Did Remy Ma’s Interview With Angie Martinez Delay Her Release From Prison?

Contrary to earlier reports, Remy Ma has not been released from prison, MTV News has confirmed. The Bronx rapper was scheduled to be released from the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in New York on Thursday (July 31).

“Remy Smith’s tentative release date of July 31 was postponed due to a misbehavior report involving a July 21 incident for phone violations, particularly third party calling,” Linda Foglia, a public information officer for the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision told MTV News.


So, what exactly does that mean?

Every inmate has a list of 15 numbers that they’re permitted to call. If they call one of those numbers, and that person then forwards the call to a different number, it’s a violation — “third party calling.”

Though there’s no way of knowing for sure, it seems this violation stems from when Remy called into Angie Martinez’s Power 105 show on July 21.

Now, there’s no timetable on when Remy will be released, but her punishment for the incident (beyond the immediacy of missing her initial release date) should be sorted out soon. “We expect to resolve that misbehavior report sometime in the next week or so,” the Foglia said.

The rapper was sentenced to eight years behind bars in 2008 after she was found guilty on two charges of assault for a shooting.

With so many stories in the media of marriages falling apart it's refreshing to see a couple who seem to be growing closer together as the years pass.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary by announcing they were expecting their second.

"Happy Anniversary to the love of my life @therealswizzz !! And to make it even sweeter we've been blessed with another angel on the way!!," Keys wrote on Twitter. "You make me happier than I have ever known! Here's to many many more years of the best parts of life!"

"Love is life & life is love and we're so excited for another GIFT from up above," Swizz wrote. "Happy Anniversary my Goddess. 4 years of greatness & cheers to 100 plus more inshallah @aliciakeys."

The couple already have a 3-year old son named Egypt.

Remy Ma is officially free after walking out of Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in New York on Thursday, July 31.

According to Hot 97, she was greeted by her husband Papoose, who held his wife down during the six-years she was incarcerated.

Crips Gang Member Confronts Lil Wayne As He's Leaving The Supperclub In Hollywood "You Better Check In N*gga!" [Video]

Lil Wayne attended Mack Maine's birthday party at the Supperclub in Hollywood, California On Tuesday, July 29, with rumored girlfriend Christina Milian.

As the Young Money CEO and Milian made their way to their ride a Crips gang member approaches the vehicle and yells Wayne's name.

Wayne pokes his head out of the vehicle for a second to see what was going on before his security closes his car door.

Security held the guy back long enough to clear a path for Wayne's car to pull off, but he continued to talk. He identifies his set, tells the rapper to "check in," and disses Suge Knight and Birdman.

"Magic n*gga, 87 Gangster n*gga, Crip," he says while punching the car. "F*ck Suge n*gga, it's Crip. N*gga's can't say sh*t. You can call who you want to, Birdman...anybody."

Wayne, Suge and Birdman are known Bloods gang members. Weezy didn't bother to respond.

Anderson Silva Returning To The Octagon For Mega-Fight Against Nick Diaz At UFC 183 In Las Vegas. Who Will Win? [Video]

When Anderson Silva suffered a horrific leg break at UFC 168 while throwing a kick in a rematch against Chris Weidman on December 28, 2013, it appeared to be the end of his career.

Not only is Silva coming back to the sport he once dominated, he's doing so in dramatic fashion by taking on Nick Diaz at UFC 183 in Las Vegas

UFC president Dana White announced the match up Tuesday, July 29, on SportsCenter.

"The greatest of all time, Anderson Silva, is back," White said. "Also back is Nick Diaz. So we have made Anderson Silva-Nick Diaz on Jan. 31 in Las Vegas. It will be the main event, and it will be five rounds."

The fight will he held at middleweight limit of 185 pounds. Silva dominated the division for seven consecutive years until he was knocked out by Weidman at UFC 162 on July 6, 2013.

The Brazilian fighter is a master at Muay Thai, with a record of 33-6.

Diaz, a native of Stockton, California, is also making a comeback. He just signed a new 3-fight contract with the UFC following a hiatus from the sport following a loss to Georges St-Pierre in a welterweight title fight at UFC 158 on March 16, 2013.

He's one of the most exciting fighters in the sport, equally skilled on the ground and stand up. Diaz is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt.

"Nick Diaz is a very popular fighter as it is," White said. "If he comes back and beats Anderson Silva, he could fight for the title. He's right there."

Diaz has a record of 26-9.

Beyonce Spotted Apartment Hunting Without Jay Z, Fueling Rumors Of Split [Pics]

Beyonce and her daughter Blue Ivy may soon be living in a new crib without Jay Z.

Fueling rumors that her marriage to Hov is over, the singer was spotted apartment hunting in New York City. The $21.5 million, 4,045-square-foot penthouse Beyonce was checking out is in Chelsea, on the West Side of Manhattan.

Jay is normally present during real estate deals involving his family, but was nowhere to be seen.

“She was very quiet, as if she was looking on the sly,” a source told The Post. She and Jay currently live together in an 8,309-square-foot Tribeca crib.

What caused a rift between the two after six years of marriage is not clear, but reports of problems started to surface after Beyonce's sister, Solange, attacked Jay inside an elevator in May.

As we previously reported, the couple is said to be waiting for the end of their joint On The Run tour before announcing they are splitting. The tour comes to a close on September 13th in Paris, France.

Chris Brown just moved into an 8,000 square foot, 6 bedroom house in Agoura, California. Over the weekend the singer celebrated by throwing a party with celebrity friends Trey Songz, Tyga, Kendall Jenner and her 16-year old sister Kylie in attendance.

Judging from the photos posted on Kylie, Chris and Trigga's Instagram accounts it looks like everyone had a great time. Well, almost everyone.

A neighbor with an itchy trigger finger told TMZ he better not catch Chris or any of his friends on his property, or else.

"It can be the devil. I can care less," the neighbor said. "I don't care if they're having orgies. It can even be Saddam Hussein for all I care, as long as he doesn't trespass onto my property. If he does, I shoot him."

Nelly and Floyd Mayweather Jr. haven't seen eye to eye for the past couple of months. At the heart of the conflict is Shantel Jackson, Money May's former fiancee and Nelly's current girlfriend.

In May, Floyd attempted to publicly humiliate Shantel by claiming she aborted their twins behind his back. He provided an ultrasound photo as proof.

Floyd later apologized, saying he was upset because Shantel was dating his friend Nelly. The St. Louis rapper responded by calling the boxing champion a liar, saying the two have never been friends.

During a recent appearance on the ESPN show Highly Questionable with Dan Le Batard, Bomani Jones and Papi, Nelly was asked about the beef.

"I don't have a beef with Floyd Mayweather," Nelly said. "I think the whole thing is misunderstood. I try to understand where he's coming from, which is a little hard to do. But I guess it's one of those things where he is who he is. He's one of those people that I don't think likes the word no said to him. I think if anybody does that, that's what gets under his skin a little bit. I don't know, it's kind of hard talking to a guy who hasn't graduated from high school."

Sean Kingston is having bad luck with his vehicles. They're getting repossessed at a rapid rate. On Sunday, July 27, his white Lamborghini was hauled off by a tow truck driver. A source told TMZ that Kingston hadn't made a payment on the leased vehicle in six months.

In March the singer's Bentley and Mercedes Benz G-Class SUV were also hauled off for non payment.

Terrence Howard Owes $325K In Spousal Support To Ex-Wife Michelle Ghent. Claims She Blackmailed & Extorted Him Into Agreement

Terrence Howard is headed back to court in an attempt to get his spousal support payments to ex-wife, Michelle Ghent, lowered. The exact amount he's shelling out isn't known, but according to TMZ, Howard believes the amount is "ridiculous" and can't afford it.

The actor claims Ghent blackmailed and extorted him into the agreement. Since the divorce was finalized two years ago, Terrence has fallen $325,000 behind in payments. He also owes an additional $106,000 for Ghent's attorneys and accountant fees.

Howard claims he'll never be able to afford the payments to Ghent because a large chunk of his income goes to another ex-wife, Lori McCommas, for child and spousal support.

The Academy Award-nominated actor's Hollywood income goes directly to McCommas, who then cuts him a check. Howard estimates he takes home $5,878 a month.

He and Ghent were married for one year.
