RadioOnFire.com - Let’s just say that in some places when you mess with a momma bear’s cub, you’re likely to get your feelings hurt – or worse. Clearly, republican congressional aide and communications director for Rep. Stephen Fincher of Tennessee, Elizabeth Lauten didn’t get that memo.
After the annual White House turkey pardon, Lauten posted to her Facebook account some very tasteless things about Barack Obama’s 13 and 16-year-old daughters, Sasha and Malia. “Dear Sasha and Malia, I get you’re both in those awful teen years, but you’re a part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play,” she writes. “Then again, your mother and father don’t respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I’m guessing you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good role model’ department.”
The nerve of some people. Well, after editing her original; and very lame apology to the girls, news breaks that Lauten resigns.
Drop down for more.
“When I first posted on Facebook, I reacted to an article and I quickly judged the two young ladies in a way that I would never have wanted to be judged myself as a teenager,” Lauten wrote. “After many hours of prayer, talking to my parents, and re-reading my words online I can more clearly see just how hurtful my words were.”
The news of Lauten’s resignation comes Monday, Dec. 1.
