Ray Lewis Apologizes For Flacco Critcism

RadioOnFire.com - Ravens legend Ray Lewis has taken a lot of flak in the past of few days since criticizing Joe Flacco's passion. Now he's apologizing.
"I'm a Raven for life, but Joe Flacco, what I was talking about, my brother, it wasn't even about you, it wasn't even personal," Lewis said in a video posted on social media Monday morning. "It was just me being frustrated [over] watching something that I had control over for so many years, which was men and inspiring them to go on and do things and guess what? Like everybody else, I lashed out at the quarterback because, quote-unquote, that's the person who's supposed to carry us or do whatever."
Last week, in picking the Ravens over the Cowboys on Fox Sports 1's "Speak For Yourself," the retired linebacker discussed Flacco's "inconsistency."
"Gifted? Absolutely. Passionate about what he does? I've never seen that," Lewis said.
Current Ravens and former teammates reacted with some level of puzzlement at Lewis' comments. Speaking to a radio show, Bart Scott said Ray Lewis got his second Super Bowl ring in large part because of Flacco, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Lewis acknowledged that criticism, but said "we carried each other."
"Listen, from a man, you'll never hear it again," Lewis said. "Sorry for ever even calling out your name or putting your name in the context of making you try to be anything that I am or anything that you're not."
