RadioOnFire.com - A documentary on Dr. Dre and Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine is in the works, HBO announced earlier this week. The documentary, titled, "The Defiant Ones," will focus on the pair's partnership over the years.
Iovine and Dre first teamed up in 1992, as Interscope acquired the rights to market and distribute Dre's label, Death Row Records. The two partnered again in the late nineties, working together on another Dr. Dre label, Aftermath. Most recently, Dre and Iovine created headphone company Beats by Dre.
"The Defiant Ones" features interviews with rappers Eminem, Nas, Ice Cube, and Snoop Dogg, as well as other musicians like Gwen Stefani and Bono. The 4-part documentary is scheduled for a 2017 release.
