RadioOnFire.com - From the Outlawz to Alicia Keys, artists who knew Tupac Shakur personally and artists who we're still school children when the legendary rapper was alive, joined to honor his memory and celebrate his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Friday night, April 7.
The honor of facilitating Pac's induction was granted to former label mate and friend Snoop Dogg, who may just get his own name up in Cleveland's music mecca some day. And along with Snoop, there came a heavy hip-hop presence to help usher in the first induction of a solo hip-hop artist into the Hall. Compton rapper YG put on a performance, as did T.I. But many artists of the genre who weren't tapped to take the microphone were also in the building.
Photos from backstage at Brooklyn's Barclays Center show locals Nas and Treach also coming together, as did Pharrell Williams to commemorate the slain rapper's prolific body of work.
