Drake x Future & Mac Miller’s First Week Sales + Fetty Wap’s Sales Projections
Unsurprisingly, Drake and Future have arrived at the top of the charts with the release of their surprise mixtape, What A Time To Be Alive. The project moved a whopping 375k units since its release last Sunday, making the second number one album for both guys this year. Congrats!
Elsewhere on the charts, Mac Miller also had a strong debut in the top 5. The Pittsburgh rapper came in at number 4 with 87k units of GO:OD AM. Solid!
Looking forward to next week, our guy Fetty Wap’s sales projections are in, and he’s on pace to move between 110k and 115k units of his debut, self-titled album! However, these numbers came in before he made national headlines because of his bike accident, so there is a large possibility that may have positively impacted sales and these numbers could inflate. On Final Day Of U.S. Trip Pope Meets With Sex-Abuse Victims, Promises Accountability
Pope Francis met with victims of child-molesting priests Sunday on the final day of his U.S. visit and promised to hold accountable those responsible for the scandal, delivering a powerful warning to American bishops accused of covering up for pedophiles instead of reporting them to police.
The pontiff disclosed the gesture of reconciliation at the start of a meeting with U.S. bishops gathered in Philadelphia for a big rally on Catholic families.
Francis praised the victims as "true heralds of mercy" who deserve the church's gratitude and said sex abuse in the church can no longer be kept a secret. He promised to "zealously" protect young people and see that "all those responsible are held accountable."
Francis has agreed to create a new Vatican tribunal to prosecute bishops who failed to protect their flock by covering up for pedophile priests.
Victims' advisory groups had complained earlier in the week that Francis had neglected to address their plight when he congratulated bishops for their "courageous" and generous response to the scandal.
On Sunday, he directed his attention to the victims in a city hit hard by the scandal. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has been the subject of repeated grand jury investigations, and a monsignor was convicted of endangering children by not removing pedophile priests.
Later Sunday, Francis was scheduled to visit a prison and celebrate a final Mass on U.S. soil on Philadelphia's grandest boulevard, the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
Organizers said they expected 1 million people to turn out. But there were fears that the extraordinary security - including airport-style bag searches, crowd-control cattle chutes and blocked-off streets - would scare away many.
Roman Catholics from across the country and around the world began making the trek to the Mass hours ahead, crossing bridges on foot and packing subway cars.
At Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, Francis planned to visit with 100 inmates, including suspected killers, rapists and mobsters. He was expected to offer them words of hope, forgiveness and redemption.
"His mission is the marginalized, the forgotten," prison spokeswoman Shawn Hawes said. "From our understanding, he wants those who are in custody to know that they are not forgotten and they can be redeemed."
Prison ministry has been a hallmark of Francis' pontificate. He meets often with inmates and has washed prisoners' feet during pre-Easter rituals. He opposes the death penalty in all circumstances and has called for the abolition of life imprisonment and solitary confinement.
On Saturday night, Francis was cheered by tens of thousands at a music-and-prayer festival on the Parkway, waving to the crowd in his open-air popemobile. Performers included Aretha Franklin and Andrea Bocelli.
He called families a "factory of hope," even with their imperfections.

At the 2015 Oscars Zendaya Coleman graced the red carpet in an elegant white gown and a fresh set of faux locs setting off fashion police everywhere. More specifically her look set off the host of E!’s hit tv show ‘Fashion Police,’ Giuliana Rancic who said Zendaya looked like she smells like “patchouli oil or weed,” all because of her locs. Today, Zendaya got the last laugh!

House Speaker John Boehner Announces Resignation
With Congress in turmoil, House Speaker John Boehner abruptly informed fellow Republicans on Friday that he would resign from Congress at the end of October, stepping aside in the face of hardline conservative opposition that threatens an institutional crisis.
The 13-term Ohio Republican, second in line to the presidency, shocked his GOP caucus Friday morning when he announced his decision in a closed-door session. It came one day after a high point of Boehner's congressional career, a historic speech by Pope Francis to Congress at Boehner's request.
A constant focus of conservatives' complaints, Boehner was facing the threat of a floor vote on whether he could stay on as speaker, a formal challenge that hasn't happened in over 100 years. That was being pushed by tea partyers convinced Boehner wasn't fighting hard enough to strip Planned Parenthood of government funds, even though doing so risked a government shutdown next week.
"It's become clear to me that this prolonged leadership turmoil would do irreparable harm to the institution," Boehner told a news conference several hours after making the announcement to his rank and file. "There was never any doubt I could survive the vote, but I didn't want my members to go through this, I didn't want this institution to go through this."
Boehner said he had planned all along to announce in November that he was resigning at the end of this year, but had not said so publicly. After emotional moments Thursday at the pope's side, he woke up Friday morning and decided now was the time.

NFL: Terrell Owens is Trying to Convince the Cowboys to Give Him Another Chance
At 41-years old and five years removed from the game, Terrell Owens became eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year but he’s not looking forward to putting on that gold jacket, instead of he wants to lace up his cleats and get back on the field.
Injuries have costed the Dallas Cowboys to lose their star wide receiver Dez Bryant and starting quarterback Tony Romo. They could really use some help on the offensive end and Terrell Owens seems to think he is the answer.
Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Owens said his agent has talked with the Cowboys about an opportunity despite a “fractured” relationship with he and Jason Witten/Tony Romo.
“We all know what happened when I was there. There were some things said where it kind of may have fractured the relationship between myself and Witten and Romo,” Owens said. “Again, time has passed and hopefully they know I’ve moved on beyond that and hopefully they have. For me, it’s all about giving myself an opportunity. That’s all I really ever wanted.”“I still probably should be playing,” Owens said. “For me, if an opportunity arises then I’ll entertain it. And why wouldn’t I want to go back somewhere where I felt at home. I know the owner. I loved my time in Dallas.”

White House Staffer Dies In Bicycle Crash During Charity Event In Howard County
A White House staffer is dead after a bicycle crash in Maryland's Howard County.
Police say it happened Saturday afternoon on Old Frederick Road near Twin Arch Road in Mt. Airy. Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that 34-year-old Jacob Thomas Brewer of Alexandria, Virginia, was riding his bike westbound Old Frederick Road when he entered a sharp curve and lost control. Police say Brewer crossed into the eastbound lanes of the roadway where the driver of a 2008 Honda Pilot struck him.
Police say Brewer was pronounced dead at the scene. Brewer worked in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy as a senior adviser to the U.S. Chief Technology Officer.

Brewer and his wife Mary Katherine have a daughter together and another baby on the way. She shared this message on Instagram.
We lost our Jake yesterday, and I lost part of my heart and the father of my sweet babies. I don't have to tell most of you how wonderful he was. It was self-evident. His life was his testimony, and it was powerful and tender and fierce, with an ever-present twinkle in the eye. I will miss him forever, even more than I can know right now. No arms can be her father's, but my daughter is surrounded by her very favorite people and all the hugs she could imagine. This will change us, but with prayer and love and the strength that is their companion, we can hope our heartache is not in vain-- that it will change us and the world in beautiful ways, just as he did. If that sounds too optimistic at this time, it's because it is. But there was no thought too optimistic for Jake, so take it and run with it. I will strive and pray not to feel I was cheated of many years with him, but cherish the gift of the years I had. In a life where nothing is guaranteed, Jake made the absolute, ever-lovin' most of his time with all of us. This is a family picture we took a couple weeks ago. It was taken because Jake, as always, was ready with a camera and his immense talent. All four members of our little, growing family are in it. I can never be without him because these babies are half him. They are made of some of the strongest, kindest stuff God had to offer this world. Please pray that he can see us and we'll all make him proud. God, I love him. Psalm 34:18, Philippians 1:3

Johnny Manziel Will Start Against The Titans Following Season Opener Flop
Johnny “Football” Manziel caused a lot of ruckus as a star football player who had his own idea of what “the rules” are. Manziel was in headlines for more social reason than athletic ones, and people began to question how serious he was taking his position as a leader on his college team.
Now, Manziel is in the NFL and making headlines for being overrated.
Throughout his college career Manziel found himself in trouble more often than not. In 2012, he was arrested and charged with three misdemeanors. The next year, he would leave early from the “Manning Passing Academy” allegedly for having more fun off the field than not. Following a rough 2013, Manziel reportedly checked himself into a rehab center for alcohol addiction in February 2015.
During the 2014 season, Johnny Football played in only five games with the Cleveland Browns, who traded up and drafted him as the 22nd overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. While some were apprehensive due to his track record outside of football, Manziel was determined to prove that he belongs in the NFL.
The young stud did not start as a rookie, and actually did not see much playing time as he completed 18-35 passes for 176 yards.
Following his mediocre performance against the Jets last week, Manziel will, in fact be starting this week against the Tenessee Titans. While playing just a little more than half of the game, Manziel threw his first NFL career touchdown pass, a 54-yard ball to wide receiver, Travis Benjamin.
Manziel also had three turnovers in the second half.
The Jets won 31-10.
Since last Sunday’s performance, critics claim that the young QB is overrated, something that is not news to most.
Offensive coordinator John DeFilippo, stood up for his QB and said,
“Johnny has tremendous physical attributes, tremendous physical attributes we just have to keep grooming him…”
Manziel made a comment on receiving the starting position for this week and said,
“It’s really go into this game, do my best, and from there on, we’ll see what happens.”
The Browns will face the Titans Sunday afternoon at one.

Republican Presidential Hopefuls Prepare to Attack Trump In Next Debate
In the first Republican presidential debate, most candidates took a hands-off approach to Donald Trump and hoped the brash billionaire would hurt himself.
Instead, he only got stronger.
Trump's unexpected durability has led some of his rivals to shift their strategy for Wednesday's second showdown. Now their goal is to engage Trump, without inflicting any damage on their own campaigns.
The change reflects an evolution in the way Trump is viewed within the Republican Party. No longer dismissed as a summer fling for frustrated voters, Republicans increasingly see Trump as a candidate who could remain atop the field for months and win some early states.
"He's in complete, total control of the political battle space," said Steve Schmidt, a top strategist for Sen. John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign.
Trump will be standing at center stage when the 11 candidates face off at the CNN-sponsored debate at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. The lineup is the same as last month's opening debate, with one notable addition: former Hewlett-Packard chief executive Carly Fiorina, the only woman in the GOP field.
It's believed to be the largest debate field in modern political history, underscoring just how jumbled the fight for the Republican nomination remains with five months to go before the Iowa caucuses.
Trump heads into the second debate facing a fresh challenge from Ben Carson, a soft-spoken retired neurosurgeon who is climbing in recent polls. With his candidacy on the rise, Carson is likely to face heightened scrutiny from debate moderators.
But the biggest contrast in the GOP field - and the one that typifies the broader battle within the party - continues between Trump and Jeb Bush, the wonky former Florida governor. Bush has become one of Trump's favorite targets and has been visibly irritated by his jabs, particularly the reality star's depiction of him as a "low energy" candidate.

Grand Jury Indicts Mother In Death Of Child Found In Swing
A Maryland woman who was found pushing her dead son in a playground swing earlier this year has been indicted and charged with manslaughter and child abuse, authorities announced Monday.
The Charles County State's Attorney's Office announced that Romechia Simms, 24, was arrested Saturday and faced an arraignment Monday. The indictment charges her with manslaughter, first-degree child abuse and child neglect.
Simms placed her 3-year-old son, Ji'Aire Donnell Lee, on the swing the morning of May 20 and he stayed there until he was found dead two days later, county sheriff's office spokeswoman Diane Richardson said in May. The mother was still pushing the swing.
Sheriff's deputies went to the park about 7 a.m. on May 22 after being called to check on the welfare of the woman and child, Richardson said. The officers went to remove the boy from the swing and give him first aid, but "it was instantaneously clear the child was dead," she said. There were no signs of trauma to his body. Simms was taken to a hospital for an evaluation.
A medical examiner later ruled the boy died of dehydration and low body temperature. His death was ruled a homicide.
May 21 was cold for late May, Richardson said, "rather chilly and it drizzled all night."
Family members have said Simms was suffering from mental illness. She was hospitalized after the death of her son.
One side of the park is bordered by woods in La Plata, a town about 30 miles southeast of Washington, with a population of about 8,700, according to the town's website. The park is in view of a few houses.
Court records in Charles County show a history of domestic disputes between Simms and her mother, Vontasha Simms.
In 2011 and 2012, Romechia Simms was charged with second-degree assault following altercations with her mother, including one in which an officer said that Romechia Simms pulled a dreadlock from her mother's head. In neither case, though, was she found guilty.
In the 2011 case, Romechia Simms wrote a letter to the court explaining the stress she was under.
"Between being a mom, work and school I have a load on my hands," she wrote.
She told court officers she was working as a barista in Starbucks and attending classes at Bowie State University. In 2013, Vontasha Simms sought a peace order requiring her daughter to stay away from her. In those papers, it appears that Vontasha Simms also considered seeking custody of Ji'Aire Lee, but scratched out the paperwork that would have formalized the request.
In those papers, Vontasha wrote that her daughter "attacked me before jumping on me and hitting me while I was sitting on my bed. ... She was very angry and out of control."
The family had been living at the Deluxe Inn motel in La Plata, not far from the park, for several weeks. Residents and a housekeeper described constant fighting between the grandmother and mother, and said the boy seemed to be mistreated at times.

NFL: Dolphins’ Dion Sims Motionless After Suffering Concussion
The plague of the NFL is hitting hard to start the first Sunday of the season. Dion Sims of the Dolhpins was diving for a touchdown pass and ended up hitting his head and ultimately suffered a concussion. Sims apparently landed awkwardly and was motionless after the contact with the field.
This is probably one of the more scarier injuries of the day so far. In this same game,DeSean Jackson left the game after the second drive when he suffered a hamstring injury. Sims was diving for a touch down pass when he landed awkwardly and hit his head on the field. In the video below, you can watch the play and see how hard he hit the field, sliding out of bounds.
NFL: DeSean Jackson Goes Down In First Game Against Dolphins
The first sunday of the NFL season has gone underway and as expected, some injuries have followed along with the start of the season as well. Washington’s Desean ‘Jaccpot’ Jackson is done for the day after suffering a hamstring injury.
Definitely a sour note to start the season for the Washington organization. Washington has been in the headlines throughout the pre-season for their decision to start Kirk Cousins over RGIII and now one of their premier Wide Receivers has left today’s game for good.
Jackson attempted to receive a deep pass from Cousins when he injured his hamstring and this was only on the second drive of the game. Following that play, Washington went up 3-0 and they currently lead the Dolphins 10-7 at the half.
Hamstring injuries can be tricky depending on the extent of the injury as they have a tendency to become aggravated unexpectedly. Since the injury just took place, there is currently no time table on his return to next week’s game.

Moses Malone, who was a three time NBA MVP and Hall of Fame member, has passed away at the age of 60. Malone, named one of the NBA’s 50 greatest players, was the Finals MVP as he led the Philadelphia 76ers to the 1983 championship.
Malone passed away overnight with no word yet on the specific cause of death. Malone was the first player to go pro right out of high school, signing with the Utah Stars of the American Basketball Association (ABA) in 1974. He played the following season for the Spirits of St. Louis before moving to the Buffalo Braves after the ABA-NBA merger in 1976.

The 6-foot-10 center, nicknamed the “Chairman of the Boards,” averaged a double-double while playing for eight teams over 20 NBA seasons and led the league in rebounding six times. The 12-time All-Star averaged 20.6 points per game and 12.2 rebounds over his career. He won the MVP in 1979, 1982 and 1983.

Floyd Mayweather Reiterates Retirement “My Career Is Over, It’s Official”
It doesn’t seem like many people believe him but Floyd Mayweather, with emotion in his voice, once again confirmed he really is retiring and we just saw him in the ring for the last time. After a dominating performance over Andre Berto, Mayweather was asked about the retirement question and stuck by his guns, saying “My career is over, It’s Official”.
Everything Floyd says about retirement sounds good and makes sense but still very hard to believe he won’t go for 50-0 at some point. He really has nothing to prove to anyone at this point but he is a competitor at heart and the urge to come back will likely be too much to fight eventually

Boxing: 49-0! Floyd Mayweather Makes Easy Work Of Andre Berto, Dominates Fight Start To Finish
If this indeed winds up being Floyd Mayweather’s final fight, he went out just the way he likes, in total control! Mayweather controlled the bout from the opening bell and wound up toying with Berto in the later rounds. It was a clean sweep on all the judges scorecards in a fight where Floyd pushed the action much more than he has in recent fights.
Most people don’t believe for one second that tonight will wind up being Floyd’s last fight. He put on a display reminding everyone why he is on top of the game. Mayweather threw 410 punches, landing 57% of them which is just incredible. On the flip side, Berto only landed 17%.
The judges had it scored 117-111, 118-110 and 120-108 giving the champ a unanimous decision, which was obvious after the first couple rounds. There was quite a bit of trash talking between the two throughout the night but it was all for not as Floyd just made it look like a sparring session.
If you didn’t see the fight, overall you didn’t miss much. Just another brilliant display by the champ.

Man Stabs Woman, Is Shot By Guard At DC Station
A man stabbed a woman and then was shot by a security guard at Washington's Union Station on Friday, sending people fleeing outside as trains were briefly stopped and officers converged on the massive transit hub.
"I saw people running, and I just started running. It sounded like it was right next to me," said Ursula Lauriston, a 28-year-old magazine editor who was ordering lunch at Jamba Juice, one of dozens of restaurants and shops in the station. "... People were completely confused as to what was going on, and no one knew whether to run or hide."
The incident came on the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, but police said there was no apparent connection between the two.
"Obviously, with this being 9/11, fears were heightened and escalated," D.C. police Commander Jeff Brown said. But officials said they believe the incident was the result of a domestic dispute.
The security officer - a private security guard associated with the Securities and Exchange Commission, across the street from Union Station - saw the man stabbing the woman and chased him, police said. The man turned and pointed the knife at the security guard, lunging at him, according to police. The guard fired one shot, and the man was wounded in the side, officials said.
Both the man and the woman's injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening, police said. Their identities were not yet released.
Union Station - home to Amtrak's headquarters - is bigger than the nearby U.S. Capitol, and some 90,000 people pass through each day. Flags on the towering poles outside the station's main entrance were flying at half-staff Friday in remembrance of 9/11.
Lauriston said that once she was outside the station, she felt "that need to capture the moment." She snapped a photo of people fleeing and tweeted it. She said she's relieved that police suspect a domestic dispute is to blame.
"I thought it was a terror act just because Union Station would be a prime location for something like that," she said.

Remembering 9/11
I remember September 11, 2001 very well. I was working in FYE in Baltimore's Mondawmin Mall. Rapper Jay-Z had just released his Blueprint album when word of the attack on the Twin Towers started to circulate. The mall, schools everything closed early in the hours following the tragedy. It was a surreal day.
There are several planned events in the Baltimore area today to mark the 14th anniversary of 9/11.

Dr. Jen Welter Says She’s Not Walking Floyd Mayweather to Ring for Andre Berto Fight
Jen Welter says she has not been asked to walk Floyd Mayweather to the ring to fight Andre Berto on Sept. 12th but the NFL’s first female coach will be at the weigh in.
Welter says the person who originally confirmed that she would be in Floyd’s entourage was a former employee who was not authorized to act as Jen’s rep.
TMZ Sports was contacted by the person after submitting a media request through Jen’s official website. Jen says the person should not have had access to the site and says the situation “is being resolved.”
Jen’s REAL rep, Leslie Swan, has been in touch with Floyd’s camp to discuss the possibility of walking Floyd to the ring, but no formal offer has been made.
A lot of buzz was created when Welter accepted Floyd’s invite to attend the upcoming fight. Tensions grew even bigger when news broke about her walking him to the ring. Welter said Mayweather reaching out to her was a step in the right direction in dealing with his domestic violence past.

Serena Williams & Drake Show Some More Public Displays Of Affection
No matter how hard they try to keep things quiet, Drake & Serena Williams continue to be caught out there showing each other some love. You remember recently someone’s camera captured some intimate moments between the two stars in the back of a restaurant. Apparently last night or sometime earlier this week, someone else with a camera stalked the “couple” and waited for them to come outside and when they did they were all over each other. They smartened up once they realized they were out in the open, not wanting to put on a show for the internet.

Safaree Samuels has finally closed the door completely on his past relationship withNicki Minaj.
The rapper covered up his last tattoo of the YMCMB artist with roses. He began the process months ago by inking over tats of his ex that were on his chest.
Nicki is now dating Meek Mill, so it's highly doubtful she cares. She and Safaree were together over 11 years, prior to him breaking up with her.
