RadioOnFire.com - Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa and the owner of the Camden, NJ arena, where a railing collapsed during their recent concert, are now being sued by the victims.
The lawsuit includes 17 plaintiffs and says one even suffered a fractured spine from the incident. Their lawyer, Robert J. Mongeluzzi, recently spoke to the Associated Press about the case. “I can tell you there is no doubt there was a crowd surge based upon the setup of the lawn with no chairs and no aisles, lack of security, and then the artists telling people to come forward,” he said. “That’s the setup, and that’s the failure.”
Around 15 people were injured in the railing collapse despite early reports of 42 being hurt. A spokesperson for the Camden police department clarified those reports statements and said “almost all of them were just treated on the scene and released. Maybe two or three to the hospital. I don’t know the extent of their injuries, but I didn’t gather it was super-serious. I think we’re looking at bumps and bruises here.” Snoop was upset about the incident and said he wanted to make sure everyone was ok before leaving the venue during an interview with The Breakfast Club. However, both he and Wiz were escorted out of the place before that could happen.
