RadioOnFire.com - Charles Barkley is making controversial statements once again. The outspoken former NBA player was a guest on Philadelphia radio station 97.5 The Fanatic recently when the topic of the Ferguson grand jury deciding not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown.
Barkley thought the grand jury made the right call.
"The true story came out from the grand jury testimony," Barkely told Mike Missanelli, adding that "three or four witnesses, who were black, said exactly what the cop [Wilson] said."
The looting and riots were a sore point for Barkley. He doesn't even consider the troublemakers to be African Americans.
"Those aren't black people, those are scumbags," he said. "There is no excuse for people to be out there burning down people's businesses, burning down police cars. We have to be really careful with the cops man, because if it wasn’t for the cops we would be living in the Wild, Wild West in our neighborhoods,” Barkley continued. “We can’t pick out certain incidents that don’t go our way and act like the cops are all bad. Do you know how bad some of these neighborhoods would be if it wasn’t for the cops?”
