Troy Ave Survives Christmas Shooting

RadioOnFire.com - Troy Ave is in a Brooklyn hospital recovering from two gunshot wounds he sustained while traveling to celebrate Christmas with family on Sunday, December 25.
The rapper, born Roland Collins, was ambushed as his Maserati waited for the light at the E. 91 Street and Linden Blvd. intersection in East Flatbush, shortly before 4:30 p.m. The gunman, whose identity was concealed by a hoodie, is reported to have ran up to Troy's window and opened fire, grazing him once in the head, and piercing his shoulder with a bullet that would remain lodged in his back.
"He looked to his left, he saw that the guy had a gun and was about to fire, and he started driving away," Troy's lawyer, John Stella said in a statement. "He continued driving and he reached the point where he was bleeding pretty profusely. And, apparently, a good Samaritan drove him and his girl a couple of blocks the rest of the way to Brookdale [hospital]."
Troy Ave remains in stable condition.
