RadioOnFire.com - The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for much of central and western Maryland and the upper Eastern Shore to take effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
11 Insta-Weather PLUS Chief Meteorologist Tom Tasselmyer said a fast-moving clipper will bring some snow, but it's not a power-packed storm. Still, it could cause some problems for the Wednesday afternoon and evening rush hour.
The potential for about 1-3 inches of accumulation is highest between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., particularly in the northwest suburbs, including the northern parts of Baltimore City.
More of a wintry mix is expected in Anne Arundel County and along the Eastern Shore.
The State Highway Administration said its crews pre-treated major roads and interstates overnight with salt brine to prepare.
Temperatures are expected to start in the upper 20s and rise to the mid-30s Wednesday. Once the storm is over, expect some leftover ice on the roads as temperatures fall back into the 20s.
