Judge Revokes Chris Brown's Probation In Rihanna Assault Case

RadioOnFire.com - Chris Brown had his probation revoked on Thursday, January 15. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin has allowed the singer to remain free until a March 20 probation update hearing.

Brown ran into trouble because he traveled to San Jose for a recent concert without receiving permission and failure to complete his community service on time.

Mark Geragos, Brown's attorney, took the blame for his client's January 11 trip to San Jose. He told Brandlin that his office incorrectly advised Brown that he could travel to the city for a concert at the Fiesta club. Five people were during the Fiesta club performance. The judge said there was no indication Brown had anything to do with the shooting, but ordered an investigation into the incident.

Brown is still on probation for his 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna.
