Bill Cosby is in the middle of a firestorm with women from his past coming out of the woodwork to accuse him of drugging the raping them. The accusations are serious. This could also lead to fabricated stories from opportunists seeking their 15 minutes of fame
One of the women making accusations against Cosby is Linda Joy Traitz. She claimed in a Facebook that the actor and comedian came on to her and "wouldn't take no for an answer" when she was a 19-year old waitress at a restaurant he co-owned, Café Figaro.
“He used to come in from time to time and one day he offered me a ride home … I accepted,” Traitz wrote of the alleged encounter from more than 40 years ago. "[He] drove out to the beach and opened a briefcase filled with assorted drugs and kept offering me pills ‘to relax,’ which I declined,”
Traitz says Cosby became "sexually aggressive" which caused her to "freak out" and "demand to be taken home."
Traiz doesn't outright say she was raped, but instead wanted to come forward in light of other allegations against Cosby.
Here's is the full text from her Facebook post:
Turns out Traitz has a checkered history littered with criminal activity that has kept her in and out of jail for years.
According to TMZ, she has been popped for theft, battery, ID fraud and various drug offenses.
In 2012 Traitz was released from prison after serving more than 3 years for trafficking Oxycodone, possession of a controlled substance and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.
"[This is] the latest example of people coming out of the woodwork with unsubstantiated or fabricated stories about my client." Cosby's lawyer, Marty Singer, told TMZ. "There was no briefcase of drugs and the story is absurd."
While it wouldn't be prudent to totally dismiss Traitz's claims, it does appear they're looking very shaky at this point.
