Macklemore Clean Sweeps The Top Rappers at The 2014 Grammy Awards!

Beyonce and Jay Z opened up the show with a sexy performance of "Drunk In Love". The power couple smiled and hugged as she sang the suggestive lyrics to one of the most popular tunes in the country. Jay Z palmed Mrs. Carter butt before they left the stage, turning the show over to the host - rap legend LL Cool J. There was the usual mix of Pop, Rock, Rap, R&B and Heavy Metal performances. Some of the vets stayed on the stage too long for my taste but the show was entertaining.

Macklemore had a clean sweep as far as Rap goes.He recieved the Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance — as if he were the only rapper that Grammy voters had heard about this year. Do you know who else was nominated in those categories? Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem. Macklemore had a very successful year, sure, but so did a lot of very talented rappers. Go figure!
