RadioOnFire.com - After contributing 4 catches for 28 yards in a 38-13 trauncing of the New York Giants by the Packers in Green Bay, Odell Beckham Jr. was confronted with question of whether his highly publicized night out in the club with the likes of Justin Bieber and Trey Songz earlier this week might have had anything to do with his performance.
The choice of OBJ and a few teammates to spend a late night out only days away from their first round playoff matchup led to the All-Pro wide receiver being grilled by the media in the days leading up to the game. His response to the persistent question after the dismal defeat, and echoed that which has been put out by members of the organization who have come to bat for the NFC Wild Card contenders. What might have happened a week ago has no bearing on what happens today, he said.
"At the end of the day I went through practice. Um, had zero drops, zero misassignments. Um, there was nothing that could connect 7 days ago to today, and how we came out and played and executed," he told reporters. In fact, according to the sophomore sensation, the distraction was in the reaction instigated by the press Beckham Jr. inferred, after crediting the Packers with showing up as the better team. "I think it did a great job at creating distractions for us," he said.
