Cuba Gooding Jr. to Play O.J. Simpson in New TV Series About His Infamous Murder Trial
RadioOnFire.com - It was the trial that captured the nation and now it’s coming to television screens in the form of a new TV series. Former NFL legend O.J. Simpson was tried and acquitted on two counts of murder for the deaths of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman. The trial is now being told through a TV series called “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson” and Cuba Gooding Jr. has scored the leading role.

Cuba Gooding Jr. to play O.J. Simpson in a new FX miniseries that will focus on the disgraced football legend’s 1995 murder trial.
“American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson,” an offshoot of “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story” series, will also star actress Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark, Deadline reports.
The new anthology miniseries is based on the 1996 book “The Run of his Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson,” by New Yorker scribe Jeffery Toobin, and will run for 10 episodes.
The role will be Gooding’s first foray into TV since the early days of his acting career, when he played bit parts in shows like “Hill Street Blues” and “MacGyver.”
Many people think Simpson was guilty of the murders and he even wrote a book called “If I Did It” where he gave a “hypothetical” description of the crime. I wonder how the TV series will handle it.
