Waka Flocka Drops Gucci Mane Diss Track "Was My Dawg"

RadioOnFire.com - Just a day after sending shade at former best pal Gucci Mane during an interview, Waka Flocka has released a diss track aimed squarely at his old 1017 Brick Squad labelmate.
In the new track titled "Was My Dawg," Waka never mentions Gucci by name, but with lines like "always yelling Brick Squad, always talking fam first/when your a** got locked up, you turned on the fam first," it seems pretty clear who the song is directed at. If that was too subtle a reference for some, Waka also tagged Gucci in his Instagram post announcing the new track.

The song comes a day after Waka sat down with BBC Radio 1Xtra for an interview in which he seriously questioned Gucci Mane's street cred, which is sampled at the end of the song.

50 Cent's Son Marquise Takes a Shot at His Dad in New Track "Different"

RadioOnFire.com - Marquise Jackson has made it known that he doesn't have the best relationship with his father, 50 Cent.
In "Different," from his upcoming mixtape titled "Escape," Marquise raps, “I lost my pops, he still alive. Save this for a different song, a different time.”
It is real sad that it has come to the point where the son is dissing the father on a record. I am sure they will be good one day.

Lil Mo Fired, Weeks After Defending Chrisette Michele.

RadioOnFire.com - Just a few weeks after she defended her friend Chrisette Michele and threatened to fight Spike Lee, Lil Mo is out of a radio job.

The songstress turned Washington D.C. radio host lost her gig at 93.9 WKYS on Friday and she was none too pleased about it.

After hearing about her firing after a confidential email leaked, Mo took to IG to send a message to Radio One. “Since I got fired and was humbly requested “please don’t disparage us on social media. Chowwwww people are WEIRD AF!”

She later sent a more positive message out about God removing her from a toxic situation and noted that she tried to be “Harriet Tubman” while working at the station and encourage others to leave.

Now while I don't agree with Lil Mo's stance on the Chrisette Michele controversy I do believe she should have the right to voice her opinion. I have worked with Lil Mo in the past and I am surprised she took that stance as it relates to a performance at Trump's inauguration given that she is black and a Muslim! With that being said, my girl Lil Mo will be fine. She is talented and very outspoken. If she wants to return to radio, she will - but if not, she will be good! Love you Mo.

Michael Vick Officially Retires From the NFL

RadioOnFire.com - After 13 active NFL seasons, which exclude his infamous two years suspended from the game and incarcerated for his involvement in a dog fighting ring, Michael Vick has declared himself officially retired from pro football.
Vick's exit from the game, which comes following a year on hiatus, was formally announced by ESPN's Josina Anderson on Friday, February 3. Fans will recall Vick looking to make a splash in the league again when he got an opportunity to start in Ben Roethlisberger's place when the Steelers quarterback went down mid-2015. But his opportunity was short lived, as he himself got injured a couple of games into his fill-in role. What many fans may not know is that up until the beginning of the current season, Vick still felt the calling to return for one last comeback, but it was not meant to be.
The timing of Vick's departure is uncanny considering it comes days before the team that drafted him and supported his rise through his first six seasons in the NFL competes for a chance to win it all in the Super Bowl. Vick never did bring his Atlanta Falcons to the big game. But his highlight reel ability no doubt drew the attention of fans from around the country and teams around the league on a weekly basis. Vick was a Pro Bowler for half of the seasons in which he played in the Georgia Dome.
Vick's return to football after his absence during the 2007 and 2008 seasons proved that for as long as youth was on his side, his ability could help him adapt to shine among the best in the game. In 2010 he made a full return, starting 12 games and leading the Philadelphia Eagles to the playoffs on the strength of his 21 passing touchdowns and nine rushing TD's, in what would be one of his finest seasons. It can be argued that his skills didn't necessarily decline, as he continued to show flashes of brilliance over the next several seasons, but his production certainly slowed down, until he was gone from the Eagles and relegated to a backup role on the Jets in 2014, before making his final stop in Pittsburgh.
With 6,109 rushing yards to his name, he goes down as the most successful rushing quarterback of all-time, and a pioneer who would entice future teams who've sought to build around a dual-threat passer/runner.

Jaden Smith Breaks Down His Social Movement, Plans to Change the World

RadioOnFire.com - Highsnobiety caught up with Jaden Smith at a pop-up shop he's erected at V-Files in SOHO, New York City this week, and they got more than a sense of his ambition in fashion, they got a bit of insight on the movement he is building.
"I'm trying to create a collective of kids that come together so that we could have the pool of all of the best ideas of how to create the future world," Smith told Highsnobiety. He touched on many of the challenges facing the world today, focusing much of his concern for the environment and how it will force the best minds to come together to save cities from sinking under rising sea levels, among other threats humanity faces. Smith asserts that beyond a yearning to put out nice clothes, he wants people to come together around the brand as a means to identify with one another and springboard their involvement in the culture, towards involvement into greater issues.
"I'm trying to create an establishment with all these kids that are smart, that we're gonna know how to redesign New York and Miami, Shanghai. It's like, we need that," he said. He said through Misfits Rep he hopes to evolve culture and build schools. He also touched on his recent actions involving Shia Labeouf and their 24-hour webcam protest project in New York City. "We're trying to really bring people in and really create a movement where kids are like yo, he will not divide us, no one will divide us, they will not divide us, we are all in unity," said Smith.
