NFL: Michael Sam Says There Are Currently Many Gay Players In The NFL, Including Some Famous Stars

RadioOnFire.com - During an appearance at an event in Dallas last night, Sam declined to offer a number, but said there were many players who reached out to him last offseason to thank him.

“I am not the only gay person in the NFL,” Sam said, via Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “I’m just saying there is a lot of us. I respect the players that did reach out to me and had the courage to tell me that they were also gay, but they do not have the same courage as I do to come out before I even played a down in the NFL.

“Was it a risky move? Yes. But at that moment, the reason why I came out is I thought it wasn’t going to be a big deal. Maybe I was naive. Maybe I thought it was 2014, and people will understand that there’s gay NFL players. There’s gay athletes everywhere. But I was clearly wrong. It was a huge deal.

“The players who have reached out to me and told me about their sexual orientation, it just means a lot. But I will never say anything about who they are, what teams they are [on]. I’m just saying there’s some famous people, and I’m not the only one.”

Whoever these players are, they have to be very trusting to allow Sam to know a secret like that about them. I wonder if any of them regret talking to him about it.

MLB: Evelyn Lozada Gets New Reality Show With Fiancé Carl Crawford & Her Daughter Shaniece

RadioOnFire.com - Reality TV star Evelyn Lozada is finally returning to the small screen in a new TV show with her MLB fiancé Carl Crawford and her hot daughter Shaniece. Lozada spent five seasons on “Basketball Wives” before taking a hiatus from reality, but now she’s hooked up with Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network as star and executive producer of “Evelyn” (working title).

Sources connected to the show tell TMZ Sports, the series will focus on Evelyn’s marriage — and raising their 1-year-old son while already being a parent to a smokin’ hot 21-year-old daughter, Shaniece.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Could Earn $180 Million For Fight With Manny Pacquiao

LAS VEGAS (Associated Press) — The first ticket has yet to be sold, but the richest fight in boxing history is getting richer by the day.



New estimates show Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s payoff for fighting Manny Pacquiao could easily be $180 million, up substantially from earlier predictions of $120 million. Pacquiao gets the short end of the purse, but even that is expected to be well over $100 million by the time everything is tallied up.

The money is staggering, though not exactly unexpected. Five years of waiting seem to have only piqued the public's demand for the one fight even casual fans of the sport want to see.



"For whatever it's worth, the buildup over these years has certainly enhanced the fight," promoter Bob Arum. "Everybody knows about it now, even people who don't follow boxing. Plus we have a good economy, unlike in 2009 when people were out of work and didn't have the money to spend."



Fans will certainly have to pay a price to see the May 2 welterweight title bout, especially those lucky enough to score a ticket inside the MGM Grand arena itself. Ticket prices there range from $1,500 in the upper deck to $7,500 at ringside — and only a small percentage of the tickets will actually be put on public sale.

Arum said Tuesday the gate at the MGM alone will be more than $72 million, obliterating the previous live gate record of $20 million in Nevada set by Mayweather's 2013 fight with Canelo Alvarez. Though the MGM will provide some tickets for its biggest gamblers, Arum said even the celebrities who can normally get free tickets to sit ringside will have to pay full fare for the fight — if they can get their hands on tickets at all.



Promoters announced a deal Tuesday with Sky Sports to televise the fight on pay-per-view in England and parts of Europe, part of another $35 million expected to come in from foreign rights. Add in another $10 million in sponsorships — Tecate beer will be the main sponsor — and the fight will gross more than $100 million before a single home in North America buys the pay-per-view.



Less certain is how many people will spend what is expected to be $100 or so for the pay-per-view in the U.S., but that could easily break records, too. Mayweather's 2007 fight with Oscar De La Hoya currently tops the charts with 2.44 million buys, but many think Mayweather-Pacquiao could do more than 3 million homes despite softness in the pay-per-view market in the last few years.

Judge Frees Chris Brown From Probation Stemming From 2009 Rihanna Assault

Prosecutors In Suge Knight Case Want Bail Set At $25 Million!!

“Prolific and unrepentant criminal”, and led a “shameless life of crime” that’s what Prosecutor Cynthia Barnes said about Suge Knight regarding his murder case. The prosecution wants to set his bail at $25 million! She is NOT playing at all, she has filed out tons of paperwork to back up her claim and it will be heard in court on Friday morning.

Barnes mentioned 31 incidents in the last 10 years that show Suge being very violent. In addition to that, she has submitted over 24 police reports where Suge was connected to robbery, assault, extortion, battery and witness intimidation. According to Barnes, since 2002, he allegedly laundered well over $10 million dollars. Along with those claims she stated that Suge was angry as he entered Tam’s burger parking, driving over and killing Terry Carter. Well DAYUUUM! Let’s see if he can get out of this one!

NFL: Ex-49er Ray McDonald Plans to Sue the Woman Who Accused Him of Rape

When a woman falsely accuses a man of rape she not only ruins his life, she also makes it more difficult for women who are actual victims. A rape accusation is something that sticks with you even if you aren’t charged. Ray McDonald was accused of rape in December, and the 49ers cut him immediately after news broke that police were investigating. But McDonald has not been charged, and now he plans to sue his accuser, saying she made a false claim and that it has put his football career in jeopardy.



McDonald’s lawyer told the San Jose Mercury News that video from McDonald’s home-surveillance system show the woman having “clearly consensual” sex with McDonald, and that the rape allegation was false. Yet the allegation led the 49ers to release McDonald, and no other team has shown interest in signing him. McDonald and his lawyer released a statement saying they hope the lawsuit can vindicate him and get his NFL career back on track.

“In the eyes of the NFL teams, the unresolved threat of charges being filed against him, even though factually unfounded, continues to present a roadblock to this remarkable athlete being able to move forward in his career,” according to the statement. “This lawsuit is intended to vindicate him . . . and return his good name. . . . False accusations such as this not only harm the person who was subjected to the accusation, but they also harm women generally, causing unwarranted suspicion in cases where an individual is rightfully accused of a sexual crime.”

Baby Girl Is Found Dead The Same Day Parents Were Going On ‘Maury’ For Paternity Test!

RadioOnFire.com - A baby girl is found dead on the same day that her parents from Ohio were planning to go on ‘Maury’ for a DNA paternity test. Read more on the story below!


According to reports, the parents were scheduled to tape an episode of Maury Povich’s ‘Maury Show’ the day their baby was found dead. The baby girl who was only 8-months-old died in a Connecticut hotel room just hours before her parents were going to appear on ‘The Maury Show’ in order to determine the paternity. The family, from Ohio, had flown to Stamford Connecticut to tape an episode that would reveal the father of the baby by a DNA test. The 8-month-old died after she was wedged between the wall and mattress in the hotel. Her 27-year-old mother woke up to find the horrible discovery of her baby.

The father, who is 25, was in the room as well and he backed up the mother’s story. A 2-year-old boy who belonged to the couple was also present in the room and he was not harmed. Police say that medical examiners have yet to determine a cause of death of the baby but an autopsy ruled out neglect, physical abuse and sexual abuse.

Hip Hop DX reports Ye saying he definitely felt that and admits he was getting a little comfortable:

Mhmm…OK! That’s definitely a follow through since he’s dropped “Wolves,” “All Day” and“Awesome” just in the last couple weeks. But beyond that Kanye Says Drake Is Healthy Competition and is actually inspiring Yeezy season to get back to “shooting in the gym.”

Musically, Kanye says Drake has been inspiring his recent resurgence. “I look at Drake as an amazing sparring partner,” he says during the interview. “He’s someone who’s like, ‘C’mon man. Get back up, man, bow. Get back up. What’s up? What’s up bro? What you doing?'”

Kanye Says Drake Is Healthy Competition but we’re also not too far removed from their list of collabos so far. Earlier this month we saw the release of the “Blessings” video, not to mention Drizzy’s Irving Plaza show where he brought out Ye and covered “Only One” (awww). Of course the co-cover isn’t new to the mega-stars, last year saw Yeezy cover an entire set of Drake songs in concert.

Darrelle Revis Returns To The Jets, More Than $40 Million Guaranteed

Darrelle Revis announced he agreed to terms to return to the New York Jets. Revis was asking for more than $40 million guaranteed and once details are announced the number from the Jets is expected to be that or higher. The terms of the contract expect to be for three years. Fresh off a Super Bowl win, Revis gives hope to the Jets again as they have an automatic advantage against the best wide receivers and quarterbacks in the league. The Patriots decided they didn’t want to pay him $20 million for one year, so they released him with hopes of bringing him back, but they knew the Jets were going to battle them and they won. The balance of power in the AFC East may finally be shifting towards other teams. This deal was easily the most anticipated of the entire free agency period.

Singer Angie Stone Arrested After Knocking Her Daughter's Front Tooth Out With A Metal Stand

RadioOnFire.com - Angie Stone has been charged with domestic aggravated assault after a brawl with her 30-year old daughter, Diamond.


TMZ reports that on Monday, March 9, the 53-year old singer got into a physical altercation with Diamond because she didn't believe her daughter cleaned up after her children.

 

“Ms. Diamond Stone then went on to state that Ms. Angie Stone started (getting) in her face, telling her she needed to leave because she is tired (of) her,” police said in the report, via the Atlanta Constitution Journal. “Ms. Diamond Stone then stated her and Ms. Angie Stone started to argue, and that’s when a physical altercation started to occur.



During the fight Stone picked up a a metal stand and knocked out one of Diamond's front teeth. Stone told police she only picked up the stand to defend herself and didn't mean to hit her daughter in the mouth with it.

“Once she realized this,” police said in the report, “she quickly put the stand down and attempted to get away from Ms. Diamond Stone. Ms. Angie Stone then stated while she tried to get away, Ms. Diamond Stone continued to come after her as if to strike her again but stated that Ms. Blondy Chisolm came to break up the fight.



Both were arrested and taken to DeKalb County Police Department headquarters in Georgia for questioning. Diamond was later released without being charged. Stone is still being held.

NFL Star RB Chris Johnson Shot During Drive-By In Orlando, Friend Killed

RadioOnFire.com - NFL running back Chris Johnson is currently hospitalized in stable condition after being shot while sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle in Orlando, Florida on Sunday morning, March 8.


According to ESPN, the jeep Johnson was riding in was at a red light around 4:00 this morning when another vehicle pulled alongside it and started firing. Johnson was hit in the arm. The driver of the vehicle, Dreekius Oricko Johnson, 28, was killed. A second passenger, Reggie Johnson, 29, was shot in the hand, leg and shoulder. He is listed in stable condition.

Chris, 29, spent his first 6 years in the NFL playing for the Tennessee Titans after they drafted him with the 24th pick in the first round of the 2008 draft. In 2014 he played for the New York Jets, who let him go after one season.

"When the driver got shot, Chris was leaning back in his seat texting like he always does. If he wasn't leaning back that shot would have killed him," a source close to Chris told TMZ Sports. "It wasn't his time."

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Chris and everyone impacted by this tragic event," the Jets said in a statement.

The Orange County sheriff's department has opened a homicide investigation into the incident.

[Baltimore, MD] ---- The Priceless Gown Project returns to Baltimore for the 11th year to continue granting prom dreams for area High School Junior and Senior girls on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 9am to 2pm at the Baltimore Inner Harbor Marriott At Camden Yards - 110 South Eutaw Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. Admission to the event is free and on a first come – first served basis. Early arrival is suggested due to the limited quantity and sizes. A concentration for this year’s event is “Domestic Violence” – recognizing the behavior and implementing preventive measures.


The Priceless Gown Project services over 250 girls each year in Baltimore City. It is a unique shopping experience where students will have time to review a large inventory of new and gently used gowns, as well as try on gowns in the dressing room area and depart with the gown of their choice for absolutely no cost. Local MD and DC High School Juniors and Seniors with proof of current school enrollment are eligible to attend the Priceless Gown Project Boutique. Students must present a valid school ID card, a letter from their principal or guidance counselor, or current report card to prove current enrollment in high school. The Priceless Gown Project currently relies on the honesty of the students to verify financial need. A satisfied student affirms that “the Priceless Gown Project is phenomenal; they really helped me find an amazing gown to wear”.
