Benzino & Stevie J’s Bromance Is Officially Back On

RadioOnFire.com - It looks like the feud between long time friends turned enemies, Stevie J and Benzino has come to an end. The Bromance is officially back on. Check out the face time date these two had along with the quote “Am I My Brother’s Keeper?”.

Things went left for for Stevie J and Benzino during a fall out that transpired on Love & Hip Hop. The feud went from on air to back stage and right to twitter, lasting over two years. Finally its all in the past as they express their feelings with a sappy screen shot of them face timing each other…with no shirts on.

Although the drama stemmed from Althea & Joseline it opened doors for some secrets and suppressed feelings. Emotions ran high when things got real but this should make for an interesting twist to whatever is in store for the two couples.

Rick Ross Talks Leaving Def Jam To Sign With L.A. Reid At Epic Records

RadioOnFire.com - Earlier this month, Rick Ross announced he parted ways with his longtime label home Def Jam, and the Maybach Music Group leader signed a new deal with Epic Records. Ross spoke with Billboard about teaming back up with Epic CEO L.A. Reid.

“I based my decision on reality, and reality was history with L.A. Reid. When I first came to Def Jam, in ’06, all we ever did was win, put up big numbers,” said Ross. “He always understood my vision and my creative; every time I came in his office, we sat down and discussed different approaches. We always ended up on the same page and we always won big. And at the end of the day, that’s what I based the decision on.”

Rozay’s MMG imprint is currently under the Atlantic Records umbrella. According to the “Sorry” rapper, his artist roster of Meek Mill, Wale, Stalley, and Rockie Fresh could one day join him at Epic.

“MMG is still signed to Atlantic Records, but I’m having — we most definitely having different conversations. I just had a sit down over at Atlantic,” revealed Ross. “But we always, you know, out here on the business front, we looking for what’s best, what’s going on and what’s best. We gonna stay focused on the music, but I do have my eyes open for opportunities. And L.A. is most definitely interested in bringing MMG over to Epic Records.”

The Miami native joins other rap stars Puff Daddy, Future, Travis Scott, Bobby Shmurda, and Casey Veggies at Epic Records. Part of Ross’ plans with the company includes expanding to overseas markets. He is already working on new music and plans to go on tour in the near future.

Slow Return To Normal Routines In Maryland, Other Cities After Snowstorm

RadioOnFire.com - After more than three days with life at a virtual standstill in the nation's capital and elsewhere up and down the East Coast, the cities hit hard by a massive snowstorm were getting closer to their normal routines.
In most of Maryland, road temperatures have dropped below freezing in some parts of the area early this morning making for icy patches will create hazardous driving conditions this morning.
Baltimore City:
"When you have a storm of historic proportions, the budget will be historic as well," Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said.
Baltimore government offices would be open Tuesday as the city continues to dig out from more than 2 feet of snow. Schools would remain closed.
On Maryland's Morning News, Rawlings-Blake said that the city is ramping up its snow removal efforts, renting a couple of "Snow Dragons." The machines use warm water in a whirlpool to melt the snow immediately.
The city is also getting equipment from out of state and even Canada to supplement the city's own crews.

Baltimore County:
Baltimore County Government officials say Baltimore County Public Works crews continue to workconstantly on snow removal. They go on to say "Our crews will not stop working until every road is clear. If you have a medical, fire or rescue emergency, call 911. Otherwise, we appreciate your patience; completion of this task is likely to take several days."
See More Baltimore County Information here.
Other Cities on the East Coast:
In the Washington area, the Metro subway system was scheduled to be close to fully operational Tuesday morning after it gradually lurched back into service throughout the day Monday. Trains were expected to still run less often, though.
Schools in the District of Columbia, northern Virginia and Maryland were still closed, and federal offices were closed for another day. District government employees will be back at work.
In Washington, crews spent the day concentrating on clearing roads in the downtown core, most of which were still covered in brown slush Monday. That would have caused problems for commuters, but there weren't many, with both federal and local government offices closed and many private businessesstill shuttered. The monuments and memorials on the National Mall and the Smithsonian's museums were closed, too. Some, but not all, of the museums will welcome visitors again Tuesday.
By early Monday evening, many roads downtown still had fewer lanes than usual, street parking was all but nonexistent and pedestrian walkways were treacherous. But the city's emergency managementdirector, Christopher Geldart, said major arteries were "100 percent" passable.
New York City got back up and running much faster, with subway and bus service fully operational Monday, although commuter trains were limited. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio credited better communication between the city and state - lessons learned after the fiascoes of the 2010 storm nicknamed "Snowmageddon." But New York usually gets much more snow than Washington, and it budgets accordingly.
With the District likely to blow through most if not all of its annual $6.2 million snow-removal budget, Mayor Muriel Bowser has already requested federal disaster assistance. City officials have a hard time figuring out how much to set aside for snow because the totals can vary so much - some recent winters have brought fewer than 5 inches. On average, the city gets 14.5 inches, while the storm on Friday and Saturday dumped nearly 2 feet.
Baltimore, too, was likely to spend more than it planned.
Residents in southern New Jersey were still cleaning up the mess from flooding caused by the storm, and officials warned that repairing the damage and beach erosion could be expensive.

In Baltimore City, Phase III of the snow emergency plan which banned all vehicles except emergency vehicles from city streets was lifted at 6 a.m.,though drivers are urged to stay off the roads.
Phase II of the snow emergency plan is in effect, meaning all vehicles must have snow tires, chains, or all season radials, and there's no parking on roads designated snow emergency routes.
I-70 from I-81 in Hagerstown to the Baltimore Beltway, and I-270  reopened at 7 a.m., after Governor Larry Hogan ordered the roads closed because of numerous accidents involving tractor trailers.
Roads are icy this morning.
BGE has restored power to more than 11,000 customers, and as of 6 a.m., fewer than 300 customers were without power.
Authorities in Prince George's County say a man shoveling snow has died.
Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department spokesman Mark Brady says paramedics were called to the Fort Washington area around 10 a.m. Saturday for a report of a 60-year-old man who was shoveling and appeared to have a heart attack.

Ocean City's mayor says pounding surf has damaged a fishing pier in the city. Mayor Richard Meehan said Saturday evening that the pier's easternmost section, which forms a T at the end of the pier, is gone
The storm has cancelled many church services this morning.
Archbishop William Lori says Catholics may be excused from attending Mass this weekend due to the blizzard.

Mayor de Blasio Says Donald Trump Is “Just Not Presidential” After Disgusting Shooting Comments

Many people are outraged after the latest controversy surrounding Donald Trump. The unlikely presidential candidate stated that he could shoot someone and he wouldn’t lose voters. NYC Mayor de Blasio has had enough and this time he is calling Trump out for his constant insensitivity.

New York City mayor Bill de Blasio sat down with ABC’s “This Week” where he called Trump out for his disrespectful and insensitive comments, adding that he doesn’t think Trump is primetime ready.
It’s incredibly insensitive. We had a moment in our nation’s history we’re talking about how to deal with the scourge of gun violence. And for someone who says he wants to be president to say that, it shows he’s just not presidential.
It’s incredibly arrogant, too, for him to suggest that his voters will be with him no matter what he does. You know, this is another indicator that Donald Trump is not ready for primetime.
We all know he isn’t ready for primetime. He isn’t ready to deal with real issues of the world, especially when he does not even know how to properly position his words to get his point across without being offensive to majority of the nation. He has high percentages on the polls simply because the people participating in the polls are the main voters. This is a clear indication that people need to get out and VOTE!
What do you think of these comments? Are they acceptable from a potential president? Let us know in the comments!

33 Million Under Blizzard Warning. Entire East Coast On Lock Down. People Urged To Stay Home

WASHINGTON (AP) — Millions of people awoke Saturday to heavy snow outside their doorsteps, strong winds that threatened to increase through the weekend, and largely empty roads as residents from the South to the Northeast heeded warnings to hunker down inside while a mammoth storm barreled across a large swath of the country.

The worst of the blizzard was yet to come, with strong winds and heavy snow expected to produce "life-threatening blizzard conditions" throughout Saturday, according to the National Weather Service's website. Forecasters also predicted up to a half-inch of ice accumulation in the Carolinas, and potentially serious coastal flooding in the mid-Atlantic.

Snow had started falling Friday, and Kentucky felt quite a brunt from that, with 18 inches in some areas. Drivers who opted to take to the roads were stranded on a long stretch of Interstate 75 south of Lexington because of a string of crashes and blowing snow, state police and witnesses said. The road was closed overnight, but reopened early Saturday morning, with traffic moving slowly, said Buddy Rogers, spokesman for Kentucky Emergency Management. It was unclear how many were stuck. Crews had been making wellness checks; passing out snacks, fuel and water; and trying to move cars one by one. Some had been stranded since Friday afternoon, and emergency shelters had opened.

Motorists also were reported stranded along pockets of the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Allegheny Mountain Tunnel in Somerset County. The National Guard was called to help. Some travelers were stuck overnight, said Pennsylvania Turnpike spokesman Carl DeFebo.

According to the National Weather Service's website early Saturday, 18 inches of snow already had fallen on Ulysses in eastern Kentucky, while 16 inches fell in Beattyville. Between 14 inches to 15.5 inches had fallen in at other locations across Kentucky, including Frenchburg, Mount Vernon, Eglon and Lancer.
Other states that recorded snowfall amounts greater than 6 inches included Delaware, Georgia, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia. Various locations in Georgia and Alabama received between 1 and 3.5 inches of snow.
One of the unlucky travelers stranded by the storm was Jennifer Bremer of Raleigh, North Carolina. Bremer flew into Chicago on Thursday morning, carrying only a briefcase, for what she thought would be less than a day of meetings. Her flight home was canceled Thursday night, and then again Friday.
"I have my computer, my phone and a really good book, but no clothing," Bremer said as she eyed flight boards at O'Hare International Airport on Friday. "I have a travel agent right now trying to get creative. I'm waiting on a phone call from her. ... I'm trying to get somewhere near the East Coast where I can drive in tonight or early tomorrow morning."
Not so unhappy to be stranded were passengers on a cruise ship that was supposed to return to the port of Baltimore from the Bahamas on Sunday. The arrival has now been delayed until at least Monday because of the storm.
"I was not totally surprised and, frankly, happy to be delayed," Meg Ryan, one of the passengers aboard the Royal Caribbean International's Grandeur of the Seas, wrote in an email to The Associated Press.
"First, it is an extra day of vacation, but more importantly, safety comes first and travel Sunday would be difficult, if not impossible."
Forecasters said as much as 2 feet or more of snowfall was forecast for Baltimore and Washington, and nearly as much for Philadelphia.

Boxing: Bob Arum Claims He Paid J. Prince $600K To Save Floyd Mayweather From Getting Hurt

RadioOnFire.com - Bob Arum loves to hear himself talk and I am sure a large majority of the things that come out of his mouth are pure bs. With that said, this story feels pretty damn genuine, although I wouldn’t be surprised if Floyd had a different take on it. Arum was on ESPN’s “Highly Questionable” yesterday where he talked about many things but none more interesting as this.

Rap-A-Lot records CEO J.Prince has had a reputation for decades that he is not to be played with. He handles his business and doesn’t like games when it comes to money. Once upon a time he was Floyd’s manager before alot of the glamour and glitz that you know him for now.

Prince’s contract with Floyd was about to run out and he was trying to coordinate with Bob Arum to schedule his next fight AFTER the contract ran out, likely because he didn’t want to pay him and he thought that would be the way around it.

Well according to Arum, Floyd severely underestimated who he was dealing with as J.Price sent people to Arum’s gym to beat down a few associates of Mayweather as a warning. It didn’t take long after that for Floyd to run to Arum and tell him he needs to pay Price to make him go away and just like that he wrote him a check for $600,000! Now as you know Arum & Floyd these days are far from friends so I am sure he was trying to embarrass him a little bit with this story.

2015 Marked The 1st Time In History That Albums 18 Years Or Older Outsold New Releases

(Thump2015 marked the first time in history that current music releases were outsold by "catalogue album sales"—a term that refers to any release that is at least 18 months old. To put this in context, just ten years ago current music sales outpaced catalogue music by over 150 million albums.
That information, reported by Music Business Worldwide, comes from a year-end report by Nielsen, the data company most famous for their SoundScan music-sales statistics that inform the Billboard charts. However, this data pertains solely to albums—either physical or digital—and does not include streaming. So, whether the Nielsen report shows a real declining sales trend for new artists, or merely that we've shifted away from albums entirely (the argument that young people are more inclined to stream rather than purchase music seems plausible), is shocking, though perhaps not entirely unexpected.

Stacey Dash: "BET Lies To American Black People By Telling Them That The Rest Of America Is Racist"

Stacey Dash is still dumping on BET.
Earlier this week she appeared on Fox News' "Outnumbered" where she was asked how she felt about Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett-Smith's decision to not attend this year's Oscar Awards.
Part of Dash's answer included calling for Black Entertainment Television to be abolished.
"I think it's ridiculous," she said. "Because we have to make up our minds, either we want to have segregation or integration. If we don’t want segregation then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the [NAACP] Image Awards, where you are only awarded if you are black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms, its a double standard. Just like there shouldn't be a Black History Month. We're Americans, period. That's it"
BET fired back via Twitter.
Dash has responded in a post on her blog Thursday, January 21. She accuses the network of purposely misleading African Americans to create a racial divide.
Read what she had to say below.
Ever since I said THIS on Fox yesterday, Black Entertainment Television has been throwing shade.
They reminded me — and the rest of America — that I appeared on a show called The Game, which appeared on BET.
Well, here’s the thing.  Thank you for reminding me, since most people have never heard of that show.
Why?  It’s on BET.
Quick.  Name the top shows on BET.
Drawing a blank?
I think I’ve made my point.
I’m thankful for all of the acting jobs I’ve had.  But I look forward to the day when people don’t self-segregate based on skin color, while loudly complaining about a segregated society.
That might be hard for the people at BET to understand, especially after I read this quote from a BET exec about the Oscars:
“It would be great if the Oscar nominees represented even closely the percentage of moviegoers who are of different ethnicities, but they don’t,” said Stephen Hill.
Wow.  Apparently, Mr. Hill doesn’t understand what an Oscar is.
Oscars are awarded to the actors and actresses who excel…  not the audience.
What’s next?  Awarding $1 million to the guy sitting in his pajamas on the couch watching Survivor?  Giving a blue ribbon to the kid who stayed home from field day?  Giving a Nobel Peace Prize to a President who escalated wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?
No, that would be unreasonable.
My problem goes back to the notion that every area of life needs to break down exactly according to demographic ratios except in those areas in which black people have decided they want to have their own space.  I don’t have a problem with black people having their own space.  I have a problem with the folks at BET absolutely freaking out when other institutions don’t match up to what they think is best.  At National Review, they put it this way:
From their undisputed cultural heights, progressives have sold the American people on a fantasy that says America is racist unless every demographic group enjoys the benefits of its life and shares its burdens in exact proportion to their numbers — except, of course, when it comes to areas of the culture dominated by African-Americans.
The article goes on to say that “It’s perfectly fine for hip-hop or jazz to be overwhelmingly black, but…”  Lord help the institution that doesn’t measure up to the standards of “diversity” they deem is acceptable.
BET lies to American black people by telling them that the rest of America is racist, so stick close to your own kind. Anything that promotes segregation is bad!
And they’re absolutely mortified that someone like me — an independent-thinking black woman — dares call their bluff.
Welp...

Stacy Dash Fires Back At BET For Calling Her Out.

RadioOnFire.com - Stacy Dash has been the target of social media for about a week now. Her comments on eliminating BET and Black History Month as a whole has sparked huge conversation. BET went in on Dash for her comment by asking her if they could get their checks back for her being a guest on one of their shows.

Dash says that the shade BET threw at her was very unnecessary. They showed a picture of Dash on the show “The Game” which airs on BET. Dash took to the internet to write a response back to BET. She started off the cypher by saying,

“They reminded me — and the rest of America — that I appeared on a show called ‘The Game,’ which appeared on BET,” Dash wrote. “Well, here’s the thing. Thank you for reminding me, since most people have never heard of that show. Why? It’s on BET.”

Ummmmmm…..Miss Dash, did you notice that “The Game” started off on CW11 as a hit show for three seasons before it made it to BET? Might wanna do your research before you make a public statement on something.

Dash went on to say she is “thankful for all of the acting jobs I’ve had [and can’t wait for] when people don’t self-segregate based on skin color, while loudly complaining about a segregated society.”

She then said,
“My problem goes back to the notion that every area of life needs to break down exactly according to demographic ratios except in those areas in which black people have decided they want to have their own space,” She wrote. “I don’t have a problem with black people having their own space. I have a problem with the folks at BET absolutely freaking out when other institutions don’t match up to what they think is best.”
