing in facts.
“Well, it got a lot of guns off the streets. The way that the NYPD was doing it was unconstitutional. They didn’t do it the way that it was supposed to be done, that’s why they pulled it from New York,” Envy said. This prompted his counterpart to present statistics published by the New York State Attorney General which cited only a 3% conviction rate and a meager 0.1% rate of conviction for violent crimes having come of the 2.4 million stops recorded between 2009 and 2012. Envy would reiterate his point that albeit it was not instituted correctly, he believes it was effective, stating, "even if you could say it’s one percent or .1 percent, they got tons of guns off the street, which is the most important thing.”
Within hours of the brief dispute, the Twittersphere was reacting, with many siding against DJ Envy's position. One listener who expressed criticism of the host's remarks was rapper Joe Budden, who tweeted, “DJ Envy supports Stop & Frisk… as a minority… with minority children… in our current state…. interesting.”
Envy's assertion that the Stop and Frisk policy did not target "areas where there was a lot of crime" is inaccurate. The statistics from the Attorney General report cited by Charlamagne, expose the numbers amassed under the tenure of former Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, who introduced an initiative that assigned rookie cops to patrol high crime areas. Operation Impact, as it was called, was heavily criticized for placing the onus of attacking crime in areas comprised primarily of poor people of color, on officers who were less experienced. It was with Operation Impact that Stop and Frisk worked hand-in-hand in a manner that saw cases of racial profiling climb to alarming rates.

Draymond Green Says He Won't Kneel for Anthem Protest

RadioOnFire.com - Players in the NBA have previously spoken out about racial injustice wearing "I Can't Breathe" shirts for Eric Garner, and hoodies for Trayvon Martin. With the NBA season steadily approaching, many have been wondering if basketball players will kneel for the anthem like others in the NFL have done in support of Colin Kaepernick's protest.
The first NBA media day was held [September 26], and players were asked if they will join the protest. Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, says it's important to make these issues heard.
"I think it's important to speak out cause we're human," said Green.  "I think a lot of times people say oh, they should talk about this or they shouldn't talk about this.  I mean me personally, I can really care less of what somebody thinks I should or shouldn't do.  I am human, I have the right to speak out or do whatever I choose, as well as other guys.
"With the platform that we have, I think a lot of people say they should speak out because people are watching, and I think that's all personal preference.  I think there are a lot of changes that need to be made.  It's not just the killing of black people, that's obviously rough and crazy to me, but there's a lot of changes that need to be made in this country."
Like LeBron James, however, Green said he will not kneel for the anthem.
"Obviously, everybody's been talking about the kneeling and stuff that Colin started, and I respect Colin for that.  He took a stand that he knew would probably create some controversy, and he didn't care, and I respect that because sometimes controversy is needed in order to get a point across, and I think he's gotten his point across," said Green.
"Am I gonna kneel down or put my fist up?  No, I'm not, and that's no disrespect to Colin or anybody else who's doing it, but the point is out, they've gotten the point across.  I don't think I need to come out and do this national anthem protest, because it's already been started, it's already a conversation," Green continued.
"Like I said, the question is, is there gonna be something done about it?  You can continue to kneel and do all these things, but if nobody is really trying to make the change, I think the number one problem is the people who see a problem with what he's doing, because that means you're focused on what he's doing and not what he's talking about, and that's the problem that we have as a whole anyway."

Green says he's on the board of a nonprofit organization called "Rise to Win," which was created to face these issues.  He says he doesn't need the protest to come out and say what's wrong.

Young Joc Sues His Booking Manager for $6000 on Judge Faith Jenkins Show

RadioOnFire.comThe television audience was tuned in to find a familiar face on the Judge Faith show on Monday, [September 26]. The courtroom oversaw a case involving Yung Joc. With Judge Faith [Jenkins] presiding, Joc traded a couple of witty exchanges but was ultimately there to settle a financial dispute with booking manager, Polo 2G.

“I’mma keep it all the way 100. I had to come here today in front of the honorable Judge Faith Jenkins because my supposed-to-be manager back here done took this money," Joc says during the opening segment. "But I came here today to get it back.”

Yung Joc's claim had to do with Polo 2G allegedly stiffing him of compensation he was owed for an appearance he did. Included in the $6,000 suit was also a claim that his former manager, was using a look-a-like to make money off of his name. Judging by the light interaction between he and Polo 2G, it is difficult to determine how legit the case is, with Joc facing a countersuit for $1,000. Polo 2G's claim is that Joc failed to reward him after losing a game of Spades.

Mary J. Blige Sings to Hillary Clinton About Police Killing Unarmed Blacks

RadioOnFire.com - Apple Music released a pair of promotional teasers for an exclusive sit down with Hillary Clinton, on Monday, [September 26]. The one-on-one special might entice fans of Hip Hop and R&B, as it will feature the presidential hopeful fielding questions from host, Mary J. Blige. The interview, which is billed as The 411 w/ Mary J. Blige [an allusion to MJB's classic debut album], is scheduled to air on Apple Music beginning [September 30].
Judging by the content of the snippets, much of the interview's focus will revolve around issues that resonate with Black voters. In one clip Mary asks Clinton how she plans to deal with Congress, should she face the same obstruction as a woman, that she says Obama has faced for being Black. But it is the initial video clip that underscores the dynamic of having one of the most endeared singers of a generation sitting across from the presidential candidate, zeroing in on Blige as she serves up a question on police brutality, but not before breaking out in song. “If an officer stops you, always be polite and never ever run away…promise mama you’ll keep your hands inside/ Is it a gun…is it a knife…is it a wallet…this is your life. It ain’t no secret…you can get killed just for living in your American skin,” sings Mary.
Winning the Black vote should not be a problem for Clinton. While Trump's numbers among the demographic have slightly risen since his campaign began targeting Black churches in August, he is still getting dominated by Hillary on the racial front. Still, just this week Roland Martin of NewsOne Now warned that a good swath of Black voters in Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio might remain undecided. Never the less, the Democratic Party has long won the favor of Black entertainers, such as Mary, and heading into November, such appearances can only help Clinton keep a consistent presence among her loyal base.
