RadioOnFire.com - Two sisters who have a large following on Instagram were arrested for cyber bullying and extorting a Nigerian billionaire. Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo of Toronto have been accused of trying to blackmail Nigerian oil marketing and power generating businessman Femi Otedola.
The sisters claimed they had proof that Otedola cheated on his wife, which they threatened to post online if they weren't paid. A private investigation revealed that the Matharoo sisters "have been responsible for the humiliation and cyberbullying of some 274 persons, mostly based in regions of Africa."
The sisters are currently being detained in Lagos, and a Global Affairs Canada employee confirmed that "Consular services are being provided to the Canadian citizens who have been detained in Lagos, Nigeria."
