Shortly afterwards, it was reported that his wife, Kim Kardashian, was held at gunpoint by men who were disguised as police officers in her hotel room in Paris. Kim was not hurt in the incident. Kanye did not return to the stage to finish his set.
Several million dollars of jewellery were reportedly stolen in the hold-up.
Kardashian, 35 – who was in France for Paris Fashion Week with sister Kourtney, half-sister Kendall Jenner and mum Kris Jenner – was left "badly shaken" by the shocking incident.
Hubby Kanye West cancelled his performance at the Meadows music and arts festival at Citi Field in New York mid-show as he learned of the emergency on stage.
It is unclear where their children North, three, and Saint, nine months, were at the time. #kanyewest #kimkardashian
