RadioOnFire.com - Music rights management company BMI recently announced they have dropped gospel singer Kim Burrell from their Trailblazers of Gospel Music awards ceremony due to the controversy surrounding her homophobic comments. They released a statement that read, "Given the controversy surrounding this year's co-honoree Kim Burrell, we have asked her to not take part in the ceremony in order to allow the focus to remain on the songwriters and their music."
