RadioOnFire.com - It's official, Kanye West and Drake are collaborating on an album together. West broke the news during a cameo at OVO Fest on Monday night [August 1]. "Toronto, I got one question for you… Is y'all ready for this album?" Ye asked the Toronto audience, before cutting the music. "I’m not talking about Pablo. I’m not talking about VIEWS. I want to ask y’all — y’all read for this album?”
After West had got the crowd hyped, Drake joined him on stage, seconding Ye's teaser in the form of clarification. “What my brother was asking before was, are you ready if we make an album? That’s what he was asking." Shortly before midnight, OVO Sound Radio confirmed the news with a tweet that read, "Collaborative tape between @kanyewest &@Drake will release this year. Official announcement at #OVOFEST more information later this year."
Kanye has been talking about doing a project with Drake for a couple of years now, explaining during a 2015 interview on The Breakfast Club, that their prior motions towards a joint venture pre-dated Drake's work with Wayne and his link with Jay-Z for Watch the Throne.
