Snoop Dogg to Headline Unity Party for Democratic National Convention

RadioOnFire.com - Snoop Dogg will be the headliner for the upcoming “Unity Party” for donors for the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
The party will be held on July 28 and will feature the “Gin and Juice” rapper, according to a statement sent to Billboard by the Senate Majority PAC. The show will also feature the Grammy-Award winning rock band Los Lobos. Snoop has voiced his support for Hillary Clinton, the Democratic candidate for president in the past. He previously said on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live" that the U.S. could use a woman president at this point in time. “But I’ll say that I would love to see a woman in office because I feel like we’re at that stage in life to where we need a perspective other than the male’s train of thought,” he said. “And just to have a woman speaking from a global perspective as far as representing America, I’d love to see that. So I’ll be voting for Ms. Clinton.”
He also said he was a fan of Mrs. Clinton back in 2008 when she was running against then Senator Barack Obama. “I just want to see somebody win in the best interest of America-whether it be [Obama], a black man, or whether it be Hillary, a woman,” said Snoop. “Either one is a great move for America. We need change. We need somebody in there that’s about listening to the people and representing the people. I think both of the candidates will do that.”
