The public facade is over. Pastor Mason Betha and wife Twyla Betha are getting a divorce after 12 years of marriage.
Ma$e has been preaching to his congregation at El Elyon International Church and Mason Betha Ministries, about the sanctity of marriage. He's also been selling books on how to maintain a healthy union. The only problem is, his own marriage has been on the rocks since 2012, according to TMZ.
Ma$e filed for divorce in January, but withdrew the petition two weeks later. The day after her husband filed for divorce in Atlanta, Twyla filed for legal separation in San Diego.
The documents indicate the couple have been separated since 2012. That hasn't stopped Ma$e from peddling books to his parishioners on how to save their own marriages. The rapper/preacher has responded to Twyla's separation papers by filing his own. Both are seeking custody of their 2 children. Twyla also wants spousal and child support.
