Chris Brown was about to board a private jet to leave the Philippines on Wednesday, July 22, when authorities prevented him from doing so.
The singer had just performed in the Southeast Asian country and was headed to Hong Kong for another concert, when he was stopped because of an immigration lookout bulletin.
According to CNN, the Philippine Department of Justice issued the order because of a contract dispute.
Promoters claim the 26-year old superstar owes them money for bailing on a concert last New Year's Eve.
Brown will have to get a clearance certificate approved by the Department of Justice before being allowed to leave.
