50 Cent Blames Lawyers for Bankruptcy, Sues for $32 Million

RadioOnFire.com - 50 Cent turned the tables filing a $32-million claim against the lawyers he originally hired to represent him in the Lastonia Leviston sex-tape case. The Queens rapper blames those at the Reed Smith law firm - including attorney Peter Raymond - for his bankruptcy, which he filed for in 2015, soon after he was ordered to pay Leviston $7 million.

“Reed Smith and Raymond did not follow established legal standards in representing Jackson in the Leviston Case by failing to provide effective representation and conduct proper pre-trial and trial preparation prior to the Leviston trial,” the complaint reads, according to The Wrap. “In addition, their lack of effective representation and inadequate pre-trial preparation and preparation for trial caused Jackson to retain new counsel on the eve of trial.”

50 Cent is reportedly seeking $7 million in actual damages and $25 million in punitive damages. Last year he was successful in his malpractice lawsuit against his former legal team, One Law Firm.

Soulja Boy Drops Mayweather as Coach, Gets Evander Holyfield to Help Him Train

RadioOnFire.com - TMZ reports that Soulja Boy has scrapped Floyd Mayweather Jr. from his corner for his anticipated boxing match against Chris Brown. There was reason to speculate that Mayweather would be dropped when earlier this month, Soulja Boy took to social media to express discouragement over how long the process was taking to get all of the logistics hammered down under Mayweather Promotions. It appeared as though Floyd and 50 Cent went silent after the SODMG rapper released a series of tweets in which he threatened to upstage the world champion boxer turned promoter, by throwing and selling the fight all by himself.

According to TMZ, Soulja Boy's camp has reached out to Evander Holyfield to train him, in an effort to keep a demand for the event going. With Mike Tyson claiming to be in Chris Brown's corner, the inclusion of Holyfield would stoke the memory of nostalgic boxing fans, who remember their bloody 90's rivalry, in which Mike infamously bit a piece of Evander's ear off.

How likely it remains that the fight will actually take place at this point is anybody's guess. It is unclear at this point whether the move signifies a change of promotion for the event or if Holyfield is simply replacing him as trainer. In Soulja Boy's tweets he did mention that he'd throw the fight under a "Soulja Boy Promotions" banner. If this is the case, it would be the third time the fight's promotion has changed hands after it was passed off from Adrien Broner to The Money Team boss. Mayweather obviously had the exclusive Las Vegas connections to have it be a celebrity boxing event of the grandest magnitude. Tyson and Holyfield may have a couple of friends of their own who might be interested in carrying it through, but the more hands that get involved, the more promising a sell of the fight would have to be.

Two Burger King Employees Arrested For Selling Weed Out of Drive-through

RadioOnFire.com - A local burger king in New Hampshire is more than what it seems.

On January 21st, police arrested Garrett Norris, 20, for the distribution of marijuana after an undercover officer purchased some in the drive-through of a local Burger King.

According to reports, customers would pull up to the drive-through and ask if "nasty boy" was working, the suspect's nickname. Afterward, they would ask for french fries "extra crispy," which was code for purchasing marijuana. Norris would then place a designated amount of marijuana in a burger king cup and pass it along to the potential customer.

Norris was charged with sale of a controlled drug and possession of controlled drug with intent to distribute. During the investigation, Meagan Dearborn was identified as an accomplice and was charged with conspiracy to distribute drugs and unlawful possession of alcohol. Anyone up for some fast food?

The pop singer appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom with Patton on January 26th where a judge denied Thicke's request of temporary sole custody of their 6-year-old son, Julian. Thicke was not only denied that request but was also served a temporary restraining forbidding him any sort of contact with Patton, her mother, and his young son.

This comes after Thicke was accused by Patton of allegedly spanking their son excessively. Both Julian's teacher and Principal gave independent statements claiming Julian told them his father hit him "hard" and did not want to be around him.

Man Beats His Lawyer After Losing His Kids In Custody Battle

RadioOnFire.com - Video of a distraught father attacking a lawyer in what appears to be a case of retribution over a lost custody battle, has gone viral.

Neither the location of the confrontation nor the individuals involved have yet been verified by news sources, but the incident appears to have gone down within considerably close proximity to a courthouse. The lawyer is seen being approached by the angry man, who makes accusations against him, stating: "You took my kids my n***a, you did! Yea, you did," before swinging and landing fists to his face and body.

"And I got played n***a. I got played," the father is heard saying before the recipient of his blows falls to the ground. It is unclear whether the man who went on to gather himself back onto his feet had worked in defense of his attacker, or if he was the prosecutor. Minus a bruise or two, he appears to have walked away from the assault relatively unharmed.

My observation is that this attitude is probably one of the main reasons he lost the custody battle. I am sure he will win a little jail time for assault thou.

TV Icon Mary Tyler Moore Dead At 80

Worldstar's "Q" Weighed 300 Lbs at Time of Death, Was Trying to Lose Weight

A source told TMZ that the Q had been going hard in the gym prior to his death, trying to lose weight for a new MTV reality series that was set to come out in the spring. Officers responded to the 5000 block of Calvert Road around 7 a.m. for the report of a person struck by a train. They discovered an adult male victim on the tracks -- he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The MARC Camden Line was suspended for a period of time earlier in the morning. Now, one southbound train will run.

Chrisette Michele: "My Family Has Disowned Me" Over Trump Performance

Sprint Buys 33% of Tidal for $200M, Celeb's Still Running Company

Sprint announced Monday that it is buying 33 percent of the service, which is famous for being backed by rapper Jay Z.

Buying a third of Tidal will allow Sprint to offer the service, as well as artist content not available elsewhere, to all 45 million of its customers across the US. Meanwhile, the service will continue to be run by the artists who own it, although Sprint's chief executive, Marcelo Claure, will join Tidal's board.

Tidal has long trailed music-streaming rivals like Spotify and Apple Music when it comes to subscribers, while Sprint is fourth out of the four top US carriers. Still, Sprint pushing its customers toward Tidal could help increase its user numbers. Tidal already boasts high-fidelity streaming, and it has been host to exclusives such as Beyonce's "Lemonade" and Kanye West's "The Life of Pablo."

"Sprint shares our view of revolutionizing the creative industry to allow artists to connect directly with their fans and reach their fullest, shared potential," said Jay Z in a statement.

The growth in subscription music services generally, with their $10-a-month memberships, has helped the music industry in the US make money once again.

Soulja Boy Hit with Felony Gun Charges, Could Face 4-Years in Prison

RadioOnFire.com - Soulja Boy has been hit with felony gun charges. The rapper faces charges for possession of an assault weapon and possession of a firearm as a felon. The charges come from Soulja Boy's arrest over a probation violation in December, where cops found firearms in the rapper's house.

According to TMZ, one of the guns found in the rapper's house was reportedly stolen from a cop car. Another weapon found was a Mini Draco AR-15, which TMZ suggests is an assault weapon that is illegal for anyone in the state of California to possess.

Soulja could face up to 4 years in prison if convicted. The rapper was arrested in December after he threatened people online with a gun. He posted bail and was released the next day.

The SODMG rapper has recently been in the headlines over his proposed boxing match with singer Chris Brown.

Cuba Gooding Jr. to Divorce Wife of 22 Years

Protestors Break Windows of Businesses During Inauguration In D.C.

RadioOnFire.com - Nearly 200 people were arrested by the evening of Friday, January 20, as pockets of violence and vandalism broke out during protests of Donald Trump's inauguration in Washington, D.C. While the grand majority of those who took to the streets raised signs and chanted as they peacefully exercised their rights to free speech and free assembly, groups of people in black clothing were videoed branching off to cause destruction to some of the city's businesses.

Footage showed masked individuals scattering away from riot police, some of whom carried objects to toss and strike with, as they went along shattering the windows of banks and fast food restaurants. Reports tell of authorities responding to flying rocks, bricks and chunks of concrete with flash grenades. At least three officers were treated for injuries and police vehicles were damaged before the saboteurs were forced westward from their Franklin Square rallying place.

Six protesters were able to make it through to the exclusive section of seating during Trump's swearing-in, and got to unveil shirts reading R-E-S-I-S-T before standing to disrupt the ceremony, but they were quickly drowned out by a "USA!" chant from the surrounding crowd.

Blake Griffin Will Produce and Appear in "White Men Can't Jump" Remake

RadioOnFire.com - The 1992 sports comedy White Men Can't Jump is getting a reboot thanks to Kenya Barris, the creator of Black-ish, and athletes turned producers Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers and Ryan Kalil of the Carolina Panthers.

Barris will write the script for the project, which falls under his overall film deal with 20th Century Fox, and he will also act as a producer. Griffin and Kalil are producing via their Mortal Media banner, along with their partner Noah Weinstein.

The Original White Men Can't Jump, written and directed by Ron Shelton, starred Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes as two street basketball hustlers who at first try to hustle each other, then team up to earn more money.

Barris told TMZ Sports the new film is more paying homage than a remake. He also says there is a "high" chance Griffin will appear in the film and he wants Harrelson and Snipes to make an appearance as well.

Taxstone Posts $500,000 Bond, Will Be Placed on House Arrest

According to Billboard, Taxstone, born Daryl Campbell, was released after pleading not guilty to involvement in the 2016 Irving Plaza shooting that killed Troy Ave's bodyguard Ronald McPhatter.

Taxstone was arrested on Monday (January 16) on a charge of criminal possession of a gun after investigators recovered what they believed to be his DNA on the gun used in the shooting. Officials are also claiming that Taxstone owned the gun and fired the shot that killed McPhatter.

With a succession of tweets that advertise the current selling of tickets, and confirm a March date for the prospective scrap, Soulja expressed frustration over talks having momentarily stalled. He then went about getting the ball rolling to make the fight a reality, as soon as possible.
