Flooding Strands Dwight Howard, Houston Rockets Fans in Arena Overnight

RadioOnFire.com - Fans were stranded for seven hours after a Houston Rockets playoff game because of dangerous floods outside.

Just before the end of the Rockets' win over the Golden State Warriors on Monday, a message on the scoreboard told fans to stay put. The team tweeted: "Toyota Center is advising fans to stay in seats after game due to severe weather outside. Be safe."

As severe storms moved through Southeast Texas again late Monday into early Tuesday morning, high water and flooding made many of Houston's roads impassable, prompting officials to urge residents to stay home.

The fourth-largest city in the USA is suffering some of its worst flooding in years as much of the city and its freeway system are under water.
