One Dead In Crash That Shuts Down Route 50


RadioOnFire.com - A fatal accident has shut down U.S. Route 50 near Cape St. Claire Road, and officials say much of  the roadway will remain closed throughout the morning.
Police say a tractor trailer overturned in the eastbound lanes at around 2:30 this morning.  The truck driver was killed.
WBAL-TV reports that the driver lost control of the truck and it flipped over.  The truck was carrying milk products.
The Maryland State Highway Administration says as of 9:30 a.m., one lane of the highway is open in each direction around Cape St. Claire Road.
Officials say motorists can used College Parkway or Whitehall Road as a detour.
