RadioOnFire.com - 50 Cent and Taraji P. Henson are going at it again over “Power” and “Empire.”
The Queens rapper took to social media this week to throw a shot at “Empire’s” premier which had lower ratings than normal. “Wow well look at the bright side at least. You can eat your Trophies. I was talking to old girl but you felt like you had to respond. SMH you I love you cookie I got a new show for you BMF COMING SOON !!! #EFFENVODKA,” wrote 50 Cent.
Taraji didn’t take long to respond to Fif’s comments and took to Instagram to clarify some of the rating information. “‘Empire’ remains the No.1 scripted show on broadcast TV after premiering to a 4.1 rating in adults 18-49 Wednesday. It continues a trend of veteran shows opening well below their premiers last season (a 6.7, in this case, but in line with there they ended (it’s even with the finale),” posted Taraji. She went on to congratulate him for his success with “Power.” For the confused ppl. Do REAL research!! Loose change makes soo much UNNECESSARY NOISE. STILL LOOKING FOR THAT DAMN CENT SIGN!!! I guess it’s obsolete. AGAIN CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS BLACK MAN!!!!” Taraji also created a post to congratulate “Power” star Naturi Naughton.
RadioOnFire.com - A poster promoting an Anthony Hamilton performance that featured the phrase “All Lives Matter” was released yesterday and the singer took to Instagram to let his followers know he did not approve of it.
He further clarified that his views on police brutality and the black experience can be seen in an article he recently wrote. “Unfortunately there was a flyer put out with my name on it that I didn’t approve, an ‘all lives matter’ flyer. If you really want to know how I feel about our people and where we are via justice, there’s an article I wrote about two days ago. It’s posted. Go to the roots.com. And you can see exactly how I feel. I’m a father of six black males. So black lives do matter and I approve this message,” he said.
Hamilton was scheduled to be a part of a concert put together by Fantasia Barrino that also featured John P. Kee and Dennis Reed. The show was meant to be a peaceful protest that would help the unrest in Charlotte, North Carolina brought on by the killing of black man Keith Lamont Scott at the hands of police. The flyer for the show featured the phrase “all lives matter.” The show was later canceled after Charlotte authorities said it couldn’t be done due to the Panthers game being played in the same area.
One of the greatest golf players of all time passed away today at the age of 87. Nicknamed "The King," Palmer was widely accredited as the man who brought golf from a sport played only by the ultra-rich in exclusive country clubs to television, where he influenced everyone to play the game. During his stellar career, Arnold won seven major tournaments.
Tiger Woods on Arnold Palmer:
"Thanks Arnold for your friendship, counsel and a lot of laughs. Your philanthropy and humility are part of your legend. It's hard to imagine golf without you or anyone more important to the game than the King."
He passed away in his lifetime home in Pittsburgh, PA.
RadioOnFire.com - There's been a rumor floating around that Beanie Sigel got jumped by a member or members of Meek Mill'sDreamchasers crew, while at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia during The Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour Friday, September 23.
The 42-year old rapper was brought onstage by Diddy during the show and proclaimed, "The real king of Philly is back! We will be represented right!"
Some time after that theState Propertyboss, who is missing part of a lung as the result of a 2014 shooting, was allegedly knocked out.
The Game addressed the situation via an Instagram video on Saturday.
"So, the young bull knocked out the old head 'cause he was drawing at the jaw," the Compton rapper says in the short clip. "N*ggas is crazy, man. N*ggas went and got Beans on a song to diss me. That ain't do what n*ggas thought it was gon' do. So, y'all went back and beat the legend up, man?"
Meek responded on IG with a photo caption that read: "Stop wit the rumors! Gossip queens lol."
We live in a social media age where if something goes down and isn't caught on video or in photos, most people tend to believe it didn't happen.
However, if Beanie was knocked out by the Chasers it could be the result of him apologizing to The Game for jumping on Meek's "OOOUUU" diss song.
RadioOnFire.com - It was announced this week that 11-time NBA All-Star, Chris Bosh, has failed a pre-training camp physical, putting his future with the Miami Heat in question. The organization has in effect suspended its consent for him to resume basketball activities, announcing the news in a statement which concludes that "there is no timetable for his return."
A clause in the league's collective bargaining agreement prevents the team from disclosing specifics about a players health, but sources have confirmed his long battle with complications from blood clots to be the cause. Bosh has been out of action for all of last, and most of the prior season due to clotting, with a February 2015 CT scan revealing that clots had at one point traveled to his lungs, causing a pulmonary embolism. His struggle with the condition is a matter that he is currently documenting for a series that is being released through LeBron James' Uninterrupted.com. Bosh has released a statement through the website, stating, “Little setbacks happen, but that doesn’t change my intentions and what I want accomplish. So, I hope you continue to watch. I hope you continue to really just take in my journey and just come along with me, with the ups and the downs. So it’s a down moment right now, but everything’s going to be all right.”
It's hard to project where the Heat will opt to go from here, as Bosh is signed through the 2018-19 season, and owed $76 million up until his contract's completion. The team faces a tough decision, as, to release him could give way to another team picking him up, and if at any point he passes a league physical, the continuation of his contract would be put back on Miami's salary cap.
