Plot Twist: Virginia Shooter Vester Lee Flanagan Used To Be A Male Escort

The infamous Virginia shooter who gunned down a journalist and a cameraman on live TV seems to have a few skeletons in his closet that are coming to the light.

Vester Lee Flanagan not only used to be a news anchor for the same station as the two people he murdered, but he also was a male escort!

Documents reveal that Flanagan was attempting to put his sketchy past behind him – which used to earn him approximately $2,000 a night in exchange for sex. His disturbing suicide note reads, “I totally CANNOT score right now. And this is from a man who used to be paid hundreds an HOUR to sleep with men…one was a hot YOUNG guy in SF…he once asked, ‘Can I f— you?’ He offered to give me $1,000…I playfully said, ‘No.’ Well, he gave me 2k.”

While attempting to flee from the police, Flanagan called one of his good friends, Robert Avent. He apparently showed not one ounce of remorse for having taken two people’s lives just a few minutes prior.

“I’m just trying to stay calm after hearing news like that. …You’re talking to me in a calm voice after you did that? You shot these people. How come you’re talking to me in a calm voice?’” Avent remembers saying while on the phone just minutes before Flanagan took his own life.

“Well, you know, I just feel, I didn’t like those people,” Flanagan said – according to Avent.

N.W.A.’s Debut Album Is Back In The Top 5 On The Billboard 200

How dope is this? After over 25 years, N.W.A.’s debut album Straight Outta Compton is back in the top 10 on the Billboard 200, thanks to the success of their biopic of the same name. The album comes in at number 4, having moved 44k units since last week. Dr. Dre’s new Compton album also had a good week, coming in at number 3 with an additional 51k units sold since its debut last week. Cube and Eazy-E also re-appear, with Cube at 99 for 1991’s Death Certificate (6k units), his greatest hits compilation appears at #118 and his solo debut, Amerikkka’s Most Wanted, at 150, while Eazy‘s 2002 posthumous compilation Eazy-Duz-It/5150 4 Tha Sick lands at 33 with 12k sold.

Virginia Reporter And Photographer Shot To Death On Air

A Virginia TV reporter was interviewing a woman at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Va., when shots were fired.

Both the reporter and the photographer died at the scene. Alison Parker, the reporter, was 24-years-old. Adam Ward, the photographer, was 27. They were both from the Virginia area.

Alison was a graduate of George Mason University. Adam graduated from Virginia Tech University.

The General Manager at WBDJ7, Jeffrey Marks, came on the air at the station and announced their death.

"I cannot tell you how much they were loved by the WDBJ7 team," Marks said on the air.

Police are searching for the gunman. Virginia Governor Terry McCauliffe tells WTOP the shooter was a "disgruntled ex-employee" of WBDJ7.

Sadly, the both were engaged. Alison Parker's fiancee was Chris Hurst, a meteorologist at WDBJ7 and Adam fiancee is understandably heartbroken. From everyone here at RadioOnFire.com our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victims.

The ex-employee Vester Lee Flanagan, also known as Bryce Williams, shot himself on Interstate 66, police said.

NFL: Mercedes Benz Buys Naming Rights to Falcons New Stadium In Addition to Saints

The Atlanta Falcons’ new stadium officially got its name today: Mercedes-Benz Stadium.  Falcons owner Arthur Blank announced, as expected, that Mercedes Benz, a corporate newcomer to metro Atlanta, has bought the naming rights to the $1.4 billion stadium under construction downtown.

“We could not be prouder to put ‘Mercedes-Benz’ on our stadium,” Blank said.

Blank and Mercedes Benz USA President and CEO Steve Cannon said the naming-rights deal will run for 27 years but would not disclose financial terms. Cannon called it the largest marketing deal in Mercedes-Benz history.

Mercedes-Benz, a German luxury automaker, announced plans in January to move its U.S. headquarters from New Jersey to metro Atlanta. The company is temporarily housed in an office park in Dunwoody and plans to build a new headquarters campus in Sandy Springs near Georgia 400 and Abernathy Road.

Mercedes’ name on the Atlanta stadium will create an unusual situation because the New Orleans Saints, the Falcons’ division rival in the NFC South, already have the automaker’s name on their stadium: the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The new stadium – under construction next to the Georgia Dome and slated to open in 2017 — also will be home to a Major League Soccer expansion franchise, named Atlanta United FC, and numerous other events.

Ashley Madison: 2 Suicides Reported After Dating Site Hacking Controversy, Toronto Police Say

Last week, hackers exposed about 37 million users of the extramarital affair site. Avid Life Media, Ashley Madison's owner, faces a class-action lawsuit seeking $760 million in damages. 

Toronto police warned hackers of the Ashley Madison infidelity website that their actions "won't be tolerated," and said there are two unconfirmed suicides linked to the breach.

"This hack is one of the largest data breaches in the world," said Staff Supt. Bryce Evans at a Monday morning news conference.

More than 30 million email addresses and some credit card data were released as a result of the hack last month.

"Your actions are illegal and won't be tolerated," said Evans about a case also now being investigated by Canada's privacy commissioner.

He didn't give any further details where the unconfirmed suicide cases may have occurred. Evans also said there have been reports of hate crimes connected to the hack.

Avid Life Media, which runs the infidelity website, has offered $500,000 to anyone who contributes information that leads to an arrest in the case. The Toronto-based company has not revealed how much data was stolen by hackers.

IndyCar: Driver Justin Wilson in a Coma After Being Struck in the Head by Debris

Justin Wilson was airlifted out of Pocono Raceway and is in a coma after he was hit by a large piece of debris during Sunday’s IndyCar race.

Wilson was struck in the head by a piece of Sage Karam’s car when Karam spun into the wall. Wilson’s car veered left and directly into an interior wall.

In a statement just after 9 p.m. ET Sunday, the Verizon IndyCar Series said:

“Wilson sustained a severe head injury during today’s event at Pocono Raceway.

“Wilson is currently in a coma and in critical condition while undergoing further evaluation at Lehigh Valley Health Network Cedar Crest Hospital in Allentown, Pa.

“IndyCar sends its thoughts and prayers to Justin, his family and Andretti Autosport during this difficult time.

“Additional updates to Wilson’s condition will be released when available.”

There were no further updates as of this morning.

Daz Dillinger Says If Universal Won’t Make Dogg Pound Film 50 Cent Will

Recently we reported that Daz Dillinger announced that there will be a sequel for the block buster film ‘Straight Outta Compton’. However his reports were shut down early Saturday when Universal Studios released a statement claiming they had no plans to start such a project. Dillinger is now firing back saying if Universal doesn’t want to get in on the project, he has just the man for the job; none other than 50 cent.

In an exclusive interview with VladTV, Daz Dillinger said, “F*** Universal.” He revealed that he and rapper and ‘Power‘ producer, 50 Cent have been talks to make the biopic that could serve as a sequel to ‘Straight Outta Compton.’ The sequel would expand on Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound and Tupac who were seen briefly in the original film.

The possibilities for a sequel to ‘Straight Outta Compton’ are endless and a guaranteed money maker. The film made twice it’s production cost in the opening weekend raking in $60.1 million.

Roy Jones Jr. (62-8, 45 KOs) continued his comeback trail on Sunday night at the Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut. The 46-year-old boxing great is in his 26th year as a professional, and while it’s very obvious that he’s a shell of his former self and is beating nobody of consequence, he’s at least racking up some KO wins in the process. Against 12-9-2 Eric Watkins, the former middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight champion put away his foe with his historically powerful left hand.

As long as Jones keeps fighting lower caliber fighters, then he should be okay. Lord knows we don’t want to see another brutal KO like he suffered at the hands of Denis Lebedev.

While many are still calling for Jones’ retirement, he has fights against Danny Santiago (33-7-1, 19 KOs) on August 29th, and vs. England’s Tony Moran (15-6, 5 KOs) on September 12th for the vacant WBF Intercontinental Cruiserweight title

Oh and apparently Jones is still rapping. He reportedly told everyone to buy his new album after he won the fight. Well he’s certainly not a quitter…

Indonesian Plane Missing Over Papua Region With 54 People On Board

A plane transporting 54 people from Jayapura to Oskibil has gone missing. Approximately ten minutes before the scheduled landing, the plane contacted the control tower in Oksibil requesting permission to descend, however the plane never arrived.

The missing Trigana Air flight is said to be carrying 49 people including five small children and five crew members. The plane took off from Jayapura at 2:22pm local time for what was supposed to be a quick 40-minute flight to Oskibil.

When the plane never arrived, Trigana Air sent turboprop plane to travel the same route to look for the missing aircraft. According to Trigana Air’s service director of operations captain Beni Sumaryanto, “The weather was very bad, it could not find it and the plane was turned back to Sentani.” He also said, “Oksibil is a mountainous area where weather is very unpredictable. It can suddenly turn foggy, dark and windy without warning,” adding, “We strongly suspect it’s a weather issue. It is not overcapacity, as the plane could take 50 passengers.”

Bambang Soelystyo, of the National Search and Rescue Agency BASARNAS, said: “We can’t confirm it has crashed. We can say contact has been lost with the plane.”

It is still very unclear what happened to the aircraft however, officials believe that weather may have played a huge role in it’s disappearance. Reports indicate that the weather was clear when the play took off in Jayapura however, there were signs of thunderstorms over a mountainous area in the flight path.

The Trigana Air plane is one of at least three planes to go missing near Asia over the past year. Trigana Air Service is one of many airlines banned from flying. According to the European Commission, it’s “because they are found to be unsafe and/or they are not sufficiently overseen by their authorities.”

RIP: Civil Rights Leader Julian Bond Dies At 75

Julian Bond, a civil rights activist and longtime board chairman of the NAACP, has died. He was 75. 

The Southern Poverty Law Center says in a statement that Bond died Saturday night in Fort Walton Beach, Florida after a brief illness. 

The Nashville, Tenn. native was considered a symbol and icon of the 1960s civil rights movement. 

As a Morehouse College student, Bond helped found the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee and as its communications director, he was on the front lines of protests that led to the nation's landmark civil rights laws. 

He later served as board chairman of the 500,000-member NAACP for 10 years but declined to run again for another one-year term in 2010. 

Bond also served in the Georgia state legislature and was a professor at American University and the University of Virginia.

Tessa Hill-Aston, president of the Baltimore City Branch of the NAACP released the following statement regarding the death of civil rights icon Julian Bond:

My heart is heavy and saddened this morning after learning of the death of former NAACP National Board Chairman Julian Bond.  He was a man of extraordinary passion and vision who spent his entire life seeking to make America a more just and humane nation for all people.

During Julian Bond’s tenure as our Chairman he helped the NAACP understand Dr. King’s idea that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”  He broadened the civil rights coalition to include all groups committed to equality and fairness.  He combined compassion with amazing intellect and took the NAACP’s mission and principles to a new generation of activists and to the farthest corners of the world.

He will certainly be missed but will never be forgotten.

Master P Reveals Upcoming Movie “Ice Cream Man: King Of The South”!

Another hip-hop vetran wants to bring his life story to the big screen. Master P was one of the foot soldiers holding down the rap scene in New Orleans in the ’90s. Now the No Limit founder and owner is making sure his fans know the real story and isn’t waiting for some major film studio to pick it up either.

Master P is taking it upon himself to release his upcoming biopic. Ice Cream Man: King Of The South will detail P’s come-up in the South and describes how he went from a young buck in the New Orleans trap scene to the business-savvy veteran he is today. The film will focus on his life from the launch of No Limit Records in 1990 in California to his breakthrough success with his fifth studio album The Ice Cream Man in 1996 plus much more. Since P is writing the film himself along with Parde Bridget and Wayne Conley, he could also fuse his former No Limit cohorts Silkk The Shocker, C-Murder, Mystikal, and hopefully the late Soulja Slim into the storyline.

Master P a.k.a Percy Miller isn’t new to the world of film. He made his directorial debut in the 1997 film I’m Bout It and has made appearances in several other films since then. He’s also starred in several TV series as well as his son Romeo Miller’s self-titled show on Nickelodeon. Clearly, Miller is more than capable of putting out his own biopic no matter how biased it may seem. Look out for the film to hit theaters in Spring 2016. Former US President Jimmy Carter Has Cancer

Former President Jimmy Carter announced he has been diagnosed with cancer in a brief statement issued Wednesday. 

"Recent liver surgery revealed that I have cancer that now is in other parts of my body," Carter said in the statement released by the Carter Center. "I will be rearranging my schedule as necessary so I can undergo treatment by physicians at Emory Healthcare." 

The statement makes clear that Carter's cancer is widely spread, but not where it originated, or even if that is known at this point. The liver is often a place where cancer spreads and less commonly is the primary source of it. It said further information will be provided when more facts are known, "possibly next week." 

Carter announced on Aug. 3 that he had surgery to remove a small mass from his liver. 

Carter, 90, was the nation's 39th president. After leaving the White House, he founded the center in Atlanta in 1982 to promote health care, democracy and other issues globally. 

He has remained active for the center in recent years, making public appearances at its headquarters in Atlanta and traveling overseas including a May election observation visit to Guyana cut short when Carter developed a bad cold. 

Carter Center spokeswoman Deanna Congileo called the surgery earlier this month "elective" and said Carter's "prognosis is excellent for a full recovery. She declined to answer further questions at the time.

Boxing Great "Sugar" Shane Mosely believes he got swindled in his divorce from ex-wife, Jin.

The former couple were married from from 2002 to 2011, but his lawyers have discovered a NY State Certificate of Dissolution of Marriage, from 2006, meaning Jin was already married and committed bigamy when she said "I do" to Shane, according to TMZ Sports.

Jin made off with a king's ransom in the divorce.

New York Jets QB Geno Smith Out 6-10 Weeks After Teammate Breaks His Jaw With Sucker Punch

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -- Geno Smith's hopes for a breakout season with the New York Jets took a major blow - to the jaw.

The quarterback will be sidelined at least 6-10 weeks with a broken jaw after being punched by teammate Ikemefuna Enemkpali in the locker room Tuesday morning. Smith, entering his third season, required surgery to repair the injuries.

Coach Todd Bowles made the stunning announcement in an impromptu news conference before training camp practice was scheduled to start.

Enemkpali (EN-um-PAL-ee), an outside linebacker in his second season, was immediately released by the Jets. Bowles said Smith and Enemkpali got into an "altercation" in the Jets' locker room Tuesday morning.

"It had nothing to do with football," Bowles said. "It was something very childish, and he got cold-cocked, sucker-punched - whatever you want to call it - in the jaw."

Bowles wouldn't go into detail about the nature of the altercation, except to say: "It was something very childish, that sixth-graders could have talked about. It had no reason for happening."

Smith, who was having a good training camp, will be sidelined for the rest of the summer and likely for the first few games of the season. The season opener at home against Cleveland on Sept. 13 is five weeks away.

"Depending on how surgery goes, we'll see where we go from there," Bowles said.

22-year-old Bobbi Kristina recently passed away after being on bed rest for months from a fatal accident in the bathtub of her home.

Currently, rumors are circulating that a photo of Bobbi Kristina in the casket is being sold around to the highest bidder. Allegedly someone from her family snapped the photo during her funeral service.

However amidst all of the drama, photos of her final resting place where she will be buried at hit the internet. So that they can rest in peace together, Bobbi is going to be buried right next to her mom, Whitney Houston.

White House Staffer Arrested After Firing A Shot At Capitol Police Officer During Lover’s Spat

According to the police report, around 2:30AM on Friday Singletary texted the Capitol Police began questioning the officer about another woman. The officer refused to answer any of her questions, and was then asked to leave the residence. The two went outside to the officer’s Cadillac Escalade. Singletary got into the vehicle and demanded the officer’s cell phone. When he did not give in she searched his bag, taking out two phones and a .40 caliber Glock 23 service weapon and ran back into the home.

The officer followed her back inside and she demanded the passwords to the phones. He again refused and she pointed the gun at him. She said, You taught me how to use this, dont think I wont use it.” She continued to demand the passwords and when he still refused she said, “Your phone is more important than me holding this gun on you?”

At this point the officer was sitting on the couch with about 10 feet between them. Singletary then fired one shot and missed. The officer then fled the home and called the police. Capitol police released a statement saying, “We are investigating the matter mindful of the underlying criminal investigation. Department employees are held to a high standard of conduct and the matter will receive a thorough review consistent with our policies and procedures,”

Ferguson Man Opens Fire On Police. Is Critically Injured During Return Fire On 1-Year Anniversary Of Mike Brown's Death

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) — A man who authorities say opened fire on officers in Ferguson, Missouri, on the anniversary of Michael Brown's death was critically wounded when the officers shot back, St. Louis County's police chief said early Monday.


Chief Jon Belmar said at a news conference that officers had been tracking the man, who they believed was armed, during a protest marking the death of Brown, the black, unarmed 18-year-old whose killing by a white Ferguson police officer touched off a national "Black Lives Matter" movement.


The man approached the officers, who were in an unmarked police van, and opened fire, Belmar said. The officers returned fire from inside the vehicle and then pursued the man on foot when he ran.


The man again fired on the officers, the chief said, and all four officers fired back. He was struck and fell.


The man was taken to a hospital, where Belmar said he was in "critical, unstable" condition. Authorities didn't immediately release the identities of anyone involved, but Tyrone Harris told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the injured man was his son, 18-year-old Tyrone Harris Jr.


The elder Harris told the newspaper shortly after 3 a.m. that his son had just gotten out of surgery.


None of the officers was seriously injured. All four have been put on standard administrative leave. They were not wearing body cameras, Belmar said.

RIP - Rapper Sean Price of Boot Camp Click Passes Away

According to reports from family and friends, rapper Sean Price died suddenly this morning in his sleep at his home in Brooklyn. Price was 43 years old.

The cause of death is not known at this time, however an update will be made following the release of an autopsy report.

Price entered the rap game under the moniker “Ruck” along with his partner Rock as the group Heltah Skeltah, the famed duo from the Brooklyn Hip Hop collective Boot Camp Clik. In the past decade, Price revamped his career as a solo artist using his given name of Sean Price, releasing several projects including his latest, Mic Tyson, which arguably one of the best albums of 2013.

11 Million Users Already Signed Up For Apple Music In It's 1st Five Weeks

Apple Music is off to a roaring start.

According to Variety, 11 million users have registered for the free trial since it launched on June 30th. Out of that number close to 2 million have selected the $15-per month family plan, which allows access to up to six users.

The true test for the company will be whether it can hold on to users who haven't already signed up for a plan.

The standard plan is $9.99 for a single member.

One of the way Apple hopes to bring in more new users is by offering exclusive content. Music giant Dr. Dre will launch his next album, Compton: The Soundtrack, via Apple on Friday, August 7th. The entire project will be streamed starting Thursday at 9 PM ET and running to 12 AM ET.

Busta Rhymes Arrested on Second Degree Assault Charges

Busta Rhymes was arrested Wednesday (August 5) night on second degree assault charges, according to the NYPD. The Brooklyn-born rapper was arrested after a "verbal dispute with a male" gym goer whom he allegedly threw a container of Lean Body Protein drinks at. The victim refused medical attention following the incident. 

According to our police source, Rhymes was at the Steel Gym at 143 W. 23rd St. in Manhattan when the incident happened and he was booked at the 13 Precinct.

Chris Brown's Baby Mama FiIes For Supervised Visitation For Their Daughter

RadioOnFire.com - Since finding out that he had a child, Chris Brown has made what seems to be a pretty big adjustment in his life and stepped up to the plate to be a good dad. However, according to new legal documents filed by Chris Brown’s baby mama Nia Guzman, he’s still not responsible enough.

Chris Brown and Nia Guzman have been involved in an interesting court dispute over custody of their one year-old daughter Royalty. Chris has filed for paternity so in the future he can file for joint custody while Nia wants full paternal rights to the baby. She doesn’t believe that Chris is responsible enough to care for the child. She’s even gone as far as to file for supervised visitation. She just doesn’t trust Breezy alone with Royalty or want her around his friends which she says all have substance abuse problems.

The judge has not made a ruling on their case yet. Poor Chris, he still can’t win when he’s trying to do the right thing.
