Katt Williams Arrested for Allegedly Hitting a Woman in L.A.

RadioOnFire.com - Sunday [July 24], Katt Williams was arrested for misdemeanor battery, after allegedly assaulting a woman in the Sherman Oaks section of Studio City, Los Angeles. Williams was reportedly detained at the Sportsmen's Lodge restaurant on Ventura Blvd. at noon time. Investigators are continuing to look into the matter, but what is known thus far is that the alleged victim is an employee of the establishment.
According to the records released, when the LAPD arrived in response to a call about the confrontation, they found that the accusing party had placed Williams under citizens arrest. Police reported her to have shown visible signs of a scrap, with a minor injury to the face. After four hours in custody Williams was released on $20,000 bail. Further detail about the incident, including the accuser's name, and whether there are any witnesses to the alleged assault, have not been made public.
It is the fifth time Williams has found himself in cuffs this year. Back in April, the 44-year-old comedian was locked up for throwing a salt shaker at the manager of a seafood restaurant in Georgia. At that point, he had already been behind bars three times over the period of three preceding months, with a February charge of false imprisonment followed by the assault of an employee at a pool supply store the very next day. That before being taken in on charges of disorderly conduct after snuffing 17-year-old Luke Wash outside of an apartment complex in Atlanta; an incident made famous when a video of Wash responding to the attack with a headlock and take down of Williams went viral.
