Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes was on her way to recovery and doing well, but she has now taken a turn for the worse.
In 2013 she was forcibly placed in a mental hospital after a series of bizarre public displays ranging from disheveled wigs, talking to herself and setting fire in the driveway of a stranger.
She was reportedly diagnosed as both schizophrenic and bi-polar. Her parents, Rick and Lynn, were granted temporary conservatorship. When Amanda was released from UCLA Medical Center she went to live with them in California.
Everything was fine for a while. In December 2013 the actress enrolled in at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Irvine, but was kicked out in August 2014 for alleged drug use. On September 28, 2014 she was arrested for her second DUI.
TMZ reports that she was was under the influence of Adderall at the time, which had been prescribed by her doctor.
With her parents no longer having conservatorship over her Amanda left California and moved back to New York City in early October. Upon arrival she had a bandage on her face.
