RadioOnFire.com - LeBron James appeared on The Ellen Show and talked about various topics.
Ellen congratulated him on winning a championship with his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers. "It felt a lot different," James said. "Just two years ago I decided to go back home and my main goal was to bring a championship to a place that hasn't seen one in over 50-plus years. To be able to bring it back to the hometown and do something that a lot of people didn't expect, but we believed in, meant everything."
"That's what they say," LeBron said as he was modest when Ellen mentioned that he's 'the highest paid player that ever has been.' In August LeBron signed a three-year, $100 million deal with the Cavaliers, making him the highest paid player in the league. He'll earn $31 million in the 2016-17 season, over $33 million in the 2017-18 season, and $35.6 million in the 2018-19 season (player option), passing Michael Jordan who holds the single-season record with $33 million.
