CFO Chris Hart & COO Nils Juell Are The Latest Executives To Be Fired By Jay Z's Tidal

RadioOnFire.com - As Tidal continues to try to find it's footing the company has fired two more executives.
Music Business Worldwide reports that Chief Financial Officer Chris Hart and Chief Operating Officer Nils Juell have been given their walking papers.
“Tidal has terminated CFO Chris Hart and COO Nils Juell," the company said in a statement via MBW. "As Tidal has grown into a global operation serving 46 countries we have moved our accounting and operations team to New York while our technology team and key support staff remain in Oslo.”
Since Jay Z's 2015 acquisition of the Norwegian music streaming service for $56 million, a number of high level executives have been let go.

Peter Tonstad
CEO Andy Chen was shown the door in April 2015, amid company "streamlining." His replacement Peter Tonstad was gone 2 months later.
US Sales & Marketing Manager David SolomanSenior Vice President of Label & Artist Relations Zena Burns and Chief Investment Officer Vania Schlogel are also gone.
The service is struggling to bring in new subscribers amid a crowded field that includesApple Music and Spotify.

Kanye West's February release of the Tidal exclusive "The Life of Pablo" , gave the streaming service a much needed shot in the arm. More than doubling it's subscriber base from around 1 million to over 2 million.

However, the New York Post reports that Samsung has been in talks with Jay Z about possibly acquiring Tidal, so it remains to be seen how this will all play out.
