NFL: John Harbaugh Says Joe Flacco is “the Best Quarterback in Football”

RadioOnFire.com - No matter how crappy Joe Flacco plays during the season, during the playoffs he somehow turns it all around. On Saturday, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback helped hand the Pittsburgh Steelers a 30-17 loss in the Wild Card division and eliminated them from the playoffs with the Ravens moving on to the Divisional Round. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was pretty impressed with his quarterback, so much so he gave him the highest praise ever.

via ProFootballTalk:

“Joe Flacco, what can you say? I think he had a perfect quarterback rating in the third quarter. That’s playoff football. That’s Joe Flacco. he’s the best quarterback in football. We’d take him any day of the week, twice on Sunday — or Saturday night, if that be the case,” Harbaugh said.

I wanna give Harbaugh the benefit of the doubt and say he was high off the playoff win and doesn’t actually believe Joe Flacco is the best quarterback in football but he’s made this declaration before. Flacco has never thrown for 4,000 yards during the regular season but during the postseason he turns it up.

In the Ravens’ first-ever playoff victory over their rival, Flacco completed 18 of 29 passes for 259 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions, finishing with a 114.0 passer rating. By beating Pittsburgh, Flacco improved to 10-4 in the postseason, including seven playoff wins on the road — two more than any other quarterback in NFL history. Over his last five postseason games, Flacco has thrown 13 touchdowns and no interceptions while earning Super Bowl MVP.
