Diamond K lists the top female rappers in no particular order.

Remy Ma generated a gang of publicity after serving 6 years of her 8 year sentence in the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women for shooting Makeeda Barnes-Joseph in the abdomen over a missing sum of $3,000. She was released in July 2014 and began recording new music with DJ/Producer DJ Khaled immediately after her release.

She is a Grammy nominated and well respected MC from Bronx, New York and is surely one of the premiere female rappers today.

Kimberly Jones aka Lil Kim is a rap legend from Brooklyn, New York. She has been blessed with 3 platinum albums and is known as the "Queen B". Kim has been embroiled in a feud with rapper fellow rapper Nicki Minaj since she gained her breakthrough success with Pink Friday.

Kim reignited the feud following the release of several songs aimed at Nicki. After the birth of her baby, the "Hardcore" hit maker, seems focused and motivated. 

Nicki Minaj is the reigning Champion in the female hip hop category, while selling more units than most male artist. Minaj has made millions through her music, tours, appearances and other endorsements. She has 2 platinum albums under her belt and shows no signs of slowing down. Her highly anticipated album , "The Pink Print" is slated to drop before the end of 2014.

The Australian born rapper Iggy Azalea has been making waves on the music scene as well.
